  • Positive Thinking with a Paralympic Hero
Do you wish you had more motivation? Is the fear of failure holding you back? In this intimate Online Experience, I will help you learn about the positive mindset that has helped me to have a career in professional sport spanning over four decades. I'm an athlete who throws backward, but I am always thinking forward. The most powerful muscle we have is in our head and in this interactive session, you will learn how to build a positive mindset and change your way of thinking to see adversity not as a barrier, but as an opportunity to improve and learn. We’ll start with some light meditation to clear your mind. You’ll hear my stories of resilience and perseverance in the face of adversity. And, you’ll learn how to set goals and start to achieve them with my 4-step guide. You'll also have the opportunity to quiz me, see my Paralympic medals, and watch footage of me competing! This is truly unique, and all you have to bring is an open mind. *If there isn't a date/time that works for you, please message me. **A great experience for team-building. Book a private experience for your team. Send me a message if you have any queries. ***A great experience for private groups looking to gather virtually! Whether you're connecting with family, friends, or co-workers. Conducted in English. Requires a good Internet connection. Twitter: @hailfabio IG: hailfabio1

  • Explore Hadrian's Landscape - half day
We'll meet up in the most dramatic, central, section of Hadrian's Wall and hike along and then return north of this ancient frontier of the Roman Empire for about 7 kilometres (4 miles). [A longer, full day, hike is also available - see my other Experience]. We'll explore the natural and historic landscape of Wall country, learn how to interpret the shape of the countryside and gain insight into the processes and people that shaped it. You'll acquire basic skills that will help you begin to satisfy your curiosity about the natural landscapes all around us. The countryside around you will never seem the same again. The weather can be changeable and picking good weather days well in advance can be a challenge; so days additional to the calendar are available, please contact me to arrange a date. Pick up from local accommodation and stations possible. Other things to note You don't need to be a long distance hiker, just comfortable walking around 4 miles in undulating country. No degrees in geology or history needed, just natural curiosity. Other dates possible, message me.

  • Alpaca Trekking in Scottish Countryside
Alpaca trekking here with us at Beirhope is a unique experience. On arrival we will give you some treats and opportunity to meet our herd of male and female Alpacas. There are great photo opportunities from the start and the Beirhope Team will happily take photos for you as you meet and feed the Alpacas. You will be given an introductory talk about Alpacas, their likes, dislikes and quirks. You will be matched to an Alpaca and shown how to walk with them and Health and Safety information. We then head out onto our 75 minute trek, into the Cheviot Hills. The routes are all along defined paths; the Alpacas make for great company and the wildlife and scenery along the way is simply breath taking. Along the way we chat about Alpacas, and about our guests. We like to get to know our visitors and ensure they have a fantastic time with us. We take photographs for you, point out local landmarks and have a fun and unique walk in the hills. Upon our return to the farm there's chance for more photographs of you and your Alpaca. We have on offer to buy Hot drinks and confectionary and some small Alpaca related items to remind you of your day with us here at Beirhope. Other things to note We are rurally located. Mobile phone signal is limited in places but access to a landline for urgent use is available. Roads are country lanes, Beirhope is signposted and available on satnavs/maps. This activity is not suitable for children under 13. Thank you.

  • Small Group Ghosts and Horrors Tour
Why book with me? I provide small group tours. Private tour enquiries welcome. Please send me a message with your request. I wear a face mask from start to finish. You will need to also. I have hand sanitzer available for you. These measures help maximise your safety from Coronavirus. PERFECT FOR COUPLES & FAMILIES There are educational and historical aspects of this tour. This will benefit your young ones on this family friendly experience. On your walking ghosts and horrors tour you will hear amazing things about what happened down and beneath our side streets. Plus, a sensational Royal murder! We will then explore the hidden, dark secrets of Greyfriars graveyard. We call it a kirkyard in Scotland. You will learn of the ghost of George 'Bloody' MacKenzie. The fate of thousands of Covenanters, who they were and why they were persecuted. Also, the ghost of John Cheesley of Dalry. You will not find the exact resting place of the Cheesley family on your own. I came across its exact location researching a book published in the 1880s. You will also hear about Edinburgh's very own most famous serial killers, graverobbing and what stopped it. You will not have anyone sneaking up behind you and causing you to scream! We will be doing this tour in the dark. I shall be carrying a torch. You will be perfectly safe at all times.

  • Small group Harry Potter walking tour
We'll discover the streets and secret alleyways of the Old Town area of Edinburgh, starting at Edinburgh Castle, then we'll wander down to "Diagon Alley" and find the gravestones of "Voldemort" and some other well known names in the Harry Potter series. We'll also spot "Hogwarts School" of Wizardry and find where the writer found her inspiration from. Learn about the famous and not so famous cafes where J.K. Rowling began her writing career and finished in the realms of luxury. The tour will last approximately 1 hour. However, please allow for an additional 20 minutes if tour runs over depending on group size, photo opportunities and question time. Other things to note The tour will be outdoors, whether rain or shine so come prepared to walk around for over an hour. If it is raining, I suggest to wear sturdy shoes - the graveyard can be muddy.
