This charming wee granite cottage is snuggled into the idyllic countryside in the shadow of the local landmark, Bennachie, a large hill range which dominates the landscape.

2 1/2 is situated in the quiet village of Aboyne, the gateway to the Cairngorms National Park. This self-contained house is bright and welcoming, has an open plan living area, log burning fire, garden space and free Wifi. Hill walk, wild-swim or mountain bike straight from the door. We offer a bike wash station and secure lock up for your bikes. Play golf or visit our local distilleries. Discover Royal Deeside's rich history. Idyllic Farmhouse in Stunning Deeside Location

Blackness Farmhouse is a traditional cottage still retaining many of its original features. Bathrooms and kitchen have been modernized, open fires replaced for wood burners and carpeting added to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The cottage was our home while we converted the nearby barns into our new house. and although storage was tight for a busy family of 6, we loved our time living there and always felt it would make a perfect holiday home. We hope you enjoy your stay.

The “Wee Bothy” offers a great base to explore the North East Coast, our scenic Angus Glens, and nearby Towns and Cities with places of interest all around. The Seaside/Harbour town of Arbroath is a 5 min drive away, with lots of lovely Cafes, Restaurants, Cinema and Theatre. Golfing, Fishing , Kayaking round the Cliffs and Walking, are plentiful in and around the area with Carnoustie Golf Links a 15 minute drive. Bus and Train Station in town for those who want to venture further.
