This place was beyond our expectations. Immaculately presented, super clean, tidy, jaw dropping views. I can't fault it in any way and I can't rate it highly enough. Will definately look to return in the future. Stunning!

We have just returned from a lovely weekend at Badgers Rest. The home was beautifully clean, had everything we needed and in a great location. The facilities were amazing nearby too.

The lodge was fabulous, really enjoyed our stay. I even picked up a couple of decor ideas. Had a lovely time feeding the ducks, swans and other wildlife, very relaxing. Shops and amenities easy to get to by car, lovely restaurants around the area. Would absolutely recommend.

Extremely pleasant week in Kendal and surrounding area using Cathy’s lovely accommodation as our base . Fully equipped , very comfortable , lovely decor and the bonus of private parking blended with some very fine weather all added into a perfect week for our family holiday get together. Highly recommended to anyone wishing to be close to amenities within lovely surroundings…..

I'd stay at Jackie's place again whenever I next visit no question. Good price, and the place is exactly as she's described. And whenever I messaged her she always responded back to me within 30mins at most which is excellent

House was as described, beautiful setting with wonderful views of the hills and mountains. Rooms are spacious with comfy beds and bathrooms are nicely finished with good showers. Kitchen is a good size and has all required implements. A great location for exploring the central lakes and soaking up all that Ambleside has to offer.

Our family had a lovely stay at Burrowbank at the end of the summer holiday. The house is fantastic with all the facilities you could ask for. The kids loved the swings and most of all the pool, while the covered (heated) BBQ area meant evening meals outside watching the sunset. Great location and setting, very private and we would definitely come again and recommend to others. Martyn and Christine were very helpful and went the extra mile (even posting my daughter’s disposable camera that she left behind). Can’t think of any negatives and we made some great/happy memories.

Chris’s place was immaculately clean and well presented as described in the listing. It was perfect for a long weekend and is well located for exploring the western lakes. Chris was always quick to respond to questions and had plenty of helpful tips on the area.

Loved staying at Bens for a few nights to climb scafell pike! Very welcoming, had everything needed for a short stay, and in such a lovely location with the beach only a 5 minute walk away. The views from all the windows are beautiful. If you like train spotting there is a bridge to watch from just outside the cottage too! Lovely ice cream shop and place to get breakfast (Mawsons) a 5 minute drive away (or a nice walk straight down the beach) in Seascale. Thanks Ben, would love to come back!

Excellent location, very tranquil with views of the fells. Very convenient for walking the main peaks. The house was as described, the beds very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. There were even some teabags and cooking oil there which i had forgotten to bring! Hilary was super helpful and always responded promptly to our queries. The only downside of the house is the size of the downstairs rooms. It was perfect for us as a party of four, but larger groups might struggle to fit everyone into just one living room or eating area, although there is plenty of both across all the downstairs rooms. Very enjoyable weekend at High Lowscales. The views are especially impressive, so while you enjoy a beer you look over the coast. The house is spacious and well catered for and the jacuzzi and sauna are nice touches. Mark was very responsive to a few questions and requests and gave us loads of information about the local area.

A beautiful place, I'd even consider It in the winter too, having the log fire going would really comfy If the weather was bad.

a large beautiful house in a peaceful, remote and serene location. The house was stocked with lots of towels, plenty of glasses, cups and cutlery. Lots of space for a group to hangout and eat together. hosts were great and responded quickly. the fire was delightful.

They are amazing, thoughtful and kind. The house was very clean with all the required amenities. They even kept a baby cot for our baby !!! Billy is always there to support throughout our stay. Such an amazing memorable stay in a peaceful place. Everything was smooth and we are fully satisfied, Highly recommended

We did a lot of different activities in the Lake district but the house was the highlight of our trip, we’d have been happy just to spend the whole time in the house. The house has been designed to get the most out of the views and the decor is amazing too, it is really clean and feels brand new. I’d say it is definitely worth paying a bit more to stay here over anywhere else in the local area, and we will be returning at some point in the future, we miss the house already. Also Team Laik and the owners are all fantastic, communicate well and make everything easy, so if you haven’t used Airbnb before I’d go with these, you can use the messaging system on the app and get a response almost straight away should you have any questions.

Can’t thank Janice enough for our home from home experience to explore the Lake District. It was exactly as it was in the pictures and more. Janice left milk, bread, butter, jams, orange juice, beers and wine and much more. It was exactly as described! Highly recommended if you’re looking to explore the Lake District Would stay again 100%

Great place beautiful garden , really homely, host responded really quickly to any questions. We had a few issues with the cooker, again the host was really quick to assist with this. Was really peaceful and in a beautiful setting !

What a beautiful property. Decor is so nice. So homely and the beds so comfortable! Perfect place to explore all of the lakes. Rob was a lovely host from start to finish and recommended lots to do. I will definitely be back. Thank you so much 😊

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for a few days. The cottage was absolutely lovely and super clean with a great selection of appliances and facilities. Louise was very easy to communicate with and very kind. We would definitely recommend!

A beautiful house in a lovely setting, great for family get togethers, location right on the lake was amazing, & easy access to lovely local town of Glenridding for essentials. Wide range of facilities at the cottage, we really enjoyed the private outdoor eating area next with the wood fired outdoor grill. Very nice well appointed kitchen with quality appliances, bathrooms clean and with quality fittings. Outside garden/woodland area was perfect for us and our dog, although the many steps and steep paths would not suit everyone, but this factor is clearly explained in the information host provides. We found some rooms a little dark, especially on a rainy day but there are some lovely lamps which can be moved around if required. Overall I would recommend this cottage as a great place to stay & enjoy the lake district and all it has to offer.
