we had a superb getaway, ideal for timeout and a recharge. everything was as described and the mattress was so comfortable. is now on our favourites lists to return back to.

Amazing stay at Mark’s shepherds hut. Incredible location, super peaceful and as described. Well kitted out. We had a lovely BBQ and enjoyed some marshmallows say around the fire. The abbey nearby was worth a visit and had a swim in the river. Would definitely visit again. Thanks Mark.

Wow what a place! Amanda could not have welcomed us more, she is a super host, super friendly and the biggest, warmest smile. Such a beautiful and peaceful place to clear the mind. The shepherds hut was lovely and clean, with warm and cosy bedding. It was so much fun to just sit and look around at all the hand picked decorations, books and trinkets that all have a story and fit into the theme well. The breakfast was phenomenal and we thoroughly enjoyed eating it with no rush to leave the table. We cannot thank Amanda enough for letting us experience her little piece of heaven and we will most certainly be coming back.

Lovely and quiet location and and easy to get to everywhere on the island, kids loved the hot tub and bunk beds

The best site ever. We could enjoy unique hut with a bathtub and private space. The scenery of the hill from there was so nice. Our dog could be a good friend of sheep in the next field and excited for a wild rabbit was running through the field. Facilities are well maintained and clean, especially the wood stove inside worked well and nice. Thank you for the stay and see you again! We found a good Japanese restaurant 5 minutes drive from the site.

As a regular walker on the South Downs Way, I always look forward to staying at Pauline's Shepherd's Hut. The welcome is always friendly, the hut is always clean and tidy. Comfort is guaranteed. Highly recommended.

A truly magical peaceful place to rest amongst beautiful scenery and use as a base to explore the New Forest. Jo was a wonderful host, very responsive and helpful but left us to enjoy the stunning location and shepherds hut. The hut and outside space had everything we needed to have an incredible weekend outdoors in comfort. We hope to come back again! Emma and Frank :)

Really lovely place to stay, it felt plenty spacious enough for 3 of us. The chickens were really cute and inquisitive! The hut was beautiful and clean, and in a great location to get onto the canal path for a nice walk. The hot tub was good fun too! The hosts were great with communication and really accommodating. Would defo recommend!

We had a lovely stay at this private shepherd's hut. The setting was peaceful, with plenty of wood supplied for the stove and fire pit. The kitchen was spotless and well-equipped, making it easy to cook. Everything was clean and thoughtfully prepared—perfect for a cosy countryside escape. A special highlight was watching sheep wander past the window, which was very lovely.

This was our second time at the hut and it was as magical as we remembered. We spent our wedding night here and returned for our anniversary. The details are so thought out and you don’t want for anything.Angela is friendly and super responsive. We will be back again and can’t wait!

We loved our stay at ‘The Hurdlers Hut’. A perfect, peaceful weekend away to recharge our batteries. The scenery was beautiful and the outside bath is an unforgettable experience. Jane is a great host - responsive and friendly and the property was wonderful and clean with everything you need for a weekend visit. We will be recommending to family and friends for sure and hope to visit again in the future!

The perfect getaway! The hut was clean , had everything we needed and very well laid out - great combination of being near both the farm and things to do but in a very tranquil private setting ( other than the nosy cows 😂) who we loved and enjoyed watching- the views were amazing and although it’s off the beaten track , the instructions got us there with no problems- it is obvious the host has paid attention to detail and not skimped on cutlery , linen etc which was a pleasant surprise- we’d love to go again and would recommend highly - thanks for a fabulous stay !

The Shepherds Hut was amazing, so cozy, clean and comfortable. Trish has thought of everything. The table and benches turn in to the bed base, with space underneath to store your bags. The bed was really comfortable and we both had a great nights sleep. The shower was great, towels provided. It's in a really quiet location and we had the added pleasure of seeing a glorious peacock on our arrival ! Trish is a really great host, lots of attention to detail such as: fresh free range eggs, cans of gin and tonic, chocolate biscuits, milk and a bottle of cold water in the fridge. Plus marshmallows for melting by a fire and a jar of sweets. Games to play, a folder with details of local pubs (all dog friendly), maps for local walks and booklets of places to visit. We recommend the Red Lion at Castle Eaton, a really friendly and welcoming pub, with very tasty food. We really enjoyed our weekend, so much to do and right in the heart of the Cotswolds. We spent 3 fabulous nights in Holly’s Shepherds Hut to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The Hut is decorated very tastefully and modern and set in the most beautiful, peaceful setting. We loved lighting the fire pit each evening after a delicious meal at The Old Mill Pub which is a couple of minutes walk away. The location is perfect for visiting the nearby beaches and towns. Holly was a brilliant Host and we can’t wait to return!

The place was extremely beautiful and serene. Loved falling asleep and waking up to the bird chatter! The host was also very quick to reply.

Our stay at the Blue Hut was absolutely magnificent! From the moment we arrived, we were met with warmth and a welcoming atmosphere that made my boyfriend's birthday truly special. Jayne was incredibly accommodating and made us feel at home right from the moment we parked up. The hut itself is stunning, and all the added extras made our experience unforgettable. We enjoyed the prosecco, relaxed in the hot tub, and made good use of the BBQ/firepit. The breathtaking views and the serenity of the place were beyond belief. My boyfriend and I spent hours in the evening simply soaking in the beauty around us, and we were amazed at how quickly time seemed to fly by. We would certainly come back to the Blue Hut. Thank you, Jayne, for such an incredible stay!

A great base if you’re looking for somewhere to stay when exploring the NF. Easy to find with very clear visual instructions :-)
