The place was great. The view from the beautiful terrace! Nuno is an extremely kind host. He responds quickly and gave us plenty of recommendations. The departure and arrival at the accommodation was made very simple and pleasant thanks to him. In addition, Ponta do sol is a very convenient place: a supermarket with gas station just down the village, great restaurants and the beach being a beautiful place to see the sunset. I can only recommend this place to stay in Madeira. It's been a real favorite!

Just amazing accommodation! Same as in the pictures! Very quiet and peaceful. Really very nice host. It is located in a small village about 30 minutes from Funchal and close to everything by car. The place is wonderful to relax. We'll be back.

This accommodation is a peaceful, secluded gem surrounded by beautiful nature. Though tucked away, it’s still close to major attractions. The view from the kitchen is stunning — perfect for enjoying your morning coffee. Marco was very communicative and responded quickly to any questions. A great spot to relax and recharge! Thank you!

Duarte was super kind and responsive. He got us parking and met us late at night when we arrived, and he gave us plenty of local recommendations. Ribiera Brava was a great place to stay, close enough to the city of Funchal and other activities but it’s its own little town with a black sand beach and walkable restaurants.

Exactly as described, - quiet neighborhood, clean place, responsive hosts. About an hour from Funchal on the north tip of the island.

We really liked the apartment and the surroundings. Many activities can be reached in a short time. Check-in and check-out went absolutely smoothly.

We had a great stay at this place! It was nice and clean, with everything well taken care of and comfortable. The view was absolutely stunning – a real highlight of our trip. It’s a perfect starting point for hikes, with beautiful trails just a short drive away. That said, you definitely need a car to get around, as the area is quite remote. If you’re looking for peace, nature, and a great base to explore from, this is a fantastic choice.

Super host - very responsive and provided excellent recommendations. Great location to explore on foot and by car. Parking no issue, and easy drive to airport. Apartment was tremendous. Balconies allowed us to have breakfast in the sun outside admiring the views. Walk into town about 15 mins down hill - not too strenuous. Lots of Ubers that were inexpensive, so easy to get about. We had x4 full days in Madeira which were full of activities. Palace Gardens and Levarda walks were excellent. Truly wonderful stay and would highly recommend.

Very helpful hostess, quiet area away from busy Funchal. Amazing views, spacious apartment, super king size bed. Useful utility area with washing machine and drying area. Good cooking facilities. Enjoyed sitting on the balconies for breakfast and evening meals. Near bus stop and supermarket. We are fit 70yr olds so steep drive and stairs didn’t bother us.

Excellent stay in Porto Moniz in this very clean and well-equipped apartment (kitchen, washing machine). The hosts are extremely kind. Excellent value for money, this is the best accommodation we've had in Madeira in this price range. A big thank you to Katty and her parents :)

We loved our stay at Marie’s place. The flat is exactly as shown in the photos. You feel right at home and have everything you could possibly ask for. The amazing terrace comes with an incredible view over the city and the ocean. The neighbourhood is quiet and super safe. Little bonus: Having to walk up the steep (typical Funchal-)hill to get to the apartment makes for the perfect excuse to indulge in an extra Pastel de Nata. ;)

Filipa was a great host and this is one of the best AirBnb’s we have stayed in. Great location, only a short walk into town and the area is surrounded by cafes, restaurants and a park just over the road. Great space with lots of attention to detail and very clean. We loved Funchal and will definitely be booking this accommodation again when we return. Thank you for such a great stay.

Absolutely Perfect Stay in Madeira! This Airbnb was hands down one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the hospitality, cleanliness, and stunning views. Stefanie came out to welcome us. The home was exactly as described—if not better. Beautifully decorated, thoughtfully stocked, and incredibly comfortable. The ocean and mountain views every morning from the balcony. It felt like a dream. The location was perfect—peaceful and quiet, but still close enough to restaurants, hikes, and shops. Stefanie was fantastic—super responsive, helpful with local recommendations, and made us feel completely at home. We truly appreciated the little personal touches and the attention to detail. We are glad we booked at this spot! The balcony was wonderful to have and everything was clean. What stood out the most was our very responsive host making sure we got all checked in even while her car was broken down on the side of the road! Despite the emergency, she responded to all our messages promptly and helped us check in. I was extra grateful when I woke up extremely sick from some bad fruit the night before and we were allowed a late check out until I recovered! We even left one of our passports at check out and she made sure the staff kept it safe for us. Very helpful owners, would recommend.

Betty is the top host! She welcomed us with open arms. Very fast to respond, friendly and helpful! We were able to check out in the afternoon and enjoyed our last lunch at home before leaving for the airport. The view of the mountains is breathtaking at day and night time. The apartment is absolutely huge. It was our 3rd visit to Madeira with our elderly mum. She got beautiful bedroom with en suite bathroom and walk in shower. Betty also got an armchair for mum so she could relax on the balcony. We had such a comfortable and great stay! highly recommended!

upon arrival we were very well received by Ana. She explained everything to us and we were even able to arrive a little early at the apartment. She gave us tips for sightseeing, dining, and also told us the nearest supermarket. Ana was at her best!!! The apartment is perfect, there is everything you need even more than we imagined. Thank you for everything! We were able to fully enjoy this beautiful island. And Gabriel spent almost all his evenings in the pool 😄 thank you again from all 3 of us

It was a very nice apartment with a lovely terass and outside kitchen facilities. We were out and about during these days and didn't get to use the BBQ or the jacuzzi, and would recommend to stay here longer than two nights to make use of it all. To be clear, it is part of a family house but you barley notice them living next doors. An easy parking spot is included as well.

If I could, I would give to this accomodation and Patricia way more stars :) The flat is perfect. Great location, ocean view, everything was clean, nice and neat. Also those little, but big, details - dimmable light, extra fluffy blanket (not going to spoil more:) Watching stars while in jacuzzi.. Just awesome :) And Patricia is amazing host. Always quick answer, helpful, proactive, friendly. We enjoyed our stay very much and I will definitely book this place again, if we ever come back :)

Cristina was a wonderful host, always available with helpful tips and recommendations. The apartment was very clean and tidy, furnished, arranged and equipped in the best of taste. Stunning view, very quiet, even if very near to the expressway, and because of that perfect located to get everywhere easy and quick. Restaurants of all kind available within short driving time. Overall - very advisable!
