While the exterior retains the atmosphere of a historic Kyoto townhouse, the interior is a space that harmonizes Japanese tradition and modernity. When you enter the entrance, you can enjoy the seasonal nature of Kyoto's unique tsubo garden, which is like a cut-out of the scenery in the mountains. The facility is a Kyoto townhouse with elegant taste, decorated with paintings by Japanese painters and decorations by craftsmen. It can accommodate up to 9 people in a spacious 100 ㎡ space. It is spacious enough to relax with family or friends, and is the perfect place to "travel like you live in the ancient city of Kyoto". There is also a kids' space for children to enjoy, so families with children can also have a comfortable stay. The interior furnishings and decorations are also carefully selected and arranged by us. Antique stained glass, Isamu Noguchi-designed washi lamps, and a large bed room with Simmons mattresses and Muji bedding. The bedding in the tatami room is based on the feedback from previous guests, and thicker mattresses have been specially prepared. We hope you can rest more comfortably and have a pleasant stay. Every detail is designed to make guests feel the warmth and peace of home, and quietly experience the unique atmosphere of Kyoto.

Built in the early Showa era and long used as a tea ceremony classroom, the townhouse has been reborn as a private rental inn, "Kyomachiya Cottage karigane". It is a 1-minute walk to the hot springs and Daikokuji Temple, which has deep ties to tea.
