Private Ballard Backyard Cottage with Natural Light

Escape the bustle of the city and relax in a cozy backyard sanctuary. Sample local craft beer in an Adirondack chair in the garden. Watch a widescreen TV from the bed and make coffee in the morning. This adorable cottage comes complete with queen bed, hardwood flooring, kitchenette with Farmhouse sink, kitchen island, fridge freezer, Kuerig coffee maker, toaster, slow cooker, and induction hot plate. With a 50 gallon water heater there will be enough hot water for all your needs. The high end bathroom is completed with a Kohler sink, toilet and hardware. There is also a closet to hang and store clothes and bags. The cottage is heated via high efficiency electric infra red heaters mounted on the ceiling. There is also a whole house ventilation system to keep the air fresh throughout the year (the switch to turn hi/low or on/off is inside the closet). Cable TV, wifi and a DVD player are also available. Amazon and Netflix are included on the smart TV for your use with your own passwords. Free parking is available on the street in front of the Cottage/Main house. The Cottage is a short walk via a gravel pathway to the right of the main house towards the back of the property. Guests are welcome to use the patio seating area outside the Cottage, which includes Adirondack chairs, picnic table, and a Weber grill. We welcome contact via email, text or cell at anytime before or during your stay to answer any questions you may have. During your stay, we like to leave the personal interaction guest dependent. We value your privacy and would love to give you a friendly welcome greeting if we pass. However, we are always available and more than happy to chat, just let us know. The Seattle neighborhood of Ballard has many restaurants, bars, coffee shops, a cinema, bakeries, and quirky stores. The Sunday market is a must. Golden Gardens Beach, the Ballard Locks, and the Nordic Heritage Museum are all close by. The Cottage is around a 20 min drive to Downtown Seattle. One block from the Cottage you can catch the #40 bus to Downtown Seattle, Fremont, and South Lake Union. Uber and Lyft are readily available in this neighborhood. Grant and Bev are garden lovers, whether it's pottering in the garden, BBQ'ing outside the main house or just chilling. Our kids are also outdoor enthusiasts so will be in and out the garden space around the main house. There is also a store room built at the back of the Cottage with access only from the garden that we use time to time. We respect your privacy and space. The patio area outside the Cottage is for your exclusive use.

This two story, one bedroom unit is complete with a comfortable king size bed and full size pull-out bed in the open living space. Bathroom with a soaking tub and shower. Fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher and coffee maker included). Cottage is connected to WiFi and features a smart TV with Netflix and Xfinity X1 cable. Unit is heated with electric hydronic concrete floors. Our home is located on the property and shares an outside space along with our St. Bernard, Churchill. We are always available to help our guests with anything they may need. If privacy is what you are looking for we know how to make ourselves scarce. This quiet residential area of northwest Seattle is 15 minutes' walk from the lively streets of downtown Ballard. Test the Seattle lifestyle with a bike ride to Sunset Hill Park and check out amazing views of the Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains. Only 1 block from local Metro transit, the #40 which takes you to Fremont, South Lake Union, Downtown southbound and Greenwood and Northgate northbound. 10 blocks to the express Metro bus headed downtown, the D line.
