Lichtenberg is a small, quiet mountain village between fields, woods and orchards. It is located in the heart of the Val Venosta valley, between Oetztal and Ortler Alps, above the road that leads from times about Glurns to Prato allo Stelvio, in the Stelvio National Park, with the possibility of skiing in winter and in summer. Of course you can also participate in a variety of other recreational activities. You can go swimming, hiking, climbing, kite surfing, fishing, paragliding, mountain climbing, cycling, exercise a variety of winter sports, or enjoy the best time in your own apartment. The Alpina house was acquired by Nelly Hellrigl-Greiner in 1935. Initially, it was run as a guesthouse, butcher shop and a small farm. After a few years, the agriculture and butcher's shop were abandoned. By converting and increasing the barn, more rooms were gained. "MELETO" room with a double bed and a bathroom. In summer, this room is a little warmer than the others, and despite the cooling system, it is not possible to get a temperature below 26 degrees. For those who are particularly sensitive to heat or are used to sleeping with the air conditioning on, I recommend the much cooler Vigneto room.
