Ellenor's house is located outside the small village of Ekerö, just 40 minutes (approx.) by car to Stockholm (if you want, there is a nice boat from Ekerö that goes to the city centre). The house is clean, and has everything you need for a cozy stay: a well equipped kitchen, TV, Wi-Fi, a large deck terrace, a well kept garden, where our little dog Lina loved to run free. We were two couple of friends and we really enjoyed the quiet atmosphere, the walks in the area (200m. there's the lake) and the dinners on the deck terrace. If you love Stockholm but you prefer to live in the nature not so far from the city, this is the place to stay. Ellenor is a good host and she is always available in case of need.

Our family of 3 had a wonderful week. The house is quiet, spacious, and beautiful. Lake Mälaren was just a couple of minutes walk from the door. Our 9 year-old enjoyed the trampoline in the back garden, braving a swim from the private jetty, and regularly seeing deer and horses nearby. We also enjoyed the guitar, because we could play it outside with nobody close enough to be annoyed by it! For somewhere that feels remote, it was easy to drive to Stockholm (1 hour). There’s an old steamboat that picks up from another jetty less than 10 minutes walk from the house, which took us to the pretty town of Mariefred. We also had an afternoon in a canoe on another lake, about 40 mins away, which we’d highly recommend. (Search 'kanotkungen sedan 1975'.) Jennifer was the perfect host — generous and excellent at communication. She met us on arrival, showed us around the house, and shared lots of great tips for places to visit, things to do, and where to get great cakes and food.

It was a really nice house with views of Lake Mälaren and super nicely decorated. Good kitchen with access to everything and all the beds were good. Close to swimming from jetty. Tobias was a great host who responded promptly to any questions and helped us with our special requests for the stay. Really recommend the house!

We had an amazing time at this house! The host was always very helpful and we could use their boat for fishing, the house is at an amazing lake, there was a sauna and everything was nice and clean. Parking was easy right in front of the house! If we had questions the host answered them immediately!

A very well equipped and nicely furnished house. The jacuzzi is also great. Simon was always easily accessible and helpful. We had a great time, have nothing to complain about and are very satisfied!

We had a wonderful week of family vacation here. Everyone felt very comfortable, especially the fantastic location on the water remains unforgettable with the small raft and the rowing boat. There is a very special favorite place for everyone. The houses are both very comfortably furnished, with all the amenities you need. The personal furnishings and murals always invited you to look. The only small shortcomings: Unfortunately, the bedrooms in the guest house and both bathrooms were quite small and cramped, the wifi was quite unstable. Nevertheless, we would love to come back! Thank you for everything!

We had an unforgettable time in Wendela and Peter’s magnificent house, beautifully designed with stunning architecture. Nestled in the heart of the forest, it offers a true escape from the hustle and bustle, yet it’s only 45 minutes from Stockholm. The setting is peaceful, rejuvenating… a real delight! Wendela and Peter are exceptional hosts: highly responsive, always available, and incredibly kind. They thought of everything to make our stay perfect, leaving us thoughtful treats and local specialties to discover. The house was impeccably clean, which made settling in even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for an exceptional place that combines nature, comfort, and perfect hospitality, look no further—this is the place to be! Lovely place near Stockholm and beautiful nature

Basher and Sussanne were great hosts. They were very warm and courteous. The place was neatly maintained and it was the kind of perfect get-away we wanted as friends in a quiet yet serene location.

Great base to Stockholm. Train is a 10 minute drive from the house. Pool was lovely and we used a lot. House is big enough for 6 people (we were there with 4). Supermarket was a 10 minute car ride away. Trosa is also a very nice town. Everything is available in the house.

We felt very comfortable and welcome in Sara and Robert's house. The children had a lot of fun in the garden. The highlight in the cooler summer weather was the sauna. The region has a lot to offer: Trips to Trosa and the surrounding area have made us enthusiastic about Sweden again.
