Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Africa

The place was great. Location was perfect for us: close to some true gems food wise, beaches, wineries, etc. We loved it. We stayed 1 week, so we truly got a chance to enjoy it. Was also able to yoga in the morning with a view on the olive trees. All the little attentions made us feel welcomed.

An absolutely perfect stay in the Marrakech medina! The host is super friendly, very welcoming and above all always available. He gave us plenty of great info to visit the city, discover authentic places and make the most of our stay. Special mention for breakfast: a real treat, hearty, varied and full of local flavors, it was a real moment of happiness every morning! The accommodation is beautiful, tastefully decorated, very clean and really pleasant to live in. It immediately felt good. A real gem in the heart of the medina, I recommend it 100%!

We had an amazing break away for 8 adults and a child and the accommodation ticked all the boxes with high quality beds and bedding. The pool has a safety net over which immediately set me at ease with regards to kid safety. You really don't want for anything in the kitchen, it's fully equipped. The host was really helpful and responsive on questions. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to go back again.

This is by far the best accommodation we’ve ever stayed in. Great location and excellent facilities. You can enjoy an amazing view of the ocean and stars at night from the large balcony. A big bonus was seeing a pod of dolphins right below the balcony. In fact, the accommodation turned out to be the highlight of our entire trip from Japan.

Guthrie's house was amazing - amazing setting in Cederberg and very tastefully furnished. It was our privilege to stay at their family farmhouse. Slightly out of the beaten way but broadly speaking a great place for a getaway.

Amazing host who is always available for a nice conversation and knows a lot about the island so can give good recommendations. The restaurants is really nice aswel, we loved all of our meals. Besides that the location is just breathtaking. One of the most beautiful and peaceful places we ever stayed.

It was a dream like secluded modern home among the trees, with a beautiful pool on the deck area but the best space was the outside braai area covered with a sitting area that could fit more then 10 people floating amongst the trees.We wished we could have spent more time there. Patrick’s home will forever be part of my family’s perfect memories.

What a gem of a place! The riad was everything and more! Highly recommend eating in at least one night! The meal prepared was delicious and allowed us more time to relax in the riad! Such a sanctuary of a place!

Thank you to Candy Ann and Jason for a wonderful stay. We appreciated the beautiful clean apartment with absolutely everything we needed , very comfortable bed and pouffes and couches to enjoy the few. What a wonderful experience to sit in bed and watch the sea at sunrise hear the waves crashing at night. The Apartment is pet friendly completely fenced and private. Walking distance to a variety of coffee shops and restaurants for yummy take aways and the local beach is beautiful clean and a lovely walk with pets. A quick and beautiful drive to Kalkbay and Houtbay for the best dim sums at Yesca's Teahouse and amazing churros at Olympia Café was an added bonus. Jason was such a lovely considerate host and gave us a wonderful experience of Kommetjie and we are already planning when we can go back .

The stay exceeded all expectations! Everything was in order to the last detail, the location was perfect, the security was super friendly and helpful and Omar always responds very quickly and kindly. We will definitely be back, we felt completely at home.

What a beautiful lady! What a beautiful place! Stunning finished ( may not be to everyone’s pallet but it was perfect for me!) and just the quiet was loud at first but only because I am from JHB and all I know is noise… but she was so kind to me and totally understood and helped me settle beautifully in the silence.✨✨✨ Love love love this place! I’ll try come through in summer when the weather is more accommodating for outdoor activities but to be honest all I wanted was to be in peace and quiet and I got exactly that!❤️❤️ Thank you Yvonne💐 Really appreciate your hospitality ❤️✨

Eisa's place was as described - the view of the Pyramids from the balcony (and the rooftop terrace) are amazing and it's a fairly quick and easy walk to the Sphinx Gate of the Giza Necropolis. The apartment was well air-conditioned and Eisa provided a lot of bottled water in the fridge which was much needed. Eisa is also extremely responsive and provided great instructions for finding the place. I wish I could have stayed for longer!

Arien is a great host! She gave us a warm welcome and told us about what to look out for in the surrounding areas. If you want a quiet place, which is surrounded by great nature and a place to recharge - look no further.

I had a fantastic stay at Nuria’s penthouse. Excellent communication and impecable views from the balcony. Not to mention a spotless place with amenities as mentioned. I’d give the place a 10 stars out of 5 if I could.

Joshua is the kindest host we’ve ever met. Our preceding Airbnb apartment was uninhabitable as there was NO running water available. We asked Joshua whether we could move in one day earlier and he immediately accepted our request without hesitation. He went above and beyond to liaise with the co-hosts to prepare the apartment for our family of 5, even though my booking was for a family of 3. He didn’t even want to accept my offer of compensation for the extra night! Joshua and Seraj welcomed us personally to the apartment despite our last minute imposition on them. Joshua was very emphatic to our situation and accommodated us out of the kindness of his heart. We enjoyed our stay at Cape Town thanks to Joshua and the team. Much appreciated!

Staying here was lovely. The view of the city is gorgeous and the apartment itself is stunningly decorated to give an at home feel. Which it does so easily. The plants in and around the apartment give it such a nice feel too. Overall it was lovely to stay here. walking distance from everything you could need too. Mary and Gunther are people with rare souls and kindness. We truly hope to come back one day because this place is a real haven of peace and happiness. A perfect stay! The apartment is luxurious, spacious, clean and very conveniently located. Everything was as advertised, or even better.
