The market house is a historic gem and is a listed building, designated as the first hostel of Saxon Switzerland. The house frames the market square in the reflection of the market church below the historic castle ruin. The vaulted cellars date back to 1527, while the main house was built in 1734 in the Franconian half-timbered style.

Apart from windows and doors, only natural materials were used. It is heated by a stove that can also be used for cooking and baking. In addition, an electric 2-plate cooking hob is available. The house is off a road about 300 meters from a modern outdoor swimming pool in a very quiet location. In the neighborhood there are bungalows - some of them are occupied all year round. All the technical aids that a normal household has are available (washing machine,, fridge, TV, bicycles, grill, etc.) and can be used free of charge. Internet access is available for 5 euros/stay. In the house there is a fireplace for the cool days and in the garden you can barbecue or simply enjoy the great starry sky at night.
