Stayed for a couple of nights to explore the Dales. Lovely, cute cottage with everything you’d need. Private garden was ideal for the dog to stretch his legs and some fantastic walks literally from the doorstep. Carole was always on hand for advice and local knowledge! Would definitely come back and stay again

A lovely Lakelands cottage, perfect for our family of 4. We enjoyed using the little garden, and it was easy to walk into Coniston and into the surrounding area. Amie's Annexe , Kendal , South Lakes

DeclanRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a great weekend staying in Jackie and John’s annexe. The property was spotless and provided us with all amenities that we needed. Communication before and during our stay was quick and very helpful. We were given some great recommendations for places to visit nearby, as well as out by Windermere, which did not disappoint! The area is a short walk from the town centre, with some lovely spots to call in to on the way in. Very easy to access local busses and trains to take a trip out towards the lakes as well. We would definitely return to Kendal in the future and would love to stay here again! Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area, Jackie and John are great hosts who are incredibly accommodating and very knowledgeable about their area!

Myself, my wife, kids and dogs had a fantastic stay in high Bentham. What a great location, plenty to do which ever way you like to turn out of the cottage. We’d like to thank Lee for the great stay, which was clean and as described in the listing. Plenty of room for us all over the 3nights 4days. If we’re ever back in the area, we will be contacting Lee again that’s for sure!

Croft Farm Shepherd's Hut, Hardraw, Pennine Way

IlonaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This Shepherd’s Hut is gem on the Pennine Way. The hut is very sweet and cosy and perfect for a night or two. View from the window is over the sheep fields and we spend the evening sitting outside, watching swifts, swallow allows and house martins circling above us. The host could not have been more friendly and helpful and we felt at home straight from the start. We couldn’t recommend this place any more especially if you are hiking the Pennine Way and want somewhere special to stay.

Lynn & Reg are so friendly and make you feel so welcome at home straight away. Their little cottage is so nice, the photos don’t do it justice. Private garden for the dogs and endless places to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet. The beach is literally 2 mins walk down a track and we had it to ourselves the whole time we were there. We look forward to going back and spending more time there.

We had a great stay at Hilltop, it's a lovely cottage. I was able to have breakfast outside every day of my stay which was a real luxury for me. We did some great hikes too venturing to the Borrowdale valley with its stunning views and even went down to the beach one day. Good communication with Natasha as well, would definitely reccomend.

When we arrived we were greated by Carolyn and Brian, Brian was just about to take Ruby (the dog) for a walk so Carolyn showed us around the apartment, it's a beautiful place to stay and would highly recommend it. The bed was very comfy and the bathroom/shower room is immaculate! The scenery is stunning and we managed to see the deer and a barn owl too!! We just wish we could have stayed longer!! We would just like to say a 'Big Thank You' to you both for making our stay such a lovely and welcoming one! We hope to see you again soon! Sue and Pete 😊 xxx

Countryside Escape - Chalet Style

DanRating, 5 stars5 days ago
A beautiful and peaceful place to unwind in nature. Lots of lovely touches and a lot of thought has gone into creating a great place to stay. Binoculars for watching the rare birds, a telescope for looking at the stars and many other thoughtful things provided. Julian was lovely to deal with, very responsive, and recommended some lovely restaurants (the Staff of Life very nearby and the Old Gate in Hebden Bridge were favourites). Lots of spectacular walks nearby and places to visit. There are 3 chalets here so could work well for a group of 6-8 people if booked at once.
