Vacation rentals with a fireplace in West Lothian

Very thoughtful and welcoming hosts. The spaces were all kept clean and tidy, the bed is comfortable and cozy and we enjoyed hanging out in the backyard/garden looking out to some pretty scenic views. Conveniently close to ScotRail train station and bus stops that allowed us ease to explore more of Scotland We would recommend to any friends and family visiting the area to stay here.

Lift or stay here, I came with two teenagers, we went to visit the Kelpies, Falkirk wheel, we jumped on the train. I went to Glasgow and Edinburgh, we drove to the Forth bridge and the Queensferry Crossing- it was a perfect location! The train station was Next Door. We loved our accommodation - I cooked nights, and we had everything that we needed. There was a fabulous welcome hamper which included milk bread and eggs, thank you so much. We extended our stay while we were there, and we would definitely go back and stay again. Thank you so much for a fabulous stay x

What a surprise. Stopped on my motorbike trip, when contacted it turned out he is a biker, friendliest guy to deal with. Offered to drop me off to the city centre and collected after my pub tour at agreed time. Place very cosy, with unique decor and, modern toilet, good shower, massive sleeping antresol, place to chill outside. Safe, quiet, good access to main roads. Breakfast was delicious, mix of traditional English/Scottish and Continental, just like in top hotel. Sometimes you find a little gem where you wouldn't expect. I will be back for sure. Our group of friends from Northeastern US used Dawn's place as home base for exploring Edinburgh, Falkirk and Stirling for a couple of days. The space was convenient to the rail line, right next door to excellent dining at the Bridge Inn, and located in a peaceful setting at the edge of the village. Our hosts were very responsive and provided helpful touring suggestions. The space was very comfortable, clean and so well appointed. We wished we had more time in our travel plans to stay longer!!

Ashleigh’s house was perfect for our group. We were two families with 5 kids. The house is set up wonderfully for children. And the adults had plenty of our own space to visit in peace. The walk to and from the train station is very manageable down a little canal path, and there’s a playground on the way. Beds are comfortable and the house is full of amenities. Plus, Ashleigh is a great host and goes the extra mile with her welcome gifts and kindness.

Incredible location. Easy walking distance to everything. Great neighborhood feel. Apt was exactly as pictured/described. The tall ceilings & huge corner unit windows made for such a bright and cheery setting. We felt right at home. Trudi was extremely prompt in her responses and so helpful with any and all questions we had. Would absolutely stay here again, and can recommend this property without hesitation. And Edinburgh was one of a kind!! Enjoy!

Dawn’s flat was perfect for our four night stay! Really well situated, with lots of shops and cafes in walking distance. The flat is well equipped with everything you need and was immaculate on arrival.

I had a fantastic experience staying at this Airbnb. The property was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The host was incredibly responsive and friendly, offering helpful local tips and ensuring a smooth check-in process. The location was perfect— 5 mins walk close to Asda, 45 mins drive to Edinburgh and 1 hour drive to Glasgow, but still quiet enough for a peaceful night's sleep. The bed was super comfy, and I appreciated the little touches like fresh towel and toiletries However, the only comment is the neighbor who live downstairs who greeted us unpleasantly and made us uneasy during our stay as he complaints of footsteps noise-ofcourse you need to walk upstairs and we have kids who are just being kids.

We stayed at Dunc & Dee’s place for 4 nights. The location is just perfect. All high street shops are literally around the corner and l all important sights, like palace, cathedral etc. are in walking distance. Perfect spot to explore the city’s famous places. And for all foodies: plenty of great restaurants around - the Noto leas than 1 min away from the flat. I can highly recommend it!

We had an incredibly beautiful and relaxing time at Karen's place in the very idyllic place Burntisland. Actually, we wanted to stay directly in Edinburgh, which we couldn't afford. When we arrived in Burntisland, we were extremely positively surprised and quickly fell in love with the small place. In the end, we even found it better there than in Edinburgh. Not only is the city very convenient to reach by train within 40 minutes, the trains also run very regularly. The place itself is small but nice. All necessary shops, smaller food stalls, cafes or restaurants are available. However, we enjoyed the varied nature the most. You are right by the sea, behind you has the forest, a beautiful hillside, whose views are definitely worth climbing. The Fife Coastal Path runs through several such small places along the coast and the section around Burntisland is simply fantastic. Highly recommended!

We stayed the last four nights of our stay in Scotland at Lorne and Frank’s place and it was a great way to finish off our trip. Their home was absolutely gorgeous and they were great hosts. The one thing that my wife and I commented on over and over again was how comfy the bed was. We loved our stay in Stockbridge which is such a lovely and vibrant neighbourhood and this unit was such a great home base for all our adventurers. There are lots of pubs, restaurants and shopping nearby and city centre is very walkable from this location. There are also lots of bus stops you can walk to quickly to get you to just about anywhere you want to go.

we have just left Howford house after a lovely 3 night weekend stay to celebrate my husbands 40th. we were a family of 14 adults, 2 children and a newborn baby and we had the most peaceful comfortable stay. the house is fantastic, it has everything you need and the location although super private and peaceful, it was near restaurants, the coop supermarket, Traquair House and land which we got discounted because we were house guests, and lots of walks and hikes. the surrounding acres were stunning with the frost and autumn leaves. we all loved our stay, the kids (and the adults) didn't want to leave. special thanks to Elaine the housekeeper who was brilliant with her communication and help. we will recommend and be back in the future.

The hosts were incredibly helpful and responsive, making everything seamless from start to finish. The location is perfect – nestled in a peaceful area but just a quick hop onto the motorway, giving you easy access to both Glasgow and Edinburgh. We had a wonderful stay at Suzanna’s peaceful Airbnb in Edinburgh. The location was quiet and ideal for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The home was exceptionally clean and well-kept, and Suzanna was an outstanding host—very responsive and easy to communicate with. I truly appreciated her hospitality and attention to detail. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Edinburgh and would love to stay here again!
