Family-friendly vacation rentals in Durango

We liked the location on the golf course. The hot tub was working and was great. The home was clean and comfortable.

Sue has a beautiful home with phenomenal views from every room. The home was the perfect space for our family of six. Everyone had their own space and the amenities are endless. Sue is a great communicator and the home was very easy to find. The house has a fabulous kitchen. We were very pleased with our stay.

This place was spacious and close to the ski lifts- 5 minute walk. We liked thatbot had separate beds in the spare bedroom so our kids didn't have to sleep in the same bed. It is overall a nice place.

Scott was great, this place was well stocked to take advantage of the nearby hot springs and nice to be able to take a small hike right from the house. Great place to have a laid back weekend.

We had an absolutely lovely time here. Mark's home was very cozy and welcoming. We got to see wildlife right in the front yard and really enjoyed that. The location was close to downtown so we were able to get to and from easily. The fireplace and hot tub were a plus. Thank you for everything!

Laurie’s place was exactly what I expected. Having been there previously I knew this building was older. Laurie did a great job keeping the condo minimal but still provided everything you could need. It was just a short walk to the lifts and was so nice being right at the ski resort and not having to deal with parking, etc. Definitely worth the price.

Kevin, was very responsive and helpful! My family was very comfortable in the house. We loved fires in evening after skiing all day. We had a great vacation!

Awesome place to stay, very quiet and peaceful with beautiful view. Also well stocked with standard items like paper towels and dishes. Beautiful drive into telluride too!

Jason’s place was the perfect place for our Labor Day weekend. It was a beautiful cabin, in a serene and scenic area that was not too far from town. Short distance to many beautiful hikes and our dog had the best time swimming in the nearby reservoirs. Everything at the cabin was as described, and had everything we needed to cook/grill, and it was very clean upon check in. Jason was super responsive and even recommended a few local hikes and restaurants. We would absolutely come back again. If this place is available next time you are in the Durango area, don’t miss it, you will love it here!

The loft was spacious and comfortable and the views from the loft were beautiful. The directions were easy to follow, and we found the place with no problems. We had the opportunity to meet the host and talk with her and pet the hounds on the second day. You might want to stop at the store before you arrive and pick up a bag of peeled and cut baby carrots to give to the horses at the gates of each fenced area on the ranch. They appeared anxious to come greet us and seemed to enjoy them and the attention.

We initially had a little trouble finding the cabin: the Google map attached took us up the neighbor's driveway. But after fumbling around a little we found it and moved in. (We stayed a week). Everything was as advertised: the kitchen facilities were fine (hot plate, microwave, refrigerator;no stove). The shower worked well, bed was comfortable, good chairs and tables. The single large room was set up well, and didn't feel cramped. No closet or other storage. We enjoyed being in it, and especially enjoyed sitting out in the rocking chairs on the porch. The WIFI was good. Lighting could have been better. Even with numerous lamps spread around, it was still a little dim for reading. The location for us was fabulous- every morning we walked up the dirt road 5 minutes to the Boggy Draw trailhead and walked a different trail before breakfast. We drove out to Hovenweep, to Mesa Verde, and one day made a long loop over Lizard Head Pass. Overall: High quality rustic cabin in the woods.

Our stay at Kristie’s was just perfect. Quiet, peaceful, away from town, beautiful sunlight pouring into kitchen in the morning, and Kristie and Scott were always responsive to questions if needed. Would definitely book again! My Companion and I were in Durango for some motorcycle and mountain biking. The parking in front of the Airbnb was large enough to park my SUV and small 10 foot box trailer; which was very convenient and helpful! The house was clean, comfortable and perfect for us. Full kitchen with most of the utensils and items you might need., including dishwasher, stove, microwave, and coffee is via a Keurig machine which was easy and convenient. There is also a gas grill out back which we used a few times and it worked great. Wifi is consistent, albeit a little slow if you are used to very high speeds. I also ordered a few things off of Amazon, and Kristie generously provided the shipping address, so it was no problem getting a package delivered if needed. Recommend!!

Our family of four adults enjoyed the peace and beauty of the location of Terry's place, and were very happy with the spaciousness and appointments of all the rooms and outdoor patios. Would definitely stay there again.

Nancy and Tom are not only wonderful people and perfect hosts, but their Enchanted Retreat almost defies description. The thoughtfully designed house is spacious, comfortable, and fully equipped, with beautiful views in all directions. The setting is like an island in the sky, both relaxing and invigorating at the same time, with the complete tranquility underscored by the sounds of birds, the breeze, and occasional brief rain or distant thunder and lightning over the La Plata range. We could have easily never left the property, but we did venture over to neighboring Mesa Verde, and up the incredible San Juan Skyway to Telluride and Ridgeway. By now it is evident that this is a very special place. Five stars is hardly a sufficient rating, and we doubt if we could ever match or exceed this for a western mountain retreat. This is a very rustic gem away from everything, I absolutely loved how peaceful and quiet it was and I’ve never seen so many stars at night in my life! Elena was incredibly friendly and the hospitality was phenomenal!

Loved everything about it. We stayed with three small kids. They had so much fun on the tire swing and playing with the cats and other animals. The country location was a perfect stop-over on our way to Santa Fe and the precise directions and coordinates given by our host made it easy to find on Google maps

My family had an amazing time staying at Lisa's Casa Durango. The house was just as accurate is not better than the photos and description. All the beds were comfy and the kids were very happy with the daybed and trundle. Having a pack n play available for us to use for our 11mo was wonderful! We loved eating out on the deck and hanging out on the hammock. The kitchen is fully stocked with pretty much anything you could want to use including a blender which helped for banana milkshakes on our last night! It's very walkable being only a block from Main Street but somehow still quiet in the house which was fantastic. I'm glad Lisa recommended riding the trolley because that was definitely a highlight for our littles. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

As always, our family had a great and memorable time in this wonderful, beautiful and comfortable home. We’ve rented this house every year since 2021 and are never disappointed. Lindi is always so responsive anytime I need to reach out.

Great house for a family with two parents, two teens, plus one grandparent — there were a few confusing power switches and unclear how to operate fireplace in living room, but those were very small things; a great place for us while attending a family wedding in Mancos! Lorie Jean was very responsive to our few texts before arrival. The only significant surprise was that the house structure is shared with what looks like a small business or additional small residence — although it seems like there is no access to the rental house from the attached unit, we did hear people moving around in the attached areas a few times. No big deal :) Great spot in an amazing beautiful part of Colorado!

We loved our stay at the loft. It was perfectly situated, felt so private, and the overall layout and aesthetic were so lovely. It was a great spot for us for our 4 days in Durango with our 3 yr old son and dog. The private patio was perfect for afternoon tea or a cocktail, and we loved the walkable proximity to town. Joe was an excellent host, and we had everything we might have needed in the loft. We would definitely book again!

Great space. it was bigger than we anticipated. Plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 teens.

We had a wonderful stay at Jonathan’s! The condo is very clean and in such great location. We were able to walk to several downtown restaurants and were a short distance to parks and such. We would definitely stay here again!
