David's home in the Guerneville redwoods was a magical place for a solo retreat. The beauty and attention to detail was wonderful - from the art to the amenities to the guidebook! David was very responsive and kind in his communications. Would stay again.

This is a charming place, beautifully kept with lovely furnishings. We really enjoyed the well appointed kitchen as we cooked every day. The yard and gardens are beautifully kept, peaceful and serene. Oranges growing right outside the house! We were in town for a wedding, and Santa Rosa is right in the middle of so many enjoyable things to do. We hiked on the CCT out past Bodega Bay, enjoyed restaurants in Healdsburg, visited the redwoods and shopped at the Barlow in Sebastopol. Thank you Cheryl for sharing your lovely home. We had a fabulous time!

This was our second time staying at Red Door Retreat and we had another great visit. As before everything was exactly as pictured and described. Checkin was very smooth and communication with Brett was great. We particularly enjoyed the several nice outdoor spaces and the hot tub. Quiet setting but short drive to local attractions and Guerneville town center. Highly recommended!

Absolutely Loved Our Stay at Rustic High Tide Cottage! This place is a dream for nature lovers! The location is perfect for hiking and kayaking—so much to explore right from the doorstep. Falling asleep to the sound of waves crashing beneath you is pure magic. We woke up to beautiful natural light streaming in every morning, and even got the occasional friendly moo from nearby cows—such a charming touch! The host was thoughtful and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. We didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to come back!

We had the most incredible stay at Mama K’s! The property is absolutely stunning, nestled right on the Russian River with gorgeous views and a sense of peace that’s hard to describe. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely relaxed and at home. Also, the wildlife was great to watch out for! Many deer, birds (even eagles!) and foxes! The space was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully designed (lots of great updates!) with everything we needed. It was the perfect mix of comfort and charm, surrounded by nature’s beauty. Our dogs were in heaven! They loved exploring the property, lounging on the deck, and soaking up the fresh air. It’s not always easy to find a truly dog-friendly place that feels this special, but Mama K’s delivered on every level. We’re already planning our next visit. Thank you, Mama K, for sharing this magical place with us, we’ll definitely be back.

Awesome, quirky, and cute. Hot tub is nice, as is the whole seating area out there. If you are a fan of creative spaces, different styles of stays, and don’t need or do fancy, this place is ideal. It is creaky and if you are over six feet tall you’ll have to duck at one spot, but that stuff adds to the cute factor not subtract. Good spot

We had a wonderfully relaxing stay at Dennis and Dan’s amazing cottage! The view was amazing and the beach less than a 5 mins walk away. We walked down to the beach for long walks with our dogs twice daily, they had a ball! It’s wonderful to be able to let your dogs run off leash on a beach, there are so few places in CA that you can. We had planned on venturing out but found ourselves glued to the deck people watching, listening to the waves and chilling out. The cottage was immaculate! We’ve never stayed in a place that is so well stocked with everything you could possibly need. The hosts have literally thought of everything! We couldn’t leave without first booking for next year.

Amazing stay! Very peaceful, beautifully surrounded by nature, nice and quiet. Very spacious and super clean, great for travelers with dogs. Only advice: bring a flashlight as it gets very dark at night and it will help if you have to take the pups out around the vicinity and/or if you arrive late at night.

We had a wonderful time at Carolyn’s place. We loved spending a day on her deck overlooking the lake - so beautiful. We also took advantage of her fire table out front. She also had a sturdy fold out table for dining - we initially didn’t see it in the pictures but she actually had everything we needed to enjoy a full meal around a table. Bonus points that we could fold it away for more space when not using! Carolyn was also very responsive and checked in daily on how we were doing. Would love to come back!

Love staying at the Harbor Cutie. Love, the fact that our cars can be behind the gate, we have the whole place to ourselves, the bay is directly across the street, and it’s the last house on the road. The town is small and cute, but there are restaurants, grocery stores, and many sites to see. Our host, Jodie, is awesome. She responds quickly. She is ready to help us with anything we need and she’s very sweet. We have stayed there twice now and I’m looking for more stays in the future. Thank you Jodie

We very much enjoyed our stay and loved the cottage and the surroundings immensely. Great communication with host easy to reach if any questions. Loved the yard space for bbq and the fire pit area and our dog felt comfortable. Very peaceful space and inside cottage very clean and felt at home. We visited many areas and sites from the cottage made for a good home base for us for our adventures. We have all great things to say about our time spent at the cottage and host. Very appreciative. The location was perfect for exploring—close to the Russian River, Armstrong Redwoods, and not far from the coast. But honestly, just being able to relax in the quiet, surrounded by trees, was a gift in itself. We also really appreciated how warm and responsive you were throughout our stay. We really enjoyed our stay here! Beautiful home and garden. Area was easy to navigate and parking was a breeze. Host was incredibly responsive as well. My only regret is we were too early to see the wisteria in bloom! We would stay here again!

This home and location are outstanding. The house was exactly as described and the setting was tranquil and relaxing. We loved the coffee station, crisp linens and fluffy towels. The house is very well maintained and Emily is very responsive. For this weekend it was just two of us but the place would easily accommodate 6.

Andy is a great host! Place is in the center of town off of 101. Charming restaurants and bars in the area. Place is cute and is great for a night’s stay.

Our stay was perfect for the destination wedding we attended. The location is peaceful and I wish we had had more time to enjoy. If we had another event in Healdsburg, we would definitely stay here and add more days. Tim is a responsive host. Thank you, Lisa and Doug.

Home away from home! My younger sibling, two dogs and I spent a relaxing weekend here recently. It was raining almost the whole time, only making it even better to curl up on the couch with a stack of books. If I could've gotten the fire going, it would've been even cozier! Kitchen is fully stocked - we made all our meals. The neighborhood is super green and verdant, great for the eyes (but not very walkable - no sidewalks). The backyard is not fully fenced in, so please be careful about letting your dogs off-leash. Rachel was super proactive, helpful, and welcoming in all communications. We didn't use the hot tub this time but maybe next time! (And the mattress was perfect - shocking, since my sibling prefers soft ones and I prefer firm. How did it manage to suit us both? Is this wizardry?)
