Vacation rentals with a fireplace in San Antonio River

We stayed here for my son's graduation from basic training for the Air Force and it was a great time for us! Only about 20 minutes to the base and nice and peaceful to come back to during the afternoons/evenings to relax! The Texas heat was hot, so the pool was fabulous to have there as well! The hosts were very responsive and helpful as well during our stay!

Kim’s place was great for our long family weekend. The primary reason we went on this trip was for Seaworld and this house was a very easy drive to it. The kids loved the pool and we got a lot of use out of it. The house was nice and clean and we felt like we had everything we needed there. Would definitely recommend!

The house was perfect for our family of 6- and kid-friendly! The inside of the house was thoughtfully designed by both the builder and the host. The living areas are open-concept, with plush furniture. There is also a nice office with double glass doors. The kitchen is big. The pool is everything it's cracked up to be as well- imagine a resort-like setting, surrounded by greenery on 3 sides. Private! Luxurious! We loved the bathroom and pool towels right inside of the pool house. The screened porch was perfect for morning coffee. Jordan was a wonderful host- responsive, kind, and proactive. We couldn't have asked for more. We would come back!

Great home to stay in. Game room was a big hit with the kids and enjoyed the pool. All rooms had plenty of space. Layout was perfect for what we needed.

The kitchen was fully stocked with every possible silverware, cookware, bakeware imaginable. Perfect for hosting family dinner. The house was immaculate and secure. It was a privacy fence, motion flood lights outside, security cameras and electric gate for on site parking. The location is easily accessible to downtown and interstate highways. The house is fully renovated with high end appliances, furniture, decor and bedding etc. The house is located in an area that’s being revitalized, but we had no issues and would definitely book again. Sean was very responsive when I contacted him regarding the code to the gate, without first noticing that he had emailed me all the information regarding the house in addition to having the information posted on the refrigerator.

Normally when I visit San Antonio it is for work or fun, but this trip was due to a family emergency. Cynthia was unbelievable. Not only did she work with me on family members coming in on different days and times, but offered to bring extra amenities for infants or elderly. She ended up bringing a shower chair for our elderly family members AND she asked me to share her contact information in the event any of them needed anything. 2 dining room tables so we all had a place to gather as a family, plenty of beds and space to spread out. The backyard was so relaxing. It was just beyond perfect. Her kindness made such a huge difference of a terrible situation.

This is the second time I’ve stayed with these hosts in this complex (different, but effectively identical unit this time) and this time was just as great as the first! I really appreciate the brand new place and how well appointed it is. Will definitely continue to come back when I am in Gruene.

Georgina’s place has been my home away from home when I visit my kid who is attending Trinity University. The location doesn’t have a ton of hotels or other options but I can stay here and have an entire house! The house has bars and restaurants within walking distance. Georgina is a fantastic host. She is quick to respond to any questions and makes good suggestions. Ask her about the bakery! Come and stay here.

We did a little staycation at Katherine’s place over a weekend in June. It’s a very nicely kept, nearly 100 year old home on a sleepy street that’s only a short walk away to The Pearl or St. Mary’s or a quick uber ride to downtown. Katherine was very communicative and helpful during our stay. All in all, a lovely spot for anyone wanting to stay just north of downtown!

Fatima did an excellent job outfitting her place! It’s very comfortable and has every amenity you could ask for, including bottled water and drinks in the fridge as well as snacks in the pantry and toiletry items in the bathroom. We enjoyed the provided coffee in the morning on the covered patio watching the chickens and roosters. The absolutely only negative was the street it is on. Some sketchy looking places, but never saw anyone, only chihuahuas resting in the middle of the road, so watch out for them, especially at night!

Overall the facility and Townhome were far above average. The facility has plenty to do and is easily accessible. The unit itself was fantastic for 2 guests. Open floor plan and a great kitchen. Sofa is very comfy. Bed was comfortable as well. The location of the unit is about an average of a 10$ dollar Uber to get to most restaurants and the Riverwalk is about the same. A very walkable location for most people. A sweet H-E-B grocery store is like a block away, with all the things you need for a good time and a good meal. The place was very clean and my wife is very particular about this, and I never heard a single comment about it, so it was great. Rene was fantastic as a host, responsive and friendly as well as accommodating. Very easy going Guy who even gave us weather updates about some crazy rain sweeping thru, incase we were out and about. Overall the place, location and host are top notch and I would definitely recommend it and would stay here again.

Perfect location for San Antonio Fiesta festivities. We booked the room so we would have a place to refresh in between events during Fiesta. Ramiro’s Place was very convenient and clean. We had great communication throughout our stay.

Great updated home. Spacious, clean and comfortable. Appreciated all the recommendations for things to see/do - San Antonio is an amazing town with much to enjoy! This location is SO convenient; literally 8-12 minutes to most places. We stayed for a month & always something to do. Also has wonderful dog-friendly trails and parks close by. Marcus and team very responsive to questions. Thank you!

Lots of space. Great for family gatherings. GREAT location, close to (pretty much walkable) many bars and restaurants.

The stay was wonderful! We loved all the space for our family. There was so much to do for the kids, which made for a fun and relaxing trip. I enjoyed sitting by the pool and watching them play and swim and then the foosball table and air hockey were a lot of fun once we went inside. Everything was clean and well stocked. The hosts are kind and responsive. We’re already wanting to plan another stay.

“Our stay at Ruben Alaniz countryside gem was absolutely perfect! The house was spotless, cozy, and had a gorgeous private pool that we enjoyed daily. The barbecue pits were a highlight—grilling under the stars with views of the grazing deer and livestock was unforgettable. The peaceful rural setting felt like a true escape, and Ruben was a fantastic host, quick to respond and full of great local recommendations. Great hosts. Great place. Great location. There’s so much do to here and it’s so close to other popular surrounding areas. Didn’t wanna go home. Our family’s 3rd go around at this location with Leavetown as our host and they haven’t disappointed.

It would be difficult to find a place so close to one of the biggest cities in the country, yet at the same time feel like you have a view of nature as far as you can see. During our stay we saw deer, armadillos and foxes. We enjoyed the spacious rooms and split layout. Thank you!
