Discounts for consecutive nights range from 10% for 3 consecutive nights to 17% for 7 consecutive nights. We charge 8,800 yen per cleaning, so it is definitely a good value for stays of 3 nights or more. From February 2026, a separate accommodation tax of 1,000 yen per person per night will be charged. Only indoor dogs are accepted. Assistance dogs are free of charge. Free rental of a small desk for work and a baby crib. Request at least the day before. 3-minute walk to the nearest train station. From there, it is 3 minutes to Fushimi Inari Station, 3 minutes to To Fukudera Station, 5 minutes to Shichijo Station, 14 minutes to Sanjo, 10 minutes to Shimizu 5 Chome Station, 12 minutes to Gion Shijo Station, and 14 minutes to Sanjo. Excellent access to the Higashiyama area. It usually takes 20 minutes to 1 hour to get to those areas by bus from Kyoto Station.

Haruya Guesthouse

Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.

This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. There is a Yamato Transport office nearby, so it is possible to send luggage from the airport and pick it up at the nearby office.

We have a Canadian house, just a stone through away from the beautiful Lake Biwa. Suitable place to stay for family trip, with friends and work trip.
