12 of us interrupted this time. Overall, it's beautiful and the surroundings are no problem We had a great time for a long time. Just one thing. All the dishes were greasy and sticky. I knew I had to wash them all, but I didn't think it was sticky. Other than that, there was no problem at all.

Really clean and had everything we needed for a few days stay, even a massage chair! Host was very responsive as well. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful 3-story Japanese-style house. It’s incredibly clean, well-maintained, and full of Kyoto charm. The layout is spacious yet cozy—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The location is excellent: just a 5-minute walk to Gojo Station on the Keihan Line, and there’s a 7-Eleven right outside the door, which made everything super convenient—from grabbing a quick snack to withdrawing cash. Shan is a superhost in every sense. She gave us a warm welcome with plenty of water, drinks, snacks, and even instant noodles! Her responses were always quick and helpful—we felt really well cared for throughout our stay. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Kyoto. Great home, great location, and a truly wonderful host. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

It was a very beautiful place! Everyone was excited. The desk was large, we played card games, and there was a convenience store just around the corner, so we had a midnight snack party! There were also a lot of kitchen towels, which was very helpful for our late-night snack party. I'd love to stay again!! Thank you!

This was great for our family of 4 trip (with two kids ages 8 and 11). The location can’t be beat, the Yasaka shrine is right around the corner and tons of amazing restaurants in walking distance. There is a grocery store just a couple of blocks away, so we got some breakfast food, snacks and drinks there. The rooms are very quiet and beds are very comfortable (heated floors were an extra bonus). The bathrooms are very nice as well. This was a very zen place with a traditional feel and modern amenities. Great find!

An absolutely perfect spot in a quieter neighborhood in Kyoto with easy access to metro and walkable to other major areas of the city. Loved the spaces and rooms having the traditional Japanese with modern twists.

Karen is a great host, she is very responsive and helpful. The home is located within walking distance of several train lines and bus lines. There are many local restaurants close by which help give you a unique Kyoto experience. The alley restaurants provide a great experience so don’t be afraid of going down them. Overall, the home was great, the living room was big enough to seat us all for itinerary planning and quick meals after long days out walking. I will definitely try to book here on my next trip to Kyoto.

We enjoyed our stay at this beautifully restored Machiya-style Airbnb perfectly situated in the heart of Kyoto! The location offered unbeatable convenience - just a short walk to public transportation, bustling markets, and an array of fantastic restaurants - as well as cultural sites. Yet, despite being so central, the atmosphere was incredibly peaceful, offering a serene retreat after a day of exploring. The accommodation itself was a harmonious blend of old and new. The traditional wooden architecture, tatami mats, sliding shoji doors, and garden views gave us an authentic taste of Kyoto’s heritage, while the modern amenities (e.g., sleek bathrooms, climate control, and a well-equipped kitchenette) ensured we had the needed comforts. Whether you're visiting Kyoto for its rich cultural sites, culinary delights, or simply to unwind, this Airbnb is a perfect home base. We would return in a heartbeat.

Our family of five had a wonderful stay at this traditional Japanese home, with stylish and modern conveniences. Clear and helpful instructions were provided for using amenities like the laundry and heated outdoor tub. The property is fairly centrally located within the downtown area, and though not a short walk it is walkable to Sanjo and Marutamachi train stations, Nishiki Market, and Ponto-Cho. There are also two Seven Elevens within a short walk which was convenient. We did also use several taxis to and from various temples, shrines and other sites. Overall, it was a great stay, and would do it again and recommend to others.

Beautiful place, cute neighborhood and great food spots nearby plus a 7-Eleven was in walking distance which was really convenient. Loved the beautiful tub that looked into a garden - kids really enjoyed using it. Slept comfortably. Having 2 bathrooms was nice. We frequented an awesome bakery in a nearby hotel lobby for breakfast.

We had a wonderful stay at this spacious house, perfect for our group of 5 adults and 1 baby. My husband and I chose the tatami-style room to sleep with our baby, and it was a cozy and special experience. The house is located near the lakeside and close to the train tracks, a bit of a distance from town, but that wasn’t an issue for us as we had rented a car. We also made good use of the kitchen and even enjoyed a late-night supper together. Everything was clean, well-equipped, and comfortable. Overall, it was a great experience, and we truly enjoyed our stay here!

Top recommendation for easy accessible by walk to the shops fast food shops Temple etc. This place is real diamond host in area a little bit too pricey but unbelievable comfortable close to amenities and lot to do in Kyoto. A property with Most advanced in stuff supply like USB cable for easy charging for devices iron easy and fast breakfast and a really spacious rooms we have rented in area.

The place is as described in a quiet neighborhood, good for walking around to appreciate the beautiful flowers in front of some houses. There are grocery stores within ~20 mins walk downhill to a main street of the area. It was very helpful to have a pick up and drop off to the subway station services by the owner.
