Waterfront vacation rentals in East Sussex

We have just returned home after a week at Beach apartment. The location was ideal, just across the road from the beach & an easy level walk into Hastins. The apartment was spotless & equipped with everything you could need for your stay. Huge windows overlooking the sea made the apartment very light & airy. The view was wonderful being so close to the sea. Communication with Sarah was excellent with any queries we had being answered promptly. There is no parking at the property but we could stop to unload the luggage & Sarah had suggested locations to park which were within 5 minutes walk. We didn't need to pay as plenty of free roadside parking within that 5 minutes walk. Plenty of good place's to eat close by. We found the bus service in the area to be very good & used it for days out to Rye & Eastbourne. Rye is a very pretty town, great for a day out. We had a great holiday & wouldn't hesitate to return to Sara's apartment if we return to Hastins in the future.

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment , the highlight has to be the stunning view of the sea, which we never got tired of. The apartment itself was spotlessly clean and tidy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into making it feel welcoming and well-equipped. The host was incredibly responsive and accommodating, which made everything easy from start to finish. Highly recommended, we’d definitely love to come back!

Had a lovely few days at the apartment . Easy to find with great directions and communication from Wendy . Fantastic location , close to everything loved the old town and fish and chips at Maggies . The apartment itself was very well equipped with everything that was needed during the stay , lovely and clean . Overall a lovely trip , would highly recommend 🤩

Firstly, June was a good egg! Lovely lady and made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. She was always there if we had any questions or needed anything. The flat was literally perfect for a couple of nights away. Clean, everything was new. The whole place was comfortable, bright and airy with an amazing little roof terrace to sit out on and have a morning coffee or a glass of wine at night. Loads of lovely little bars, cafes, shops, etc. within a stones throw and the beach is across the road. Its our first time in Brighton for 15 years or more and we were blown away by how nice the place is. Great shops, bars were all heaving, amazing vibe, great crowd. Honestly, the whole weekend was just what the Doctor ordered and we will be back. P.s, the bed was so comfy too!!!

We have stayed at Doug’s place several times and always enjoy be there. We love the location as it is away from the noise and bustle of central Brighton but within a few minutes walk you can be in the centre. Also, there are lots of little restaurants and cafes just around the corner. This is not the bleak corporate let that you sometimes get, it is very individualistic and quirky and we feel right at home as soon as we arrive. Doug is very easy to deal with and always responsive. This would always be our first choice when going to Brighton.

Easy to find and a great location. Space was spotless and the instructions/manual were clear and made things easy to find. Lovely stay.

A million dollar view of the sea! It’s breathtaking and a joy to sit in the sun room and watch the world go by with a panoramic view of the sea. Great communication with the hosts. They allowed us to drop off our luggage before check in time. Comfortable bed, the fresh flowers were a lovely touch. It’s a little out of the town but easily walkable along the front or through the characterful Kemptown. Grocery shops close by and plenty of restaurants around. We had a wonderful stay in the place perfect for a couple. Thank you!

The flat was so big and had everything we (family of four) needed. The sea view from the front room was amazing and all facilities, towels and bedding were super comfortable. A perfect location with everything on our doorstep to keep kids and parents entertained! The Mediterranean restaurant downstairs was so good too. Anthony’s communications and check-in instructions were brilliant. Would definitely love to return for another stay.

The house has all the comforts. The house is a house with stairs. Jo had warned about this. So we weren't surprised. In the house you lacked nothing and everything was clean and tidy. Parking was a bit of a problem. But in the end, it worked out well.

A rather unusual 70’s inspired home, with a great garden space.. Orange leather sofa looked great but actually wasn’t that comfortable.. otherwise would highly recommend

Spent a lovely and peaceful family weekend at Simone’s place. Upon arriving the Airbnb was very clean and tidy, looked just like the photos with some added personal touches in the kitchen (thank you). A lovely view over the beach which was so much calmer and peaceful in comparison to others beaches further along. 10 minute walk to the high street with some very nice independent shops. Simone was flexible on checkout which was great for us as we had nice weather the weekend we visited. 🙂 Would highly recommend, and I would definitely return!

Cleo was great host, responsive and kind. Excellent location, we loved staying right on the beach. It was nice being in a quiet little town, but having several options nearby that bigger beach towns have available. Our only complaint was the road coming in was pretty rough, but Cleo can’t change that.

The house is stunning, the layout is perfect and was spotless. Level 1 kitchen/lounge/outdoor balcony. Level 2 bedrooms. Level 3 attic room with chairs, binoculars and great views (each level has great views!) We were a group of 4 although if 8, the size and layout would have allowed us to have our own space. The bedrooms, 2 with en-suites, a large family bathroom and all with sea views. Watching sunrise over the ocean and the dawn morning bird chorus transported me to tropical holiday vibes. The house overlooks gardens, bluebells and iris were in bloom. Down the house steps and after about 50 metres you are on the sea wall/beach. Jo and Andrew have been great hosts, great communication prior to our trip and provided a welcome pack of really useful local information, thank you for the snacks and wine. Relaxing on the balcony, watching the ocean and world go by was the perfect way to start the trip. If I ever return to Hastings, first stop would be to try and rebook this AirBNB

Great place and great location, close to Rye, the beach and to plenty of farm animals :)

We had a wonderful week in this property. The view from the living room and the bedrooms is stunning. The facilities were excellent. We like to do a lot of our own cooking and the kitchen was brilliantly stocked with every item we needed. We also fell in love with the Bose CD player and with a great choice of CDs. With the view and the music, the TV was redundant. There was also a very well stocked cupboard full of games for all ages. We didn’t have the best weather for the week but it didn’t spoil the week. Watching the bad weather from inside a warm and comfortable home was a pleasure. Our favourite pub was the Royal Oak and Castle inn, right opposite the entrance to Pevensey Castle. Fabulous food, great service and a lovely garden if the weather is good. Worth a visit!

Peaceful haven of calm and tranquility, with the most friendly and helpful hosts, and what a view! We loved our few days at The Lookout.

Excellent apartment in great location, gated community, and facing the marina. Easy distance to central Brighton either via the beach, electric railway, car or uber.... Good local restaurants if not eating in town. Apartment was well equipped, clean and functional. Secure parking. A vey enjoyable long weekend stay by the coast.

Richard was a wonderful host - so helpful and responsive and gave us lots of recommendations. We had a really fantastic stay. The flat was bigger than anticipated! Definitely would recommend if you’re looking to do the Seven Sisters hike! Thank you Richard :)

Absolutely perfect stay in Brighton. The place was exactly how described and was perfect for what we were looking for. The free parking is such a bonus and caught my eye when I was searching for a place. The flat is super comfy with everything you need. Will was a 5 star host who was always so quick to reply and even got us a parking permit as we were down in Brighton earlier then the check in time. We will definitely be back.

We have just arrived home after a wonderful short break at Seascape, celebrating my husband’s 70th birthday. Seascape is a beautiful apartment. Spotlessly clean and it felt like it had been newly decorated and furnished. It’s great to have two levels and two bathrooms. Felt very spacious and incredibly peaceful with the most glorious view. We spotted dolphins out in the bay from the balcony. Highly recommended. By far the best Airbnb we’ve stayed in. We also enjoyed the cafes and restaurants in St Leonard’s and the walk to Bexhill. Really didn’t want to return to 30 degrees heat in London. Thank you!

Kimberley was an excellent host, extremely responsive and so helpful and understanding. she gave lots of tips for the area and the property is in the very centre of Hastings, right on the seafront and next to old town. This does come with slight noise that you would expect being on a main road, but the property is really funky and unique inside - love the decor and location. perfect Hastings get away - visit the fire fields!

Seaside HQ was a brilliant base for our first trip to Brighton! The flat is beautiful - even nicer in real life than in the photos and is spacious, clean and quiet. The nook is a really super bonus, it’s such gorgeous space to relax and unwind in. The location is excellent, we were able to walk to all of the places/areas we wanted to see and explore. There are shops and restaurants nearby to pick up supplies/get food - the pizza from Al Forno (3/4 min walk away) is delicious! Vikki was a terrific host, communication was super and every step of the process was really straightforward. Highly recommended!

We had a great stay! Simon was very helpful and we were able to check in independently and leave our bags for a short while following check out which we really appreciated. Lots of space in the bedrooms and only a short walk from the station. Thanks Simon!
