Cottage vacation rentals in Brazos River

We had a wonderful stay! The place was beautiful and matched the photos! The rustic charm was adorable. My husband and grandkids really loved getting to fish. And we all enjoyed getting in the boats and going out on the water! Cassie was a great and responsive host, and we will definitely try to return again in the future!

Perfect for a quiet getaway. The pool and hot tub were wonderful for relaxing and a shining addition to the stay. Joel and Emily were super responsive and accommodating. We may be back with friends to reserve each cabin.

I really enjoyed the stay for my sister’s birthday! We were able to float the river that was right down the road about 5-10 minutes away! The kitchen was beautiful and very nice to cook in! We really loved the backyard, as we utilized the hot tub and projector! Everything was really clean too! Definitely recommend!

Sweetest women I have ever met. I was trying to find a place in a hurry on a budget and she was very flexible and helped me with everything while traveling back from vacation at the same time! She called me as soon as possible and apologized for a semi late response. Overall great host and will definitely stay here again! BEAUTIFUL HOME!

We had such a wonderful stay! It was relaxing and the home was so cute and comfortable. Cynthia also dropped by with the most delicious cookies! :) We will definitely be staying here again when our travels take us back to Wimberly.

As I sit here and write this review I'm comparing my pictures that I took to the pictures of the rental and the more disappointed I'm getting. The pictures are nothing like what is shown for outside. The inside of the house was awesome. As for outside the grass was overgrown. The number of chairs that are shown was way less. Not to mention of the two chairs one was broke. Luckily we brought our own chairs. No corn was provided for the deer. I did reach out about the corn and was told it was in the pantry, but there wasn't any there. If you are not going to enjoy the outdoors and plan on staying inside this house is perfect. I wish there was a way to provide my pictures for reference.

Memorable lake house! Really close to the Lake and State Park! House is super modern, with good amenities for a family or couples such as bbq pit, TV's, starlink wifi, hot tub, etc. We enjoyed our stay.

Being able to sit on the front porch and watch the animals 29 feet away is about as peaceful and relaxing as it gets. We wanted to escape and this place is great for that. Very close to Main Street Fredericksburg, but feels far away from it all. There are other air bnb rentals near the Farmhouse, but not so close that you feel smothered. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

It was a wonderful, cozy, relaxing experience! I love the cabin and what y’all have done with it! I live in what is left of the country in south Fort Worth (Burleson) but coming out here reminds me of what it used to be like there! Thank you so much!

Perfect little spot to crash for the night with my boyfriend and dog! Cozy, clean, with a nice outdoor space. It was easy to access and just a quick stroll to local food. Would definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful stay celebrating my son’s 14th birthday! The property is spacious with beautiful scenery, and we really enjoyed the tub pool, fire pit, and playing outdoor game ball throughout the large open area. It was the perfect setting for a fun and relaxing getaway. Overall, everything else was perfect! The hosts were friendly, responsive, and made our stay smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommend this place for a peaceful escape with family or friends!

The house was really nice everything was with in driving distance when we went out and we really enjoyed the fire pit definitely looking forward to coming back!

Lydia's place was perfect for what I needed. I was traveling with my dog to attend a graveside service. I didn't want to leave my dog in the car. Lydia accommodated my changing schedule. I felt comfortable there especially since a family home was within site and shouting distance. I wanted separation but not absolute seclusion. The big farm dog was a bit too friendly and got in the way but I wasn't really hanging out and my dog probably liked having him around. Be sure and study your directions. My phone had me turn off of the correct County Road (I was just blindly following the phone instructions) and had me turn down another county road which was rough. I wouldn't have felt comfortable staying there. Anyway, I realized that I was on the wrong road and was happy to find the right place. It was a little bit of a struggle. The value for the price was just right. It's a comfortable place to sleep and get out and about in the area.

My stay at this cottage was exactly what I thought it would be. It was peaceful, clean, and quiet. I only wish I had more time to fish in what looks like the perfect spot off the backyard.

We absolutely loved our stay! The space was cozy, quiet, and beautifully decorated—it felt just like home. One of the biggest perks was how close it was to the university, which made visiting our college student so convenient. The setting was peaceful and serene, with deer passing through the property, adding to the charm. Everything about it was just right. Highly recommend!

You're never really sure what you're going to get with a guest house, even from the pictures. We walked in and were so pleased. Everything in the house was spotless, it couldn't have been any cleaner. The bed was so comfy, Same with the outdoor furniture. It was so nice to sit on the back screened in patio and not worry with bugs. The perfect place to have your morning coffee enjoying the beautiful view. The kitchen was very large and had anything you could possibly need to cook a meal if you wanted. The master bathroom was beautiful and also had a walk-in closet with extra pillows, blankets, etc. Bathroom toiletries were provided, which was a nice touch. The communication with the owner was awesome. He patiently answered a lot of questions for me, and it was never more than just a few minutes before he replied. Granbury and Glen Rose are both nice towns to visit. I think you will be very happy with the affordable rates they have.

We can’t say enough about this place. It was just what we needed for rest and relaxation. We are Airbnb hosts ourselves and really needed a close little weekend getaway. It definitely fit the bill. We will most definitely be back.!!!

The property's prime location on Bear Creek Pass offers an idyllic setting, making it the perfect escape from the everyday hustle. The highlight for us, beyond the sheer tranquility, was the exceptional fishing. My husband, a passionate angler, was absolutely thrilled. He reeled in an impressive 30 bass, making his trip incredibly memorable. It's rare to find such a productive and beautiful fishing spot! The entire environment felt incredibly serene, with the gentle sounds of the water and the lush surroundings creating a deeply relaxing atmosphere. We look forward to coming back. Had to come to town for an awful reason(death in the family) but the host was very sweet and worked with our ever-changing situation. The house was comfy. The beds were great. Hot water and water pressure held up very well. Loved the decor. It was very peaceful and the perfect place to lay our heads after a long stressful day. We will definitely be back!

This was our second time staying at the Lake Cottage. My husband and I loved it so much the first time around, that we wanted to come back for our 10th Anniversary! Highly recommend!! This place meets our expectations everytime and is so peaceful and relaxing. Great place to unwind and getaway. The views here are beautiful, and Diane is an awesome superhost! She's friendly, and attentive to all the needs for your stay to be perfect. The Coastal/Cottage decor really makes the place stand out. it's cute and makes for a relaxing vibe! Will definitely be future stays! This has easily become a favorite spot of ours😉

The home was absolutely incredible—spacious, spotless, and tucked away in a beautiful, private setting with plenty to do nearby. Sherry was an outstanding host—communicative, helpful, and incredibly understanding. This AirBnB had everything you could possibly need or want, plus a few thoughtful extras you wouldn’t even think of. I genuinely have no complaints. The only minor hiccup was finding the right house at first—the side facing the street wasn’t the front entrance, which threw me off a bit. But the locals were amazing and really helped us out, even sharing info on local events. If you’re looking for a peaceful lake getaway, this place is a hidden gem—and for the price, it’s hard to beat. I’d absolutely come back!
