Waterfront vacation rentals in West Somerset District

Got lost a few times trying to locate. Could do with a bigger sign from the road but the area and neighbourhood were serene and beautiful. Only drawback was climbing the hill home after visiting the front. People with walking difficulties would struggle but would recommend

....you can totally chill at suki's place...just watch the world go by, tides come in & go out...also nice beer at hand if you do need to walk 50yds..

A very nice flat with fantastic seaviews. Has everything that you need and the communication with the host was always exemplary.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment was spotlessly clean upon arrival, bright and comfortable. Quiet at night. Nice views from the living area over the harbor and looking over the town from the large bedroom. As Suzanne had noted in the listing, there is no assigned parking space which could be an issue. We had to pay to park the day of arrival. It’s free after 6pm until 8am. One item we’d suggest adding would be a clothes hanger for drying as the machine didn’t seem to actually dry anything. We’d highly recommend Seagulls restaurant (book in advance). Unassuming place but food was excellent. We also liked Platform for a Sunday roast and Rise for breakfast. The George was decent. If we’re back in West Bay, we’d definitely stay again.

A great place to stay in a fantastic location, right by the sea. Dee's flat is comfortable and has everything needed, it's right on the SW Coast Path and central to Ilfracombe shops but very quiet. We parked at Larkstone Lane car park and bought a permit online although we could have parked nearer. The bus links east and west along the coast were great and very handy for walks. Dee was really helpful, especially as we were getting the boat from Lundy so didn't know what time we'd arrive - thanks for a lovely stay!

We spent two wonderful nights at this stunning location, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit! The views are amazing and as a bonus, we spotted a couple of seals swimming in the sea most days, which was the perfect way to wrap up our weekend. The apartment was not only clean and tidy but also stylish and easily accessible. We can't wait to return in the new year!

What I can find in the room is a beautiful bay view from the room, walkable to local shops and restaurants, plenty of parking spaces, good kitchen enough for simple cooking. This room is good for couple to stay.

Perfect spot for me travelling solo for a quick stay. Very easy to find, everything I needed, close enough to centre of town to meet friends, Rhys was great and very responsive.

This was my third stay at Amy’s and won’t be the last. The home is outstanding and the back beach on your doorstep, the town is less than a few minutes away and all you need there. Lots of pubs and tea shops and I highly recommend a visit to Laura Wall Art for lovely gifts. Be back soon thank you Amy

Arthur and Jenie were really friendly, helpful hosts and, oh my, what a beautiful place to stay! The cottage is delightfully quirky with so many interesting touches - the hosts clearly have great taste and you can just tell they've really thought about the details. Loved everything about it, thank you so much!

Had a great time staying here with all the family, the house is so close to the beach it was perfect for us! Was such an easy and chill stay with a surprise hamper full of goodies when we arrived. Would love to stay here again and Tristan was super helpful with recommendations and extra info!

We had six lovely days in Melanie's cottage, the house was spotless and comfortable and she left us all the instructions we needed. The peaceful river is at the bottom of the road, there are lovely walks and lots of good restaurants and cafes to choose from. The station is just a 15 minute walk away so it's very easy to get to other places if you don't have a car.

Great stay that gives you so much more than you would get for the same price as a Travelodge. Small but well laid out and ample room for 2 + infant and a dog. We particularly enjoyed the location.

What can we say, from booking our stay, to leaving after an amazing week, we truly felt at home. Kam and Bens home is beautiful throughout, there wasn’t one thing that we thought we needed or wanted that wasn’t provided for. Kam met us on arrival, earlier than we expected, and showed us around her wonderful home, all instructions in a helpful guide in the kitchen, even tide times, for trips. Great advice for our trip to Lundy, she even sent us up to date weather forecast . Kam provided us with mobile numbers if we were stuck for anything, and ensured it was ok for Ben to check the hot-tub, when we were out. Lovely touches, such as robes for getting out of the tub, were much appreciated. Superb hosts, will definitely visit again, our daughter and her partner joined us for a few days and loved every minute, lovely walk to the beach, only 10mins away, and the most amazing sunsets from the lounge and bedroom . Fabulous few days staying at The Annexe. Everything you need for a relaxing stay is there for you. Clean and comfortable with a pretty garden to sit in. Beautiful place with lovely views. Debbie and Derek are wonderful hosts, always on hand for advice on places to visit and to eat. Thoroughly enjoyed chatting to them. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Great place to stay, 2nd time for us, great views and 5 mins walk to centre and beach, apartment is lovely, everything you need and very clean and comfortable, we have dogs so it’s great there is a porch to clean them off and also a bit of outside space for them in the morning, will definitely book here again.

Mark the host very helpful and Sue friendly and full of local info. Got to say after using AB&B for a few years this is one of the most attractive and comfortable we have stayed at. We spent a few days cycling and relaxing, local bus service conveniently available adjacent to the apartment. Local pubs a bit of a walk but food and drinks available at both. Look forward to staying again.

Beautiful apartment with stunning views. brand new bathroom with walk in shower and lovely Neal's Yard products which smell amazing. Welcome pack of food goodies including milk, butter, croissants cheese, jam, marmalade and a bowl full of fresh fruit. Couldn't have asked more from our hosts Lynne and Neal. We had an amazing long weekend break here. Pita communicated really well and her apartment was a home from home. Everything was here, from extra kitchen items ilke foil etc to shower gel and soap in the bathroom. The apartment was spotlessly clean and smelt fresh, it was the small things that made a big difference - like having fresh milk in the fridge and tea and coffee to make a cuppa as soon as we arrived and the welcome pack was wonderful, wine and nibbles went down a treat in the evening! The location is one of the best we have stayed in - ideal if you like swimming, surfing or paddleboarding. Having the lifeguards on the beach from 10am-6pm everyday gave reassurance too. Large sliding doors stayed open until well after 11pm so nice to listen to the waves! Thank you Pita for everything, it was lovely to meet you and we hope to be back next year.

An excellent accommodation, right next to ASDA supermarket which was convenient. Comfortable bed and sofa and excellent view of the river/harbour bit from the livingroom. Good Internet connection and a parking space. A few steps but not many, someone with mobility issues might struggle. Easy to find with a sat nav. 15-20 mins walk to the beach. Vanessa kindly allowed me to leave my car at bit longer while I run the Barry Island 10K.

we really enjoyed our stay at Jonathan's place. Really clean and comfortable, in a fairly quiet location but very close to lots of amenities. Nice restaurants on our doorstep, the city centre a short walk away (5-10 minutes) and the beach a 5 minute walk away. Jonathan was a great host, providing information about the area and very friendly and responsive. We'd highly recommend a stay here. We were a family of four - two adults, and two young kids (6 & 9).
