Pet-friendly vacation rentals in West Lothian

This the second we have used these guys and both times the house has been great value for money. This is a spacious place in a quiet housing estate in Livingston. Everything is clean and ideal for the short family breaks which is both times we have used them. The hosts are very responsive if you contact them they give when we had a light switch that was playing up. They had someone out the next day to replace it.

Audrey was a gracious host, very kind, had stocked the kitchen and bathroom with all the essentials. Gave us clear instructions and had a functional home full of amenities which was appreciated by me and my parents. Livingston North is well connected to Edinburgh Waverley and other stations in the Lothians, we could easily do a few day trips in and around. All in all a great stay for us, I highly recommend! P.S. A tip for anyone travelling this way in a group of 3, ask for a group save at the Edinburgh Waverley station (we found out too late, could have saved a few bucks!)

Lovely property and grounds! The only issue we had was that every taxi driver struggled to find the property. The postcode directs them to the property next to The Doocot and there is no sign to highlight the name of the property.

Our stay at Mary's was everything we hoped for and more! Such a lovely home in a bucolic village along the Firth of Forth - we loved it! Close to the train to Edinburgh, Glasgown and Troon; close to motorways heading to points north, and a quiet town for breakfast by the water. It provided us with a great base for seeing Scotland and it felt like coming home every day. Mary was so easy to connect with - unfortunately we left as she was coming home so that is my only regret! I would absolutely reach out to Mary again when we come back! Thank you Mary, for sharing your home with us. It truly made our stay in Scotland a memorable one. Mike & Annie and family

Beautiful place, quiet, i thought the parking would be an issue but there was plenty for our work vans.

The house is a home from home and well located for exploring the countryside and Edinburgh & Glasgow. Carol was super helpful.

A group of 8 family and friends stayed here for a couple of nights for a concert at Murray Field,excellent location for both concert and socialising,shops close too,Audrey was so helpful with checking in and any questions we had,would definitely stay here again.

Had a lovely stay at the cabin. Was as described, lovely location close to Edinburgh on the train. Great for people that like the outdoors, however cabin still felt luxurious and had all the necessary amenities. Overall great time x

Caroline is a very friendly and top notch host. Any question I had, she always replied within a few hours and she endeavoured to ensure that we had all that we needed prior to the trip, such as wood for the fire pit and knowing where local shops were. This trip was my first visit to Scotland and what an amazing first experience we had! The interior was spotless and it had everything a hut would need. It was very cosy and just a slice of private paradise which we looked forward to coming back to after running the Edinburgh marathon and exploring the city. I would have liked to explore the beautiful reservoir more but my legs didn’t allow for it. The surroundings were breathtaking despite the weather. If it wasn’t raining, I could have sat outside for hours! We definitely would come back here! Thank you Caroline for letting us stay on your beautiful land.

Lovely 3nights relaxing stay here, beautiful area, big enclosed garden- which my children adored. Comfortable cottage with sublime views - thank you Laura. We had a wonderful time.

This lovely hut was the perfect place for me and my partner. It’s peaceful and quiet even in the wind and rain, and felt very cosy. The location is perfect, just a short train from Edinburgh with free parking at the station, but far enough away that you can really enjoy the calm of the countryside. The inside is beautiful and well looked after with everything you need for a couple of nights away. We will be back!

Had a lovely stay in the quiet and scenic environment, the pubs recommended in the welcome book were a nice touch as we didn’t know where to try once we arrived, we tried the kinleith inn and we were pleasantly surprised. It was a lovely quiet retreat to escape the liveliness of the main city which is what we were looking for. The cabin was beautiful, the bed was so comfy, the bathroom was clean but watch the door as people over 5’2 will need to take notice of the ‘mind your head’ signs to avoid a headache. The tea and coffee, biscuits and orange juice hamper was a nice surprise. We would definitely come back and stay again. 5*stay would definitely recommend.

The best we ever visited! During the last 8 years we travel Europe with our dog and had a lot of houses between Italy and Norway, but this is No.1. (OK together with that beautiful place in Norway 😉). Even our too early appearance caused no problems (one day!). The rooms are much better than they look at the photos. We relaxed in a way we didn’t have before. Art and leisure in perfect constellation! You have to get the Marmelade from the shop, it’s great! Whenever we are in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 again, we will return. And for our German fellow countryman:“ Super gemütlich und wirklich stylisch mit Kunst!“ By the way, it’s located in a art park, what we didn’t realized before! Fantastic house for a group or family stay. Large spaces to socialise - the games room with pool table etc is a massive bonus! Location is relatively remote but this just makes it a really peaceful stay with great views of the countryside. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
