Good place for either rest after the ferry ride or to wait before the trip. The cabin is surrounded with Lovely green scenery and despite near a road, still ver calm. A nice big terrace and the cabin it self is small but very clean and functional!

lovely little cottage in one of my favourite places in Norway. We loved sitting on the dock with the fire watching the kids fish in the evening. Highly recommend!

Very nice place, well marked hiking trails with nice views and almost no tourists. Our children enjoyed the surroundings of the house very much. Olav was very friendly, and nothing was problem.

Beautiful cottage in the middle of nature without neighbors. Primitive, but works well! Nice sauna. Several fantastic hiking trails in the area. Nice restaurant at the hotel in Rysstad, when you miss a little luxury. Very sweet host who responds immediately and is helpful. Warmest recommendations from here.

Perfect southern idyll with its own jetty with swimming and fishing possibilities. Very cozy house with a great view. A nice walk away from the center of Arendal. Lots of nice tips from the host.

We booked the cottage with three adults and felt very comfortable with Alma and Björn. There is a nice mix of old and modern here. If you want to rest here, you're in the right place. Only with accommodation for eight people could we imagine that it will be a little too crowded.

After we discovered this dream house 2 years ago and were enthusiastic, we already knew in advance what to expect. Beautiful and cozy living is not possible on vacation - perfect and tasteful down to the last detail and all with very nice hosts. We would like to live here forever and hope to see you again. Cozy little cabin. Our young children also thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor play area on the property.

Ivar was a caring wool host. He was thoughtful and made sure we were comfortable. The cabin was amazing. Absolutely deserted. We didn't meet a human. The peace and quiet was rewarding. We enjoyed the peace and nature was unique. A priceless experience in the mountains, in the woods, and by the lake.

A lovely place to come to be able to unplug 100% from everyday life. Beautiful view. Also got a good explanation of where we could walk up on the oak map peak that can be highly recommended. Easy trip that took us a total of 1 hour. Only 10 minutes drive from the place. In addition to the view, the goats and dog Dagny were great entertainment from the window. Local cider and eggs from the hens helped put the icing on the cake for us. All in all a wonderful stay for a couple with child-free🤗

We were an adult and 3 kids aged 7-13. It was easy to find and the house is much bigger than it looks like in the pictures. Linn responded quickly and had even set out some Easter chocolate when we arrived. We enjoyed a mountain trip that was recommended and spent the Easter holidays on both the porch and inside the house

I cannot emphasize enough how relaxing and splendid our experience was! We had an amazing time staying there for our honeymoon! The host and her husband were very kind, friendly, and hospitable. Even though we came during Christmas, they went out of their way to make us feel welcome! They even set us up a Christmas tree in the cabin and provided home-made snacks. There was plenty of fire wood, so we stayed nice and warm. The beds were so soft! The back four beds could easily fit two people each, for those who are wondering. If you stay with them, I highly recommend renting the sauna paired with swimming in the fresh water lake! The eggs from the chickens are delicious! The sheep are friendly. It was the coziest, most relaxing place we have ever stayed. We are so grateful to have been able to visit! It really made our honeymoon special. We hope to one day come back during the summer to see how the area differs, but we suspect it is spectacular at any point in the year.

A very good place to stay for a weekend with a group of friends with a very pleasant environment. The provided kayaks are a very nice touch and it's very fun to try it ! 100% would come back.

Beautiful cabin in a beautiful setting that invites you to hike, fish and swim. Maria put a lot of effort and love into the place, so our stay was wonderful. Would have liked to have stayed longer.

Cozy little cabin. Listen between the bedrooms. the smallest bedroom was small. Great with enclosed marquee outside. Good opportunities for barbecue.

Fantastic place! The cabin is even more beautiful than in the pictures and has everything you need. I loved the hot shower and the comfortable bed! The location is peaceful, with great hikes like Preikestolen nearby, and a ferry that offers spectacular views of the Lysefjord from the water. Alf is super responsive, friendly, and a great host. Absolutely worth it!

Idyllic place with amazing views of the ocean. Cozy furnished with everything you need. The outdoor area has several zones and superstructures so that you can be outside even with a little messy weather. Many great hiking trails and proximity to the lake and swimming are great when the weather permits. Otherwise, it is easy to drive to Arendal or other exciting small places. Solveig welcomed us warmly and answered questions and recommendations. Would love to come back to this gem of a place.

Great cabin in a beautiful location. Absolutely recommended. Due to the short hike to the hut, it was also a little adventure for our children!
