PhilRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The cottage was gorgeously idyllic and private. The cottage itself was super well appointed and comfortable. The exterior was landscaped beautifully and the views were breathtaking. We got engaged during our visit because my fiancé was moved to propose due to the perfect setting. We will return if we are back in the area.

A tranquil and peaceful stay in this spacious and well equipped cottage. We were well looked after by Jenny and co. and felt totally relaxed. Enjoyed our interactions with farm life, which included birthing a lamb, petting the donkies and seeing the newborn kittens, it made our stay very special. The house is well located for trips into Edinburgh and Glasgow, or to enjoy nearby countryside. You won't regret it!

Good location for many attractions such as Blair Drummond Safari Park, Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies. We were lucky to have good weather so the excellent play area and hot tub were much enjoyed each day. Would definitely recommend booking.

Tigh Nam Muc

AliceRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Tigh Nam Muc is a beautifully decorated cottage with all the required amenities and very comfortable beds. It is ideal for trips into Edinburgh...would recommend the park and ride as parking fairly limited in the city centre. We enjoyed Portobello, the National Museum of Scotland, Dalkeith Country Park and Edinburgh zoo. Although not far from Edinburgh, it felt peaceful and quiet. Ideal for families like ours (toddler and a 4 month old!) Sue was very responsive and helpful. Would stay again and recommend to others.
The spacious lounge area is adorned with a comfortable brown sofa and wooden rocking chairs. A coffee table displays various books and magazines. A flat-screen TV is mounted on the wall, complemented by large windows offering views of the garden outside. Warm lighting enhances the inviting atmosphere.

Forth Reflections

Such a lovely place, the house is in a unique position a little above the main street and the views are exceptional. South Queensferry is a pretty little town with lots of restaurants, pubs and independent shops plus easy to get into Edinburgh (car, train, bus). The house is so well thought through, clean, tidy and cleverly makes the most of the space. A really special place to spend your break.

Very lovely cottage in beautiful countryside, stunning views from the garden. Cosy, lots of character, attractive contemporary interior, good bathroom and en-suite loo. Harbour Hill Cottage

AlisonRating, 5 starstoday
What a beautiful spot! Very quiet. We all slept very well! Wish we could have stayed longer to appreciate the beautiful surroundings. It is a little remote so if you don’t have a car (which we didn’t) may end up being a little expensive going in and out of Edinburgh, but we always got an Uber when we wanted one. Perfect for walkers and cyclists. Wish we had time to explore the area more. We may be back! Thanks, Kerry!

Dundas Castle Boathouse

DuwayneRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We thoroughly enjoyed the Boathouse. It was relaxing and beautiful. Swans, ducks, and geese (even baby swans) greeted us on the first morning. A long walk around the grounds in the evening provided stunning views of Dundas Castle. That walk is a must! Everything is set amongst lush green and beautiful flowering rhododendrons. The cabin is just right for two- cozy and private with beautiful views.
