What a fabulous place! You can feel the amount of love that’s been put into creating a beautiful, intentional, and comfortable space. The property itself is great, the hosts are fantastic, and I hope I can come back again and see how they continue making it even better!

A very cute little place which is spic and span and well-maintained. The lobby and cute little hangout area was so vintage and cottage core. The view of the mountains was so picturesque. Our host was very friendly and kind. She gave us all local recommendations from restaurant to activities. If I come back to Abtenau I’ll be staying here again. She even accommodated our dog.

Place is good with everything needed for couple night stay.

Es war wirklich schön! Das Haus liegt etwas abgelegen in den Bergen. Ein Auto macht schon Sinn. Gerade im Winter auch wunderschön. Schönes Zimmer und insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen. Ingrid war immer schnell erreichbar. Ich hatte einen tollen Urlaub! Vielen Dank!

Moc hezké ubytování, dobrá lokalita, v centru města, docházková vzdálenost do obchodu i do restaurace.

I had such a lovely stay! The location was absolutely stunning—like something out of a postcard. The room was clean, cozy, and super cute, and the bathroom was spotless, which I really appreciated. Everything felt well taken care of, and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and beautiful getaway.

Nette Unterkunft mit täglich variierendem Frühstück und großzügigem Zimmer. Sehr sauber. Stube mit Spielecke und auch sonst viel zu entdecken für die Kleinen. Die Tiere waren ein besonderes Highlight :) Umgebung sehr schön mit Wanderwegen gleich hinter dem Haus.

Mark, the Englishman in the Salzkammergut, hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen und uns gleich Tips für die besten Restaurants in Bad Ischl gegeben. Die Lage des Hauses im Zentrum des Salzkammerguts und am Waldrand ist sehr ruhig. Das Superior Zimmer ist hübsch eingerichtet und geräumig. Wenn jemand etwas anderes als Brötchen, Wurst, Käse und selbstgemachte Marmelade (die ist lecker) zum Frühstück möchte, nimmt Mark gerne Rücksicht darauf, wenn man ihn rechtzeitig darauf hinweist. Mir machte es Freude, gemeinsam mit den anderen Gästen am einzigen Tisch zu frühstücken. Für meine Partnerin war das nicht das Richtige, sie hat Frühstück am Balkon bevorzugt. Geniessen Sie die wunderschönen 77 Seen des Salzkammerguts!

Staying at Peter’s was an incredible experience. There are several scenic locations within a short distance of his place, but the best of all was the view from the balcony. Peter cares deeply about the upkeep of his home and its authenticity, which goes a long way in making an Airbnb feel like an experience, rather than just a place to lodge. I wish I could’ve stayed longer, and I’m already thinking of returning. Thanks, Peter, for sharing your beautiful home!

Peter was a great host - friendly and gave lots of history and advice about the area through pleasant conversation. The place itself was very cozy and gave what felt like an authentic living experience. Incredible views and wonderful personality to the structure itself. Getting to the house is a bit of an uphill hike (though not long), so be wary of that in terms of luggage/ability if you're planning to walk from the station as we did.

Larry and his wife were the best choice for my visit to Hallstatt. It was by far the best place I stayed during my trip, and I totally recommend it! The atmosphere was peaceful, everything was spotless, and the location was perfect — close to everything yet still quiet. The bed was comfortable, Wi-Fi was great, and the breakfast was amazing. Also, you can actually book directly through their website, which makes it even easier. I can’t wait to come back!

Wir haben uns von Anfang an sehr wohl und zu Hause gefühlt. Michael und Norma-Maria waren sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit. Die Unterkunft ist liebevoll eingerichtet und hat unsere Vorstellungen vollumfänglich erfüllt. Wir empfehlen die Unterkunft weiter!

The place had everything we needed for a family of 5. Also breakfast was delicious!

Best. Place. Ever. I wish I could come every summer. The view from the house is even better than the pictures. You can sit for hours on the porch and watch the always changing beauty, rain or shine. The house has a deep sense of history to it and is spotlessly clean. It gives you the nostalgic feeling of summer camp. The walk into town is very nice & manageable, though on the return there is a short steep stretch that requires a push. However, you can usually find a taxi at the train station if you don’t want to tackle it. (About 10 euro) There are a couple of taxi companies you can call to schedule a pick up, but you will need to communicate in German. Peter is a wonderful host, someone you wish were your uncle. Spend some time with him to learn about the Hapsburgs or local WWII history, or just to chat about life. Bad Ischl is a charming town to visit itself, with the Kaiservilla, concerts, & restaurants, & as a convenient hub for day trips to Hallstatt, Gmunden, and other lakes.

ich hatte eine wundervolle Zeit! Sehr freundlich und man fühlt sich wie zu hause - nur besser. Bin mit einem Lächeln aufgewacht und konnte super in den Tag starten. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder und empfehle die Unterkunft meinen Freunden und Familie! Es war rundum toll und mir ging es sehr gut :)

We liked our stay at Leopoldine’s place. Everything was neat and clean and we loved our view of Hallstatt from our place of stay. We were taken care of very well as well, so no complaints. The only thing that concerned us was that it was mentioned in the Airbnb description that parking was available on the premises but in fact, the parking was about 20 min walk away from the place of stay.

Ein Traum - die Vermieter lesen alle Wünsche ab und an Herzlichkeit nicht zu übertreffen. Die Lage toll! Besser und schöner geht nicht. Ich komme bald wieder und das länger. DANKE für die wunderbare Zeit 🫶

Wir waren mit 5 Personen zur Zwischenübernachtung auf dem Weg nach Kroatien für eine Nacht hier und sehr zufrieden! Besonders das reichhaltige Frühstück kurz vor der Weiterfahrt hat uns gefallen.

Magnifique séjour passé dans le logement de Michael qui a été très accueillant et attentionné. L'auberge a énormément de charme et l'environnement est très reposant, je recommande à 100 % ce logement. Tout etait impeccable et très propre nous n'avons manqué de rien. Petit déjeuner complet et sur mesure en fonction de nos envies.

Paní domácí je velice přátelská a milá. I přes moji jazykovou bariéru, byla nesmírně snaživá a příjemná. Při checkinu vše ukázala a vysvětlila, v pokoji bylo velice příjemné teplo. Nemám co bych vytkla, možná jediné z pokoje pro jednoho není výhled na hory ani televize a je opravdu maličký (jedna maličká místnost a koupelnička), každopádně pro jednoho naprosto dostačující, popřípadě se dá využít společných prostor pro posezení. Doporučuji a děkuji.
