We stayed at the wonderful Fontanaro villa in the village of Paciano, and it was truly a soul-refreshing experience. Lucia is an incredibly caring host, and Pam, who looked after our stay, was a real treasure. She not only provided excellent recommendations on places to visit but also took care of reservations, ensuring we had nothing to worry about. This was not just an ordinary stay; it was a unique experience. We had the opportunity to participate in an olive oil tasting and a cooking class—both activities left an indelible impression. The villa we stayed in was not only stunningly beautiful but also boasted an impressive wine cellar with an extraordinary collection. Overall, our stay at Fontanaro villa exceeded all expectations. It was more than just accommodation—it was an experience we will never forget.

I spent a week with friends at Patrizia's property. The property is nestled in the hills and greenery, in a comfortable enough position to visit nearby Umbria and the magnificent Aretini/Sienese villages. The stay was magnificent: the peace, tranquility and beauty of the setting made this experience unique. Ideal place for those looking for relaxation, away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Best place to stay in Gubbio

We felt completely comfortable in the house – everything was exactly as described. Antonio and his wife are extremely friendly and helpful. We were able to relax wonderfully and enjoy the vacation to the fullest. The house is highly recommended and we definitely plan to come back. There is plenty to discover in the area – day trips to Tivoli, Assisi, Perugia, Pienza and Orvieto are particularly worthwhile.

The "il Cottage" accommodation is a lovely two bedroom apartment that is right next to the fortress (which makes it even more evocative). Francesca and Aliek welcomed us with kindness and professionalism, making us feel like we are in our home. Their whole family was very nice and helpful, including dogs, cats, and donkeys who were an unexpected and very enjoyable company for us. The fortress is located in a very quiet area but at the same time close to the main tourist attractions of Umbria easily reachable by car, at most in a couple of hours. Absolutely recommended for both couples and families, or simply for people who love tranquility and beauty .

This place was everything we wanted and more. SO private (we were aline and no other guests in the big Vila next door). the view is just stunning- waking up to it every day, seeing it from the bedroom and drinking our coffee in this view was magical. arriving there is easy but the oast 5 min drive are in a bit more rocky road- fine for higher cars we arrived when it was fully dark and it was still.fine the pool is amazing we had everything we needed here and likes how it is surrounded by green and really isolated. the communication was easy thank you so.much! I wish we will come back!

We spend a wounderful week in Pogiolo in this converted farmhouse which has been renovated thoughtfully and with very good taste. We enjoyed the beautiful pool and the great view on Castelignon Fiorentiono. The hosts, who live on the property, were very nice and open. They gave us advice for great restaurants and trips in the area. We highly recommend and would come back any time.

Lovely place to stay, well situated for visiting Tuscany and Umbria. Very good local facilities in Cortona and surrounding area. The house was as described and very comfortable for us, the weather was very warm for the period we were staying but the house remained cool despite no aircon, and plenty of fans provided. The bed in main room was very comfortable. Communication was excellent, timely and helpful. The travel instructions from the Sodo roundabout to the property were very straightforward to follow, the road is a single track but there are road mirrors to help you detect other vehicles coming around the corners in the opposite direction thankfully! We very much enjoyed our stay.

We truly enjoyed our stay and loved the quiet charm of Gina’s home. Having Dadalo & his lovely mother Nonna cook us dinner was delightful & delicious! We also enjoyed their sweet family dog, Beethoven. Thank you again!

Francesco is a really good host. He speaks perfectly English and is always available. The apartment is nice - it’s like in the description. We had a good time and recommend Francesco.

This is a fantastic place to stay if you are looking for a quiet and relax vacation with breathtaking views. The house is in Cantalena region just 25 minutes away from Cortona. The house is very well maintained, clean and the host Luca is friendly and helpful.

La Casa di un tempo is a rarity, one of those places that takes you back in time just as the name implies. Perfect for those looking for accommodation surrounded by greenery, in an excellent location for excursions in nature and in the city. Perfect for a vacation with 4-legged friends. We stayed a week at the cottage and had a wonderful time. The surroundings were so beautiful. There are quite a few beautiful towns nearby, perfect for day trips, but you’ll need a car, even to go to Castiglion Fiorentino, the nearest village. Fausto and Flavia were very welcoming and checked in us several times. The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed during our stay.

Beautiful country house surrounded by greenery. Clean and equipped with every comfort. We spent three days of pure relaxation. The garden is completely fenced and safe, ideal for those staying with pets. Communication with the host was perfect and clear from the start. Super recommended property, we will definitely be back!!

A wonderful, peaceful place to spend your vacation when you want to rest and get away from the city. Beautiful surroundings, lots of outdoor sitting space, truly magical. Also a great place for daily trips to Tuscan towns. Highly recommend ☺️

We had a great time, the cottage is very nice and well maintained, with everything you need for both a short stay and longer stays. The location is extremely quiet, far from noise and traffic. However, it is easy to reach all the services you may need by car. Highly recommended for those who love animals and for those who own them, our dogs would have been very happy to stay there.

Lovely place with a magnificent outdoor terrace and stunning views. We basically lived outside. Francesca and Ludovico are warm and generous people who will make you feel right at home. We loved our time there.

This was the loveliest Airbnb stay I've ever had. I spent five days in July. For Americans who may deterred by the lack of air conditioning, I will offer that this was during an intense heatwave, but I slept very comfortably due to the cool bedrooms set back into the hillside. Grocery was convenient and the kitchen had absolutely everything I needed to use local ingredients for dinner Al fresco every night. The property included much private outdoor space, the view of orvieto and the vineyards, access to a large pool, and even a very friendly and delightful little donkey. Would give six stars if I could!
