Cottage vacation rentals in Africa

A beautifully peaceful spot to stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our walks on the farm, and stargazing from the hot tub. The accommodation was clean and cozy. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the bathroom was neat with a large shower.

This is a lovely cottage with a peaceful atmosphere and fantastic mountain views. There were a couple of snags during our stay, but the hosts were quick to respond to any needs

Elena’s place was well provisioned and a home away from home. The outside patio was spectacular with lounges, chairs, tables, hot tub, and even a ping pong table! The one challenge was the windy roads getting there. Extraordinary scenery, but keep your eye on the road! Great home base for rock climbing at Fataga and Sorrueda.

We absolutely loved our stay here! Absolutely beautiful location and it was quiet and peaceful. It was a great place to come relax mid-day between adventures, and we loved using the jacuzzi at the end of the day after hiking and exploring Madeira! Gomes also gave great recommendations and we really enjoyed some of his restaurant recommendations and a local poncha bar. If we ever come back we would definitely stay here again!

This is a fantastic place to stay. The house is immaculate.! In a beautiful setting. Very quiet and peaceful. The jacuzzi is a great added bonus!! Very highly recommended. Absolutely would go back again.!!!!! Gabriella is right there replying to any needs straight away.

The place is located in a wonderful area in Ein Kerem and allows an excellent view of the forest The restaurants nearby are very tasty and pleasant The hosting was very magical from the entrance to the candles by the Jacuzzi Me and my daughter remembered we got married that day and I asked Ange to come early from the check-in time and she agreed without any problem Had a lovely and cozy stay Highly recommended for nature lovers and a pleasant and pastoral vacation!

Very quiet and remote stone house. It’s a plot with three houses but it is still very private. Lovely view of the mountains and scenery from the back porch and from the jacuzzi. You will need use taxis or have your own transport to get there - there are no public transport options. It’s a lovely place for a couple to get away from it all and relax. Stock up on some shopping on your way there. Olimpos beach and the ruins are ten minutes away by taxi.

Everything was exactly as described and in the photos. Requests were responded to immediately. The place was very clean. The bed could be a little higher quality (if I turned around the whole bed wobbled and my wife was awake). Otherwise everything was great.

The place was really clean and spacious, and with beautiful views. Dimitra was a very responsive and friendly host. Planning to come back next year!

Amazing view, worth a visit

I have been to many hotels and appartments all over the world: This one is the winner in the category "Unusual and spectacular"! The view is unbeatable and the place has a very relaxed atmosphere. Keep in mind, two of the beds are upstairs with a very steep ladder, we decided to not use them and sleep downstairs in the main living room. Also bring some earplugs, the sea can be very noisy, the appartment is just a stone-throw away. All in all: 5*****

Such a great stay, beautiful location and accommodation was top tier. We will definitely stay again!

We had a fantastic two nights stay at Vivi's who is a ever so positive and proactive host together with her lovely husband. She so much took care of our needs and "fed us like her children" :) The apartment is quietly situated and is a gem to all lovers of cats and dogs.

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful Airbnb. The surrounding views were gorgeous. The indoor fireplace was an amazing addition, and kept us cozy. We had a close encounter with one of the infamous baboons, so just remember to always keep the doors and windows closed.

Montse was very kind and welcoming. He gave us excellent advice on places to visit, suggesting above all less touristy places. In a week, we leisurely explored a good part of the island. The house, essential but well-equipped, is in a quiet location 1 km from Tinajo, a town with all the services. Thanks to its location, it is a good base for exploring the island. 20/40 minutes by car from the main attractions. We did not enjoy the courtyard because the weather was not sunny during our stay, but on the other hand we practiced yoga in the yurt with the guidance of Montse who is a very good teacher, even for beginners. Very pleasant stay, highly recommended.

We loved our stay here in Los Carbonaras. The house was beautiful, functional, and had everything we needed. The only note for other people is to know the walls in the bedrooms don't go all the way up so you can hear each others (watch out for snores!). But it absolutely did not detract from the experience. We had a lot of fun cooking in the kitchen and enjoying the ourside terrace. The views from the place are stunning and it is a great location to explore the area by foot. The property is part of a small farm and Yanira's mother was an attentive neighbor who let us have some of their fresh grown spinach. They also left us some fresh eggs and fruit in the house. We really enjoyed the walks between the villages, which we mostly did on the road since there were so few cars. Nature was right on the doorstep, with plenty of birds, butterflies and plants to satisfy us nature nerds. We would absolutely come back in a heartbeat.

We had a wonderful stay at Frankie’s cottage—such a peaceful and special place surrounded by nature. The garden is beautiful and well cared for, and the house has everything you need for a relaxing break. On our drive in at night, we were lucky enough to spot bat-eared foxes, which was such a magical surprise! We also had some car trouble, and Frankie recommended a reliable mechanic. Thanks to her help, we were able to get everything sorted and make it back to Nairobi without a problem. Frankie is a fabulous host—warm, thoughtful, and always ready to help. We’d love to come back!

Unbelievable place, in beautiful surroundings . It’s true the road to it can be difficult at first but is certainly worth it and no problem when you get used to driving the roads of Tenerife mountains

it was a cozy, modern and harmoniously furnished sweet home surrounded by nature.

Our weekend stay at Ilse was everything we had hoped for and perhaps more. The home has everything you need and is full of rustic charm and authenticity. The setting is just so utterly beautiful and peaceful. We loved sitting round the fire outside at night marvelling at the sky.. just out of this world. Indoors is equally inviting and comfortable. We also enjoyed fabulous walks where we saw plenty of wildlife though we saw quite a lot just relaxing on the stoep too.. I am sure we will be back again soon to explore more! Thank you Ilse.

We enjoyed family time, had a good night sleep and made a new friend, Rockey! Will definitely mark this place as a yearly family retreat.

We loved our stay at Hanepoot cottage. Rina provides everything you need from extra blankets to firewood to tea and coffee, milk and water. Beds were comfy and the shower great. We loved the location, such great views of the mountains. We had a little trouble with the WiFi which Rina tried her best to resolve, but I would suggest making sure you have mobile data just in case you need it. Overall a fantastic stay and highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house. There is so much quiteness, sun and space to rest. Wonderful.

A beautiful, cozy and unique home located above the clouds 🌺 Victoria is a lovely person and host. We enjoyed cooking outside and laying by the pool — the views are so special. It’s very worth the drive up the mountain to get to. Thank you so much Victoria. We would love to return!
