We have just spent 3 nights at Herdy View Lodge and were extremely pleased with our choice. The property is in a quiet location in a lovely setting. Several restaurants are in easy distance and Penrith, Ullswater and Keswick are short drives away. The lodge itself is lovely and kitted out with everything we needed. There is also an information folder which was really useful. All in all it was perfect for our requirements and we would certainly book there again. We wish we could have stayed longer.

what a beautiful,peaceful place. Absolutely spotless and had everything we needed. Bathroom was out of this world with the bath and shower. Hosts very attentive and answered quickly. We will definitely recommend this beautiful tranquil place and will return soon. Thank you for our perfect stay.

What a special place! I wish I had booked for longer. Otters Rest is is found in a quiet, secluded and private little nook of Clitheroe. The river right underneath you is the most relaxing sound, and the place itself is just stunning. Even the small details down to the underfloor heating in the bathroom and the glass ceiling which makes you feel as though you are showering in the woods… it was perfect. Thoroughly recommend this place to anyone looking for some peace and tranquility in a stunning little sun trap ☀️

Delightful, private and tranquil lodge located at the bottom of the large private Farmhouse garden. Fabulous views and walking distance to local pubs. It is a 50 metre walk from the parking area to the Lodge. There is free Wifi in the Lodge and good mobile signal. This place is a retreat for you to truly unwind, relax & get away from it all, or use as a base for exploring the local area and the Lake District. Unfortunately it is not suitable for children or infants.

Well placed for walking or exploring the quiet Eden Valley, and the Pennines, The Lakes and The Yorkshire Dales are within 30 mins drive.

The main bedroom has a bathroom with a free standing bath and walk in shower. The second bedroom can be set up as a double or with twin beds. Dressing gowns are provided and toiletries from the Bath House are there for your convenience. For colder evenings there is a wood burning stove. This is a beautiful lodge which won’t disappoint.

What a nice place to stay, The Windy Nook Chalet was spacious, had everything we needed, a view out over the fields, outdoor space, and didnt feel like anyone was around us, cant have asked for more, brilliant.

A wooden deck extends alongside a gently flowing stream, surrounded by lush greenery. A potted plant adds a touch of nature to the space, while the structure's natural materials harmonize with the tranquil environment.

Exactly what wee were looking for in a last minute weekend away. Peaceful setting but only a few minutes from Lancaster and the motorway. On arrival everything was ready for us to drive in, drop our bags off and put our feet up. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting access to the lake district without costing a fortune and being caught up in the traffic. Will use again, if available, for our next visit.

Beautiful location, very warm welcome from Jenna. Communication was fantastic from booking to leaving with really useful local info provided - highly recommend Sunday dinner at The Derwent Arms Fantastic breakfast too with local produce - lovely stay!

Absolutely lovely lodge! It was so quiet and remote but also close to the shops/takeaways; so fantastic location. The lodge was spotlessly clean and I honestly can’t recommend it enough. Will definitely be staying again in the future!!
