Perfect spot to stay by Windermere. Walkable to shops, restaurants and the lake. Quiet and tucked away. Comfortable and clean.

The Snug met our needs exactly, and Alison had thoughtfully left many extras in the kitchen to make our stay comfortable. We were sad to leave! Perfect location for exploring one of the most scenic stretches of Hadrian's Wall, very convenient for some of the best sites. We are already planning to book again next year.

Michael was the perfect host. Friendly and helpful. The cottage was so cosy and quaint. The surroundings beautiful and peaceful.

A lovely loft - perfect and just what we needed for our 2 day mini-break. The loft was much bigger than we anticipated so that was a lovely surprise. The little touches were great too - fresh towels, milk, butter, instructions for the hot tub, even some jigsaws for the rainy afternoon. Everything we needed. The outdoor space was so peaceful. Even though we were on the farm’s property, we felt right at home, comfortable and had the privacy we wanted. The neighbours were adorable - cows and their calves! The outdoor space was secure for our two dogs. Plenty of room for them to stretch their legs and play on the grass. Thanks for a great stay!

We stayed here for a week and had an amazing time. The location is perfect, within walking distance to Windermere town (about 10 mins) and also Bowness (about 20 mins). The accommodation was spacious and clean and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Gary and Ange were fantastic hosts, they made us feel very welcome whenever we bumped into them and went above and beyond to return a personal item we accidentally left behind. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again next time we visit the Lake District.

Gary was a brilliant host. Excellent communication, clear instructions, very helpful and always responsive when needed. The apartment was lovely and warming, super comfortable and clean - felt right at home. Would 100% stay again.

What a fabulous few days me and my boys had ..I’ve never seen them so relaxed (ages 35 and 37 )x I think it was the lovely energy we felt in the beautiful Nest xx looking out over the river each morning set us up for the day. Would recommend 100% , we had everything we needed ..I couldn’t fault it ..the bedrooms immaculate and the beds /bedding were soft clean and extremely comfortable. We enjoyed the gym and pool offer also x staff there were lovely at the Swan Hotel. Thank you xx

Excellent accommodation, reasonably priced. Well stocked kitchen but plenty of food available within a 5 minute walk including amazing south Asian restaurant 7eventy1, good pub food at the Crown and Cushion or various takeaways including fish and chips and pizza.

We stayed for 5 nights and absolutely loved it! James was an excellent host with very clear instructions on directions to the property and how to gain entry. The property was immaculate on arrival with a very handy information book with instructions on how to use all the appliances. The kitchen was well equipped and has a good sized dining table, the living room was comfortable and with a smart TV making it easy to login to Disney+, Netflix ect. Both bedrooms had plenty of space and built in wardrobes and both beds were extremely comfortable. The bathroom was also very good with a spacious shower, we had no problems with the power or heat of the shower. The neighbors are very friendly too. The pub which is just a two minute walk over the road also served lovey meals and good had good service. We would definitely recommend staying here and would return if in the area again.

The Old Map Shop is a distinctive and quaint property set in a beautiful location. It is smart, compact and tidy with a well equipped kitchen and owners who clearly have a green agenda. There are several lovely walks nearby. The home EV charger was a big bonus for us. Carol was responsive to all queries in a timely manner. Many thanks for letting us stay.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this stunning spa chalet with my partner, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Inside, the chalet was beautifully designed, with cozy interiors, tasteful décor, and every modern comfort thoughtfully provided. Had a lovely nights stay here, the house was really well equipped and lots of lovely little additions to make our stay nicer. We didn’t get to explore the area much due to it being so rainy but it looked lovely! Yvonne was a very helpful host and gave loads of advice and tips on where to eat out or visit nearby. The house was decorated beautifully and was lovely and cosy, would absolutely come back!

We had a wonderful 3-night stay during our hiking adventure. The place was very comfortable with several pubs just a few minutes away. We also took advantage of a very well equipped kitchen and a local supermarket (we cooked our own dinner one night). If I were returning to Sedbergh or the area, I would book the same place again, it was a true gem. The host provided great instructions, it was easy to find the place and retrieve the key. Big bonus is ample free parking in the area and proximity to a lot of great hiking locations (including some starting just from the town itself).

This place is absolutely stunning, no photo could possibly capture the true beauty of the building. The huge windows overlooking the stream are pure magic. It was an absolute dream of a stay, if you ever feel the need to just switch off and be alone with your thoughts and really unwind this is the place to do it. 100% I will be booking this again, everything was spotless and the decor is straight out of a cottage/industrial living magazine. There is nothing negative to say about this place other than the pure jealousy I feel that I don't live there full time.

This was my second time staying at Ben and Kate's place. I would definitely recommend it if you're looking to stay somewhere peaceful but within a few minutes walking distance into the town centre. They have the comfiest bed and leave delicious chocolates too.

Abigail’s is the most beautiful home! We visit every year not only because of the home but because of Simone, the host is amazing!! She really is a 10/10 host, very easy to talk to, caring and very responsive to your needs! lovely apartment which was well equipped and spotlessly clean. Great central location with fantastic public transport near by. Lottie had sent some reccomendations to visit and places to eat. Like most places Mondays are tricky finding a restaurant open. Everything was great and Lottie was a kind and responsive host who left us gorgeous local goodies to ear, much appreciated

What a lovely flat in sleepy Sedbergh! Great location and very peaceful. The flat is so comfortable with the softest carpets too. Lots of extra towels and bedding available. A very well equipped kitchen and a lovely feeling of calm as soon as we stepped inside. Everything was really well thought out and very clean. We stayed for two nights but will definitely stay again and for longer next time. Amy very kindly extended our check out time and always responded to questions quickly. I highly recommend visiting Sedbergh and staying in this stunning little flat!

We really enjoyed our stay here at Whitbarrow. The apartment was lovely, with the special addition of the balcony overlooking the beautiful views, which we enjoyed with a cuppa or two. Our boys loved the toys and the drawing that was available to play with but, of course, their highlight was the pool. Local distance to Lowther, buttermere, Penrith, pooley Bridge, Keswick etc so lots to do. We’ll be back soon! 🙂
