Escape the bustle of the city and relax in a cozy backyard sanctuary. Sample local craft beer in an Adirondack chair in the garden. Watch a widescreen TV from the bed and make coffee in the morning. This adorable cottage comes complete with queen bed, hardwood flooring, kitchenette with Farmhouse sink, kitchen island, fridge freezer, Kuerig coffee maker, toaster, slow cooker, and induction hot plate. With a 50 gallon water heater there will be enough hot water for all your needs. The high end bathroom is completed with a Kohler sink, toilet and hardware. There is also a closet to hang and store clothes and bags. The cottage is heated via high efficiency electric infra red heaters mounted on the ceiling. There is also a whole house ventilation system to keep the air fresh throughout the year (the switch to turn hi/low or on/off is inside the closet). Cable TV, wifi and a DVD player are also available. Amazon and Netflix are included on the smart TV for your use with your own passwords. Free parking is available on the street in front of the Cottage/Main house. The Cottage is a short walk via a gravel pathway to the right of the main house towards the back of the property. Guests are welcome to use the patio seating area outside the Cottage, which includes Adirondack chairs, picnic table, and a Weber grill. We welcome contact via email, text or cell at anytime before or during your stay to answer any questions you may have. During your stay, we like to leave the personal interaction guest dependent. We value your privacy and would love to give you a friendly welcome greeting if we pass. However, we are always available and more than happy to chat, just let us know. The Seattle neighborhood of Ballard has many restaurants, bars, coffee shops, a cinema, bakeries, and quirky stores. The Sunday market is a must. Golden Gardens Beach, the Ballard Locks, and the Nordic Heritage Museum are all close by. The Cottage is around a 20 min drive to Downtown Seattle. One block from the Cottage you can catch the #40 bus to Downtown Seattle, Fremont, and South Lake Union. Uber and Lyft are readily available in this neighborhood. Grant and Bev are garden lovers, whether it's pottering in the garden, BBQ'ing outside the main house or just chilling. Our kids are also outdoor enthusiasts so will be in and out the garden space around the main house. There is also a store room built at the back of the Cottage with access only from the garden that we use time to time. We respect your privacy and space. The patio area outside the Cottage is for your exclusive use.

Located in Tangletown which is in the middle of both Wallingford & Green Lake makes walking to many local amenities a snap. From May through September there is a farmer's market in the park (Meridian Park) just 1 block away on Wed afternoons. Enjoy your own private apartment including: full kitchen, separate office and space to put clothes away with full length mirror, 3/4 bath with lots of overnight supplies, a sofa bed with bedding, Queen Aerobed with bedding, games, books, bedside lamps with chargers, HD computer enabled TV, which turns toward dining area, living room or bedroom and wireless internet. We live in the upper level of this home. We are happy to answer any questions you might have, but respect your privacy so will follow your lead. Tangletown is one of Seattle's very favorite neighborhoods, and this particular block is super quiet (no freeway noise) and convenient for walking places (top of the hill). It is just blocks from Green Lake, Seattle's Central Park, and walkable to so many wonderful restaurants, coffee joints and pubs. People love living here because of the easy access to downtown Seattle and very central location. This home is located on a major bus line which takes you right downtown; easy transfer to UW or Ballard. Ubers are plentiful. Walkscore is amazing, easy walk to many, many fabulous restaurants, pubs and coffee shops. People love this location in Seattle as it is so accessible and central, plus it has a very friendly vibe. No smoking and no pets are firm rules. Quiet hours M - F 10:30 pm. Sat & Sun 11:30 p,m. No large parties please. Plenty of free parking available on street. Keyless entry.

This is a private guest bungalow, fully detached from the main house. Main living area converts from hang-out room, to dining table/work surface seating for four, to bedroom. Wallbed holds a Leesa high-end foam mattress, and wall-mounted tv swivels for viewing from the bed or leather loveseat. DVD/blu-ray player with a selection of movies, access to Netflix, and dedicated wifi. The all-in-one vintage kitchenette includes sink, stovetop, oven, and refrigerator. Microwave, kettle, french press, pots, pans, & utensils. The tiled bathroom is stocked with towels and bathrobes, soap, shampoo & conditioner, hair-dryer, and make-up wipes. The bungalow is all yours, and feel free to hang out wherever you like in the shared yard. Guests staying 3 nights and longer can arrange access to our washer & dryer. Host is readily available, in person or via phone/text. We are a family of four, so the yard is a shared space with us and our two young daughters, a couple of cats, and the hubbub of family life. We are often outside when the weather is nice, working in the garden, splashing in the small pool, and generally hanging out. The property is in the Loyal Heights area of Ballard, just south of Crown Hill. Ballard is a hip, historic neighborhood in Seattle's northwest corner known as a hotspot for new restaurants and bars, urban development, and Scandinavian heritage. There is street parking directly in front of the main house. It's a short 3-block walk to the RapidRide D Line bus running frequently to/from downtown Seattle. It is 1.5 miles to the heart of Old Ballard, 1.5 miles to Golden Gardens Park (beach), 2 miles to Green Lake Park, and 2.3 miles to Woodland Park Zoo. The cottage plumbing is on a sump pump. PLEASE remember that only toilet paper and, well, you know, can go into the toilet. NO feminine hygiene products. At all. Thank you.

This two story, one bedroom unit is complete with a comfortable king size bed and full size pull-out bed in the open living space. Bathroom with a soaking tub and shower. Fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher and coffee maker included). Cottage is connected to WiFi and features a smart TV with Netflix and Xfinity X1 cable. Unit is heated with electric hydronic concrete floors. Our home is located on the property and shares an outside space along with our St. Bernard, Churchill. We are always available to help our guests with anything they may need. If privacy is what you are looking for we know how to make ourselves scarce. This quiet residential area of northwest Seattle is 15 minutes' walk from the lively streets of downtown Ballard. Test the Seattle lifestyle with a bike ride to Sunset Hill Park and check out amazing views of the Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains. Only 1 block from local Metro transit, the #40 which takes you to Fremont, South Lake Union, Downtown southbound and Greenwood and Northgate northbound. 10 blocks to the express Metro bus headed downtown, the D line.
