The dyke edge is about 2 km, bakery 1 km (Rysum), other purchases 11 km (Pewsum) or 12 km (Emden) The Tidehuus is a good starting point for extensive bike rides in East Frisia. Ein eigenes elektrisches Tor führt auf das Grundstück. Auf dem Gelände sind viele Winkel und kleine Hütten zu entdecken. Sollte es einmal kühler werden, dann könnt ihr gemütlich im Garten ein Korbfeuer anzünden oder den Ofen im Wohnzimmer.
