After living in Sweden and New Zealand, I returned to Japan and, together with my husband, Andy, took over a cabin that was scheduled for demolition just one month later. It's a very calm space with abundant nature, no car noise or loud sounds, and a private garden. You can enjoy a very rare open fire and a BBQ outdoors.The room has a firewood stove! (Winter only) There is a gazebo in the garden, and if there is no wind, you can have a BBQ even on rainy days. There is a Fire TV Stick! A BBQ stove and charcoal (3 kg) are provided at the listing, so you can enjoy a BBQ if you bring your own ingredients. We can accommodate up to 5 people. If you drop the firewood, you can enjoy an open fire! You can see the ropeway of Hakodateyama ski resort from the room. The inn overlooks the forest in a quiet villa area. It is about 1 hour by car from downtown Kyoto, and if you come by train, it is about 20 minutes by bus or 10 minutes by taxi from Adogawa Station on the JR Kosai Line. It is popular with overseas guests, families, and groups. We also rent out a BBQ set (equipment) for a fee, so please feel free to ask. There is free parking available on the property. Parking is available for up to 3 regular-sized vehicles. For large vehicles, it may be difficult to accommodate three, so please inquire in advance. In winter, spend the day with a warm wood stove. Firewood is available free of charge, mainly sawtooth oak and beech. We will carefully explain how to use the stove at check-in. Please use it with peace of mind. 　On the south side of the villa, you can spend a quiet time with a hammock and bench in the sawtooth oak forest. Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.

The area aournd the house is once small castle town. The house is located next to the Shrine, Hiyoshi-Jinja, where the Omizo Festival is held on May 3 and 4 every year.
