The castle was incredible!! We were met by the lovely Mattia, grandson of Rosa Alba, the matriarch! The setting is unbeatable, nestled among rolling hills a short drive away from Todi. The town of Todi itself is a charming, hilltop town. Beyond picturesque. The location is near to Orivieto, and lake Bolsena. We stayed in a themed room, with authentic decor. Breakfast was delicious and baked by our hosts. We relaxed in the evening for a glass of wine and the sunset across the fields was magical - Words don’t do it justice. You will have to see for yourself!

Posto incantevole con vista sulle colline umbre. Il Ns appartamento era situato all'interno del castello. L'appartamento era ampio, ben arredato e pulito. L'accoglienza ed i consigli per i ristoranti in zona sono stati preziosi. Consigliatissimo.

Karin was the best host! Not only took she care of the arrival of friends of mine who came in the middle of the night on a sunday but she also helped us to organize a vet when my dog got sick. She always reacted immediately when I texted her, gave us good recommendations about restaurants (in the area as well as in Perugia) and organized an amazing cooking class for us. We really felt like we were at home and the athmosphere at the house, the beautiful park and pool area was so relaxing. As soon as one enters this house it feels like you are in another world and you can just forget your everyday life. Thank you so much for everything Karin, we will be back!!

Excellent accueil de la part de Rikke et Lorenzo et de leurs filles. Cadre exceptionnel et logement impeccable. Visite originale du château et dégustation des vins de la propriété ainsi que la découverte de la collecte de truffes avec deux chiens et leur maître. Très bon moment. Site assez isolé permettant d’alterner des périodes de repos totals et de visite assez exceptionnelles dans un rayon de une heure de route. Grand merci à nos hôtes et au courage qu’ils déploient pour faire vivre ce château dans le domaine familial depuis plusieurs siècles.

Wow! What an incredible property. We loved our time staying at ‘the tower’. It is a beautiful setting among the olives and vines on a hilltop. The surrounding area is beautiful and it’s an easy walk to local vineyards and restaurants. Only one caveat: the WiFi is very weak and not suitable for video calls.

Unser Aufenthalt im Castello di Montegiove war herrlich! Rikke und Lorenzo haben uns super herzlich empfangen und waren jederzeit für uns da. Offene Fragen wurden super schnell beantwortet und wir haben uns sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Die Unterkunft ist auf einem Berg und abgesehen von dem Wein-Shop des Castello gibt es keine Geschäfte in der Nähe. Es wird also auf jeden Fall ein Auto benötigt, was aber auch super ist, um die Toskana zu erkunden. Der Pool ist perfekt gelegen - Die Aussicht ist ein Traum und es gibt genügend Platz und Liegen für die Gäste aller vier Wohnungen. Wir haben die Ruhe und die Zeit dort sehr genossen.

Wij hebben ontzettend genoten bij Castello di Montegiove. Rikke heeft ons goed en vriendelijk ontvangen en ons rondgeleid. Op het terrein was het heerlijk rustig. Het appartement was perfect voor twee personen. De tour door het kasteel en de wijnproeverij kregen we van Rebecca die alles leuk en enthousiast vertelde. De wijnproeverij raden wij dus ook zeker aan om te doen als je daar verblijft! Prachtig kasteel en een prachtige omgeving.
