What a fabulous place! You can feel the amount of love that’s been put into creating a beautiful, intentional, and comfortable space. The property itself is great, the hosts are fantastic, and I hope I can come back again and see how they continue making it even better!

A very cute little place which is spic and span and well-maintained. The lobby and cute little hangout area was so vintage and cottage core. The view of the mountains was so picturesque. Our host was very friendly and kind. She gave us all local recommendations from restaurant to activities. If I come back to Abtenau I’ll be staying here again. She even accommodated our dog.

Place is good with everything needed for couple night stay.

It was really nice! The house is located a little secluded in the mountains. A car makes sense. Especially in winter, it's also beautiful. Nice room and highly recommended overall. Ingrid was always within easy reach. I had a great vacation! Thanks so much!

I had such a lovely stay! The location was absolutely stunning—like something out of a postcard. The room was clean, cozy, and super cute, and the bathroom was spotless, which I really appreciated. Everything felt well taken care of, and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and beautiful getaway.

This was our best stay in Austria. Really big house, full of animals but really clean! Very good location gives opportunity for skiing in many different places. Delicious breakfasts, best view.

Mark and Nicky were wonderful hosts. Mark welcomed us warmly and introduced us to the cozy house and the beautiful surroundings. In the morning, we enjoyed peaceful moments on the little balcony. There’s also a small waterfall about a 20-minute walk from the house — a very pleasant and easy hiking route. One of the highlights was the breakfast, which had a much wider variety than I expected. There’s nothing better than enjoying breakfast in such a stunning setting. I also want to mention their kindness: Mark kindly gave us a ride into town, and when I accidentally left my small bag behind, he went out of his way to return it to me. I’m truly grateful and will definitely recommend this place to my friends.

Staying at Peter’s was an incredible experience. There are several scenic locations within a short distance of his place, but the best of all was the view from the balcony. Peter cares deeply about the upkeep of his home and its authenticity, which goes a long way in making an Airbnb feel like an experience, rather than just a place to lodge. I wish I could’ve stayed longer, and I’m already thinking of returning. Thanks, Peter, for sharing your beautiful home!

Peter was a great host - friendly and gave lots of history and advice about the area through pleasant conversation. The place itself was very cozy and gave what felt like an authentic living experience. Incredible views and wonderful personality to the structure itself. Getting to the house is a bit of an uphill hike (though not long), so be wary of that in terms of luggage/ability if you're planning to walk from the station as we did.

Larry and his wife were the best choice for my visit to Hallstatt. It was by far the best place I stayed during my trip, and I totally recommend it! The atmosphere was peaceful, everything was spotless, and the location was perfect — close to everything yet still quiet. The bed was comfortable, Wi-Fi was great, and the breakfast was amazing. Also, you can actually book directly through their website, which makes it even easier. I can’t wait to come back!

The place had everything we needed for a family of 5. Also breakfast was delicious!

Best. Place. Ever. I wish I could come every summer. The view from the house is even better than the pictures. You can sit for hours on the porch and watch the always changing beauty, rain or shine. The house has a deep sense of history to it and is spotlessly clean. It gives you the nostalgic feeling of summer camp. The walk into town is very nice & manageable, though on the return there is a short steep stretch that requires a push. However, you can usually find a taxi at the train station if you don’t want to tackle it. (About 10 euro) There are a couple of taxi companies you can call to schedule a pick up, but you will need to communicate in German. Peter is a wonderful host, someone you wish were your uncle. Spend some time with him to learn about the Hapsburgs or local WWII history, or just to chat about life. Bad Ischl is a charming town to visit itself, with the Kaiservilla, concerts, & restaurants, & as a convenient hub for day trips to Hallstatt, Gmunden, and other lakes.

i had a wonderful time! Very friendly and you feel like home - just better. I woke up with a smile and was able to start the day great. I will definitely return and recommend the place to my friends and family! It was great all around and I went very well :)

We liked our stay at Leopoldine’s place. Everything was neat and clean and we loved our view of Hallstatt from our place of stay. We were taken care of very well as well, so no complaints. The only thing that concerned us was that it was mentioned in the Airbnb description that parking was available on the premises but in fact, the parking was about 20 min walk away from the place of stay.

A dream - the landlords anticipate all wishes and their warmth cannot be surpassed. The location is great! It can't get any better and more beautiful. I'll be back soon and longer. THANK YOU for the wonderful time 🫶

We were here with 5 people for one-night stay on our way to Croatia for one night and very satisfied! We especially liked the rich breakfast just before the drive on.

Johanna made us feel right at home and was very helpful throughout.

The landlord is very friendly and kind. Despite my language barrier, she was incredibly diligent and welcoming. At the check-in, she showed everything and explained, the room was very warm. I have nothing to complain about, maybe the only room for one is not a view of the mountains or the TV, and it is really small (one tiny room and a bathroom), in any case, absolutely sufficient for one, or you can use the common areas for sitting. I recommend and thank you.
