Loved staying in this area of town. Very easy to get around and the apartment was very comfy and cozy when it was time to sleep! The kitchen had everything we needed to make a meal and the bathroom shower water pressure was better than my home! Would love to stay here again

10 minutes walk from the station. Don't take the bus from Kyoto Station is not far walking. Place is good

The experience at Taketo's house was wonderful! The directions to get there provided by the host were clear and effective. The house is very large for the standards I have experienced here in Japan; in addition to the living room, there are two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The style and furnishings are superb, and Taketo provides everything someone might need to feel welcomed. And here I truly felt at home. Easy travel to the center of Kyoto, and the restaurants proposed by Taketo always lived up to expectations. Nothing left to chance and nothing left unkempt; a great experience! Taketo is always available, friendly and kind. If I return to Kyoto, I will look for this house again.

Wow! We are left with no words for how great this stay was. Everything from start to finish was taken care of. Clear communications and instructions, free supplies like water, shampoo, shaving Linge etc- basically anything you could need was there. The room is pretty spacious and the bathroom and toilet are clean and big as well. Very comfortable and close to the city, we walked everywhere (except for big tourist attractions, those are a 20 mins away with subway). Amazing, thank you!!

Absolutely loved our stay here! The place was spotless, with both indoor and outdoor bathtubs that made for a truly relaxing experience. It’s incredibly cozy and well-designed, with a perfect location—just a short walk to the subway and the river. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Kyoto!

I don’t leave many reviews because most places are average but this was by far the best Airbnb my family has ever stayed at. Noriko and her son met us in person, showed us all around the apartment and how things worked and were very responsive throughout our stay. Noriko must be a professional interior designer. Everything about her apartment was perfect and quintessential Japanese design and style. There’s lots of space and can easily accommodate 6 (we only had 4). Noriko even gave us a welcome gift and a nice Japanese print we intend to frame at home If I was ever to move to Kyoto and wanted to buy and apartment I’d buy this one!

We stayed in Naoyuki's property for 4 days and loved the stay. The room with 4 futons was amazing and very traditional with Japanese decors. The proximity to the bus stop and tram/train station was extremely convenient in terms of transportation. The stay was as warm and cozy as Kyoto.

Stayed for two nights and by the end of it we wanted to stay longer! Wish we had more time to check out the local neighborhood which seemed neat. It was quiet starting from the evening which was helpful putting our 5 month old baby to sleep. Also getting to Arashiyama was very easy from the place, as well as other attractions such as Kiyomizu-dera. And the host was very helpful with everything and responded to every message very quickly. 10/10 would recommend!

location a little out of the way but the city center is within walking distance and the neighborhood is very quiet and charming. the listing was consistent with the photos . beautiful traditional house!

The quietly prepared homestay is absolutely amazing Though you won't see each other, the message contact and response were proactive and don't make you feel nonsense. The whole space is nestled. It is also very Japanese traditional accommodation atmosphere! Especially the bathroom facilities, very new and clean. Lake Biwa is not far from the back of the house, which is really beautiful, and there is also a Mini shop to buy and eat nearby. In summary, if you like a quiet and clean room, Jingru Glass is a good choice for your stay!

Fumika-san is a great host! Very understanding, calm and kind, responds quickly, went to meet and greet us at the bus stop, which was very considerate. Highly recommend the place to anyone! Clean, spacious, a traditional experience with tatami and futon❤️ all the amenities are available, we loved everything!🌸🌸🌸🌸

The Nozemi house was a really great experience! The hosts were very kind, easy going, and were responsive. The apartment itself was bigger than expected, and the walk to the JR line / Aeon Mall was shorter than expected (~12 minutes). The only recommendation would be to provide clear instructions for the washer / dryer use, and rice cooker use. Thank you!

A modern studio

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The location is superb—less than 10 meters from a lively shopping street, yet incredibly peaceful and quiet at night. It’s only a 5-minute walk to Kiyomizu-dera, and the area is surrounded by fantastic coffee and matcha cafes and eating spots. The apartment itself was spotless—super clean and well maintained. Communication with the host was excellent; they were very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, amazing value for the location and quality. Highly recommend !

This is an extraordinary place. The location is in the heart of the buzzing Gion district, and everything easily walkable. They hosts were helpful & flexible with us leaving bags before and after. The space is unbelievable and rare. It's very spacious, which was a relief after being crammed in prior hotels. Basically it is a giant and very cool room, with attached bathroom and laundry wing. Bedding comfy. The place feels funky. It has absolutely everything you could need. It is not a shared space with anyone else, it's all yours and private. We travelled with 2 toddlers and the space was perfect. Huge room to run and climb, with plastic kitchenware, toys and books. As the host mentions, it is across the hall from a rooftop bar that can be a little noisy, but also distant bars and the district is noisy and busy in general, it was okay. It was neat and fine but could use a deep clean (it would be a hard space to keep perfect), but overall wonderful. 10/10.

This place is really conveniently located with lots of restaurants, shops and groceries nearby. There are bus stops around the corner that offer access to multiple bus routes that go directly to specific sites or neighbourhoods, and Kyoto station is a short walk away. The room was nice, clean, all necessary amenities provided in the kitchen and bathroom. Overall a great place to stay.

Great value for money. Easy check-in, walk to Yamashina Station and then go to various places. The cherry blossom tree at the door is super beautiful.
