The lake is fed by the crystal clear waters of the Rainbow Springs system and the dark tannin stained waters of the Withlacoochee River. Back in the 1930's, the water shed was dammed up on its far western edge. The result was a creation of a 12 mile long lake with a river twisting through the center, all of which you will enjoy from your waters edge dock. The Boat House was once a tin boat shed with floors open to the water and housed two boats. Today, you will find warm, cozy furnishings, comfortable beds, a quiet location and sunsets every evening!

Bring your boat/ jet ski or rent one from Eaton's Beach Aquatic sports, they also offer sunset cruises and water taxi to Eaton's Beach restaurant right from our dock!

Florida Breeze - 18 Acre Wildlife Sanctuary

Have you ever wanted the opportunity to feed an egg to a fox? Or feed a grape to a lemur? Hand feed a deer or sheep? Dance with a cockatoo? If so you’ll get to have these and many more experiences here during your stay. Our Airbnb is different, and our main focus is on offering rememberal experiences to our guests. We have a small family run 501C-3 wildlife rescue here on our 18 acre facility that you will be staying at. We do live on the property, but in a detached house across the driveway.

Located in Rio Vista which has it’s own private gated 3 acre park on the Rainbow River! The park has bathrooms, pavilions, grills and a boat ramp - so BRING YOUR BOAT! Relax riverside at the private park where you can fish and swim. Park is five minute walk (2 blocks) from the home. Free for guest use are kayaks and paddle boards. They can be transported with the golf cart which has a hitch and kayak trailer. If your vehicle has a hitch you may to use it for other area destinations.
