Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Sao Vicente

The villa was beautiful - stunning location - and perfectly furnished. Lovely walk to Ponta do Sol village but the walk back is not for the faint hearted - Bolt is available :-) Whilst there were a few teething issues on arrival, Rita was super responsive and helpful in sorting any problems and our stay was great. It was a lovely stay in a stunning villa with amazing views and we would love to come back.

Absolutely stunning stay! The views were like something out of a postcard—so picturesque, we almost didn’t want to leave. The house was spotless, and every detail was thought of: towels, blankets, shampoo, even spare wood for the outdoor barbecue. There’s AC in every room (though we didn’t need it), plus a washer, dryer, and plenty of supplies like soap and dishwasher pods. The host was incredibly responsive and attentive at all hours. The garage was a bonus, especially in the rainy weather, giving us extra comfort. The area itself is very peaceful and quiet, yet only a short 7-8 minute drive to cafes, restaurants, and shops. If I ever return to Madeira, this is where I’ll stay—no question.

We really enjoyed staying with Valter and Marlene. The place was very clean and we felt very comfortable. The hosts were always immediately available and very friendly. The roof terrace was the highlight of the apartment. The place was a bit remote and there was nothing special to see. But if you want peace and quiet, it's just the thing. 😊

Carlos is a very good host. The house is beautiful with all the amenities that make you feel at home and on vacation at the same time. The location is very good to easily reach all activities in the north of the island. A quiet location overlooking the sea with very beautiful sunsets. Looking forward to the next visit to Carlos' place.

Such an amazing space! Our family highly enjoyed our stay. The home is more beautiful than the pictures. The pool was lovely and the location was great for hiking as well as trips to Funchal. We would love to come back again!

Very peaceful and private location, stunning scenery all the way around.. You can see the sea between the mountains from the front. Loved lying on the sun loungers taking in the view. Clean modern house. Well equipped. Very comfortable bed. Miguel was very helpful and friendly - he met us for check-in and showed us around the house and garden. He provided lots of recommendations for places to see, restaurants etc. He left us lots of fresh fruit, biscuits and drinks, and brought us fresh eggs and some passion fruits. We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely go back.

The accommodation of Maria Joana and Janine was amazing! We felt welcome from the start. The area is really nice and has lots to do and restaurants to go. The best thing is that we’ve seen one the best sunsets from our own balcony and that says a lot for Madeira! During our stay we have asked Janine for tips on where to go and it was like talking to a search engine. She instantly sent us links with spot on restaurants and shops. We would definitely recommend a stay here!

The place was beautiful in a very quiet location with stunning views. Everything was clean and furnished with love so that you can only feel comfortable from the first moment. It had everything you need, we also loved the many kitchen utensils and the grill, which we used every day. The terrace with whirlpool, lounge, loungers and table were the highlight. We spent a lot of time in the accommodation because we felt so comfortable. The beach Calheta is 5 minutes by car easy to reach and highly recommended. We also loved the private parking. Bruno and Maria are very accommodating and also asked how we are doing and if we need anything. The location was perfect for us, very quiet, lots of privacy and yet we can get everywhere by car. Just back from a great stay! Photos of the accommodation didnt do it justice - the view from the balcony was absolutely beautiful. All the little things had been thought of (beach towels, coffee maker with filters etc) and the welcome pack of maderia wine, fruit and biscuits was really thoughtful. Our host was excellent at communicating and great at giving suggestions. We’ll be back!

A beautiful apartment, but please be aware it is on a VERY steep hill. You can walk down to the town but even a relatively fit person would probably need to get a taxi back up. Taxi is around €7. Beautiful pool that is shared with apartment on the ground floor. Welcome pack was a nice surprise! Everything is as described in the listing. Cristina is a very responsive host. Roberto picked us up and dropped us back to the airport. Thank you! Madeira is beautiful. We will be back

This is a beautiful Airbnb and we truly enjoyed our stay — from beginning to end. The accommodation was next-level… beautiful interior and private deck on the second floor, and a shared infinity pool that overlooked the busy street below, but felt like you were in your own little paradise. Definitely recommend and will stay here again on our next trip to Madeira!

Starting from the view from the window to the Atlantic, to the tranquility we could find in the apartment - far from tourism - to the stroll, down many steps, on the promenade, we felt very comfortable in Porto Moniz. Whether coffee or snack bar and restaurant, you could eat well everywhere. Many excursion possibilities and especially hikes are easily accessible. We have found our favorite places, whether culinary or in nature. We would book our apartment again immediately.

One of the best Airbnbs we've ever stayed at! We absolutely loved our stay. This apartment is a dream – incredibly spacious, beautifully decorated with so much love and fully equipped with everything you need. The ocean view is breathtaking, and the location is wonderfully peaceful. Filip and his family live above, but you still have complete privacy with your own entrance. Filip is such a kind and helpful host – we received great tips about the area. His wife Renata surprised us with the most delicious cinnamon rolls we’ve ever tasted! The neighbor was also incredibly friendly and gifted us fresh bananas from his own garden. Renata and Filip went above and beyond to make our stay special – they even provided gifts and baby food for our little one. It’s clear that they put a lot of thought into making their guests feel welcome and comfortable. We can definitely recommend this place. If you have the chance to stay here, don’t hesitate – it’s a true gem!

The stay at Juan’s House let us to relax in great atmosphere. The apartment is well equiped even including cofee machine. There is a view at ocean from taracce. It is very clean and very well prepared for guests.

Leonardo let us check in early. Beautiful clean environment right next to the water. He provided a clear and quick video to watch for instructions. Parking is a little complicated but your car is safe in a garage which is nice. Definitely recommend.

Wonderful apartment right on the ocean. The apartment was very spacious and has everything you need. Also has easy parking just outside. An extra bonus is all the great restaurants nearby!

A lovely apartment: convenient, well-situated and pleasant views. Good location if you have a hire car; Funchal isn’t far at all, and there are many local shops and restaurants. Host-wise, unless you speak a little Portuguese, it can be slightly difficult; Jose is happy to call and speak for his mother. Very friendly and welcoming!!!

Enjoyable stay. Clean and had all that we needed. Nice balcony to sit on with good view. Comfy bed. Communicative and friendly cohost! Overall great stay, would recommend. It is ‘first come first serve’ parking however we never had an issue finding a spot at many times of the day.

The apartment was perfect for our family, a great base to explore the island. Well equipped for a family though we only used for breakfast, eating out in the many local restaurants . The bakery downstairs is fabulous , serving breakfast, lunch and snacks..

This condo was beautiful, clean, and had an amazing view. Plenty of seating, close to a grocery store and many restaurants. The infinity pool which looked over the ocean was lovely. We would definitely recommend.
