Vacation rentals with a kayak in Brazos River

We had a great time. The house was the perfect size for us. The view of the lake was very beautiful. Sandy was amazing to work with and answered all of our questions about the area and places to eat.

Jaimee’s rental property was exactly what our family needed for a vacation. Perfect game room, play area and pool for families with kids. Minor issues came up during the stay and Jaimee met our needs quickly. Our parents are elderly and have difficulty getting around but this property made it accessible for all things needed on the first floor. Our only concern was that in pictures it appears that the yard is more level/flat getting down to the dock but it has a much steeper slope. Our dad gets around primarily on scooter and it was too steep for him to ride down to fish. Certainly not a complaint, but something to be aware of in the event mobility issues are an issue for guests headed out to the dock. Otherwise we loved our stay and made great memories as a family!

We had an amazing family friendly vacation at Streamside Retreat. The home was spotless, very well organized, and everything was clearly labeled, which made settling in easy. Despite the 100+ degree weather, all the rooms stayed perfectly cool and comfortable. Our 5-year-old had an absolute blast in the playroom and especially loved the doggie door! The kids had so much fun swimming and kayaking in the river, roasting marshmallows, and even catching a few fish. It was such a peaceful, memorable stay. Denise was incredibly prompt and helpful throughout. We will absolutely be repeat customers. Highly recommend!

We had a great stay overall! The home was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing trip. We especially enjoyed the paddle boards and kayaks—such a fun bonus and easy to access. The location was convenient to find, and while the surrounding neighborhood has a bit of a mix in terms of home conditions, the property itself felt like a little retreat. Being able to utilize a guest account on the Roku TV was great! There were a couple of minor issues: another group of guests was a bit loud at night, and we found a dead scorpion on the floor when we first arrived. We also think the door locks could be improved to help guests feel more secure. Despite that, we really enjoyed our time and appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout the home. We’d definitely stay again!

Beautiful lakehouse! Just a walk away from the lake and the amount of windows in the house makes it such an amazing scene. We will definitely be back and will definitely recommend to others.

It was a very nice stay. House layout and cleanliness was perfect. The backyard area is the place to be. We loved the view. Fishing was an easy walk to the water. There’s plenty to do in the area. All in all we loved the stay and would definitely recommend!

My family had a wonderful time. Quite neighborhood, home was really nice inside and clean, and we enjoyed walking around the community.

Sans Souci was a perfect location for our holiday getaway! The place is peaceful, has great amenities, and is such a beautiful and relaxing area. Robert was an excellent host... we had a few minor communication issues, but all was easily resolved. Would love to return!

We had a great time spent fishing, canoeing and hot tubing! It was nice to get up and have coffee on the porch watching the ducks, geese and little goat play! We would definitely stay there again! Pam was also very nice and helpful.

The Lazy River cabin was a perfect little getaway for my daughter and I. Pros: It was spotless, comfortable, quiet, peaceful, kayaking was fun, fire pit was great, everything was exactly as described. The location was perfect- secluded, but still very close to Waco and all it has to offer. Cons: No smart TV and the dish didn’t work, the ladder to get upstairs would be difficult for older people and impossible for someone with physical limitations.

Eric and Gail were perfect host. This was our third time to go. Eddie and I had a good time and it’s just what we needed. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us and your hospitality.

We absolutely LOVED Ken and Diana’s “Cottage!” It was so wonderful to sit on the patio or down by the lake and soak in the wildlife, peace and serenity of the lake and “forest.” I got up early every morning just to listen to the birds and watch the wildlife. We stayed outside until dark just watching the fish jump. Absolutely a little piece of heaven on earth ❤️ I hope we can come back every year!!

We had a lovely 3 night stay at this beautiful little cottage over memorial weekend. The cottage is small but so well laid out that actually there’s loads of space and can sleep a family of 4-6 people easily. We enjoyed being by the river, the nice big lawn (we brought a slip n slide) and its nice and quiet but still close to Gruene and New Braunfels. We had a great time. And the cottage is so beautifully decorated and attention to detail to everything. Loved it. Highly recommend it and the hosts were super helpful but we didn’t really need anything.

We had an amazing weekend here! Our 6 year old boys loved exploring, playing in the backyard, and hanging out in the river. Emmett made it feel like we were family. I would definitely recommend this home.

Wow!!! This place is amazing! Everywhere you look there’s something new to discover. So much so that we never really wanted to leave the property. Great place for larger families. Lots of things to do for every age level. It’s very clean and had everything we needed. Beautiful property, lots of deer & squirrels. We had so much fun we will definitely be back!

Kathleen is a great host. All communication were very easy and she was very friendly. Her property is beautiful and clean. Our family enjoyed their weekend stay and cannot wait to come back again.

We absolutely love this little Hideaway! It was such a nice walk to downtown Wimberley, being right on the water was great! One of our favorite parts was being able to use a paddle boat and kayaks! It was a great space for a little family, and the house was very responsive! We definitely can’t wait to go back!

Peaceful and tranquil stay! The cabin had everything we needed. Excellent instructions and recommendations from host! Favorite part - comfy beds and the garden turtles that were at the pond behind the house. We’ll be back!

The location was perfect and close to everything. The surrounding was beautiful and peaceful. We loved hearing the water and, of course, the ducks and dog were entertaining. Enjoyed some down time with frisbee and ping pong.

Can't say enough good things about this place. Tom has thought of everything anyone would need to have a great vacation. The location is perfect for access to the river. We spent most of our time at the river sitting in lawn chairs and taking a dip when we got hot. We did not use the canoe and kayaks that were available to us but will next time we go. The house is like a cabin with a screened in porch on the inside and a deck to sit outside. There are several outside seating areas to spread out if a group stays there. Lots of room for kids to play outside. Two nice bathrooms. A kitchen is stocked with spices, condiments, cutting boards, appliances and utensils, more than other Air bnbs. Would give it six stars if I could.

Lovely private cabin in a peaceful farm owned by friendly couple. Very safe and secure. Short drive from many amenities (cinema, town centre, supermarkets, etc.) A great base to explore New Braunfels and surroundings. Would highly recommend.

I doubt you will find a nicer host than Judy. I don't know if everyone gets a hug when they show up, but we did! She was there waiting when we arrived and gave us quick tour of the property. The pool is gorgeous and has plenty of natural shade with plants and trees everywhere. It was quiet and peaceful, yet you are less than 10 minutes from the grocery store and places to eat. I can't honestly think of anything to improve. Thank you Judy!
