Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Downtown San Diego

Enjoyed our weekend at Brenden & Brenda’s place. Check-in was easy and the location was easy to find. The home was clean & inviting. The private backyard patio was great for hanging out and socializing. A short drive to the Gaslamp District made super convenient. Will definitely come back.

This a great home base for an outstanding stay in North Park. We loved the small backyard for our dog! The house was cozy and extremely comfortable. We slept so well all three nights of our vacation The location is amazing. It’s a short walk to dozens of restaurants and bars/breweries. Highly recommend this place!!!!!

This was a great place to stay. It’s super nice, was very clean, and the living space in general was very comfortable and felt like home. The Little Italy area was perfect—lots of great restaurants and a fun area to walk around. The place is also super close to a trolley stop, so can very easily get into the downtown area without driving/ubering. We stayed here and took the trolley right to the convention center for a conference. There are two beds which can each sleep two people comfortably. I think otherwise you’re looking at the couch/air mattress. We only had 3 people so this wasn’t an issue. Only things I would change about the place would be an included parking space and earlier check in time.

Quiet location, exactly as pictured and described. Parking could be a challenge if you have a large vehicle but being able to park in the garage made it easier. Great communication!

This was our second stay at this property. It was so great the first visit, we wanted to stay here again. The location is amazing! So close to Liberty Station, which has great restaurants, bars and shopping. Also a short drive to Little Italy. The property is dog friendly, and our 2 German Shepherds loved it! The yard wraps around the house and is fully fenced and safe for dogs. It's a very nice and clean casita set back from the main house, so there is a lot of privacy. The hosts are always very responsive and friendly. Highly recommend staying here!

We really enjoyed our stay. The place was great and had lots of accommodations. While the on-site parking was wonderful, it can be challenging to get into the spot when other cars are parked in the alley. Very pet friendly area for your furry friend.

Ariel was very accommodating from the start. Her home was very clean, spacious and well kept. I’m so glad she had toys, a pack n play and highchair for my infant. It was so convenient and comfortable. I would definitely recommend and I would stay here again! :)

Zina & Craig are family for people far from home! They adopted our family into their lives from the very first interaction on the app!! Snacks, tokens, the vibe was high and the accommodations were PERFECTION! Definitely coming back!! The 420 was on point and the environment so special!! We had a fantastic week in La Jolla! John’s place was charming, spotless, and perfect for our family. The home was well-stocked with thoughtful amenities—including beach gear—and had everything we needed to feel comfortable. The location is unbeatable: a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood within a few minutes walking distance to the beach, great restaurants, coffee shops, and more. John was a friendly and responsive host who made everything easy from start to finish. Honestly could not have asked for a better host. Highly recommend for families looking for a relaxing, convenient stay in La Jolla. We’d love to come back!

It was wonderful. The views from the deck were amazing. Every bed was comfortable. I loved the bowl of gummy’s they had for us 😁. It’s was perfect for our family reunion everyone had privacy and the family room’s furniture was perfect to cozy up by the fire and watch tv. I loved the weather there. I opened up the windows and we had perfect weather so we never had to turn on the air conditioner. Kelly allowed us to put the cover over the pool and it warmed up the pool and the grandkids had a blast. We had multiple generations at home ( 4 generations from 85?to 1 yr old 😁) and everyone was happy. Thank you for the opportunity to enjoy family together.

I had a wonderful stay at Chris’s place! The house was spotless, comfortable, and exactly as advertised. Chris was an excellent host—very responsive and helpful throughout my stay. His clear communication made everything smooth from check-in to check-out. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, well-managed space.

Stay at Katri’s was great. Had delicious cookies waiting for us when we checked in, which was a breeze. House was spacious and entire lot was very big. Pool was great and even after we had told them that no heated pool would be necessary, Mother Nature had a different idea and gave us some more than unexpected chilly weather, so they had no problem throwing the heater on for us. Freeway in the background was hardly a noise problem for us personally. Just far enough that it didn’t affect us, and was nice to see what our morning commute was going to be like. Brought two dogs with the group that absolutely loved everything (after one of them finally got over his fear of the staircase). All in all a great stay in a great neighborhood. Cant comment more how quickly they responded to us in the days leading up to the trip, and while we were there. Great hosts!

We loved our stay, Bruce was so friendly and very accommodating. We had quite a large group stay there, 2 of my kiddos included- Bruce had a little bucket of toys to play with for them which was such a nice surprise. The house was clean and everything in working order. While we were there, most of our time was spent outside in the beautiful backyard where there was such a great vibe! We’d for sure stay here again next time we’re in San Diego!

Will and Janine see such gracious and mellow hosts. Their place and the surroundings are stunning and the lodging is a wonderful space for relaxation and restoration. The pool area and sunshine were just what we needed. The kitchen area is small but well-appointed. it being a pet friendly space was much appreciated. Don't get us started on the bathroom! While it's a shared wall with their part of the house, we never lacked for privacy. Lastly, the value for what you pay is top tier. Highly recommended and we hope to return next time we're in San Diego!

The house is beautiful! The property is even better in person. The house is set up great has everything you need. The backyard is huge and beautiful. Great space to relax and spend most of your time. The host was very attentive and reached out everyday to see if we needed anything. Great property for a big group.

The pool was great! I wish the kitchen had had a few more supplies/necessities -- but other than that, everything was lovely!

The apartment is located in a new building with a beautiful lobby and a lovely terrace. It’s quiet enough and conveniently close to the Gaslamp Quarter. The place is clean and features an elegant design. The kitchen and bathroom are fully equipped with everything you might need. Overall, the stay was extremely comfortable, with a clear sense of care for the guest’s experience. There is some construction nearby, but it didn’t cause any discomfort at all — nothing to worry about.

Amanda was a warm and welcoming host and had a back up contact if anything at all was needed. Her townhouse was nicely decorated and super close to Petco Park - easy walking for breakfast and easy driving to the other things in San Diego we wanted to do. Will surely stay with her again should we be in the area.

Great location! The place was nice and was perfect for the two of us and our two dogs. Travis was very responsive when we got locked out of the garage and came right away to fix the issue. So close to all the restaurants and bars!

We loved our stay at this very clean and spacious apartment. We were attending a conference at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina and the apartments is a super convenient location for conferences at the Marriott or the San Diego Conference Center. There are also tons of walkable distance restaurants and bars in the Gaslamp quarter.

Budd and Matt were very responsive, provided great local recommendations and their place was perfect for our few day stay in San Diego! The neighborhood was gorgeous and very dog friendly. Highly recommend for a San Diego stay.

PERFECTION! Instantly wished we had planned for a longer trip! The home was amazing, clean and beautiful with such a calm energy. The host Matthew was very informative of the history of the building as well as super fast response time to any questions we had. The most helpful was when we forgot our charger after checking out and they quickly helped us! It was such a relief with how fast Matthew replied and how helpful it was! Only bad thing was how short our trip, we would love to stay again and stay longer! Recommend to anyone out of town but also to locals like us who wanted that staycation/change of scenery. Definitely created that “home away from home” feeling!! Thank you to the host!

Loved my stay here! The location is fantastic -- peaceful and quiet, yet just a short walk to shops, restaurants, cafes, and the beach. The cottage is compact but thoughtfully equipped with everything you need. It was the perfect size for a solo trip; it might feel a bit snug for a group or family, so I'd recommend it for one person. Michael was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and even stopped by to say hello and goodbye. I hope to come back for my next work trip!
