Mansion vacation rentals in Tokyo

Exceeded high expectations of 8 adults for last 3 nights (of 11 nights total) in Japan! More than enough comfortable beds (and bedrooms), showers (3+) and toilets (5) to re-energize. Didn't even use the unique 5th floor much. The elevator makes it so easy to move around. Really enjoyed ground floor gathering room for breakfast, games and nightly desserts and conversation! Very clean inside and well maintained. Plenty of stores, food options, and transportation within walking distance. The property is sort of tucked away in/nearby to what seems a particularly colorful and diverse part of Shinjuku. Still, it was very nearly always peaceful and calm inside the property. The 2nd floor back bedroom has what seems to be a white noise device that worked well. Occasional but brief disturbances from the street out front. Less than to be expected in a big city though. When walking the greater Kabukicho at night, be aware of the more "adult oriented" streets. Host was exceptional!

Location was great! House was clean and comfortable for two families.

Charming house very close to a train station, making it easy to tour Tokyo. It's a great value for larger families. Our host was very courteous and responsive. The house included a notebook with a guide on how to use most appliances and directions to local shops and restaurants. Pros: Spacious, very clean, quiet neighborhood, close to a train station, close to shops and restaurants, accommodates larger groups. Cons: The privacy screens between rooms don't block a lot of sound. Some bedrooms have very little storage space for luggage. Notes: The dryer is a hanging rod over the hot tub (bathtub) with a fan that blows hot air over clothes. It works but takes longer than a dedicated appliance. It can be tricky to shower without splashing water on drying clothes. Wet clothes can also be hung outside to dry. The sleeping mattresses are very firm, which appears to be the standard in Japan.

This place was fantastic. Very clean. Lots of space for me and my. Three children. Nothing was too much trouble for AYUMI. I left some stuff behind and he’s posting it to Australia fantastic service.

If I have a big group, I prefer staying here than ANYWHERE else. I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious it is. Many Airbnb’s have an art for making the spaces look bigger than it is. This place is awesome! It is so convenient and has many options for eating, drinking, shopping, etc. Jerry is an excellent and attentive host and you can ask him anything and he will try and help you 😊, having an elevator in the bldg is a game changer, no lugging heavy bags up and down 2-3 flights of stairs. A toilet on every floor is so helpful and 2 baths is a luxury. The beds are comfortable and the house is clean. So easy to access. I almost am afraid to leave such a good review because I’ve had a hard time booking this place since the last time. I will always choose this place over any other as long as it’s available 👍🏻❤️

The room is very clean, the surrounding area is very bustling, if you like Korean food, staying here is simply heaven, both Jang and Kate are very nice. Tokyo is really too humid, the duvet is a little damp, if it can be handled, it is a perfect place to stay after traveling.

This is a very convenient place to stay. Shin Okubo station is very close and easy to navigate. It is one stop from Shinjuku station on the Yamamoto line, which is very convenient and saves 1000s of steps per day compared with other places I’ve stayed. There is a nice soba restaurant across the street and a My Basket for picking up fresh fruit and other things. The house is super quiet and has a lot of space. The laundry is a combo wash and dry unit, and it worked well for overnight cleaning. I would recommend this spot.

This home/apartment was perfect for our family of 13!! We were able to split up our families between the 6th & 7th floors, and the layout was great as the showers and restrooms were located in central places of the home. This was one of the most spacious airbnbs we've stayed at in Japan and our family appreciated having all the space. We traveled with our grandma and needed a wheelchair accessible home, and the elevator made it super convenient. The view from our rooms were beautiful too!! The home is located really close to a few konbinis and a 24-hour laundromat, which was a big plus. We also loved the super close walk to the train station! Diver City Mall (about 30min ride) became our go-to for shopping, eating, and having fun. Our host was amazinggg!!! There was a very detailed binder in the home that provided everything you need and more- definitely worth the read. My family cant stop talking about how we would love to stay in this home again during our next visit to Japan!!

This accommodations is able to fit many guests! Host was very friendly and provided so many amenities for our stay. Host was also responsive and we could leave our luggages early so we could explore the city:) Highly recommend!

We had a great stay at Akira’s place. We were a group of 8 people with 5 adults and 3 kids (10 and under). The house comfortably fit all of us and felt like home — Akira had everything we needed. Loved the residential neighbourhood- gave you a sense of how most people lived - and a restful reprieve after visiting the hustle and bustle of the major city areas. I would mention that if you have a large taxi/transport, it may be difficult to get right to the house as the roadways are very narrow (typical for residential areas). Two laundry places and vending machines right by the house (so convenient)! Walkable to train stations. Look forward to coming back!

It was such a beautiful home, honestly we had a very different view of it just because we live in the US our perspective of the home was different but once we arrived seeing the architecture and the way the house is built was so wonderful and smart. Everyone loved the house! We felt so comfortable especially the terrace was so peaceful. We loved being able to have two bathrooms as well as having a washer/dryer in one! We were actually so surprised and having little kids with us it was a necessity. We loved how close it was to Uniqlo and other restaurants and stores ESPECIALLY the train station it was such a lifesaver when it came to taking all our luggage’s to head to the airport. Overall we fell in love with Mari’s place and decided to stay at her place when we visit next time! Mari and her team were so responsive and helpful sending guides to places to visit. Thank you so much!

Great place to stay for our family. It is a little further away from all major attractions but that didn’t stop us. The stairs are pretty narrow to go up. If you have bigger luggage, it will be hard to get everything upstairs. We kept everything on the bottom floor and brought it up as we needed things. There is one bedroom and bathroom on the bottom floor. The second floor has the tatami room and kitchen/living room. The last 2 rooms are on the top floor. If you’re driving to the house, some of the roads to get there are narrow but this didn’t bother us. It’s definitely a great place to stay for the cost. We will come back here.

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb in Sumida, Tokyo. The location was perfect — nestled in a quiet residential neighborhood, yet within easy walking distance to local shops, restaurants, and public transportation. It was very convenient to get to popular attractions like the Tokyo Skytree and Asakusa. The apartment was clean, well-equipped, and exactly as described in the listing. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had all the essentials, and the Wi-Fi was fast and reliable — which was a big plus for planning our daily sightseeing. Our host was friendly, responsive, and provided clear instructions for check-in and how to use everything in the apartment. Overall, we highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a quiet, cozy, and convenient home base in Tokyo.

Great place, a little out of the way but very good value, lots of space, and a short train ride from Shinjuku. The place was well suited for our purposes (family of 3 adults/2 children). Lots of good restaurants near Hatagaya Station. One warning, the address was difficult for Google Maps and Uber to find, but I found a nearby business and used that instead, much easier to tell drivers where to go. Often Google Maps would try to send us to a similar address in Honcho rather than Honmachi.

Very beautiful house within walking distance to the beach. Large TV and massage chair was a nice touch. Host was responsive and met us onsite prior to check-in. Getting to the house can be a little trick as the parking is down a very narrow street. Had to use the key to unlock the gate to leave the property was kind of strange but not really a big deal. It was a good and relaxing stay.

Perfect little beach getaway if you’re looking for a space outside Tokyo. Such a quick walk to the beach and exactly as described.
