Cabin vacation rentals in Saint Joe

This cabin was in the perfect location for all of the best hiking and kayaking in the area. It's very remote, but lots of food options 30 min away. The cabin itself was adorable and cozy, it was very clean and well kept. The basement was perfect for sleeping. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

The cabin was nestled in the woods, very peaceful and quiet! Loved the back covered deck!! The hot tub was relaxing after miles of hiking. The bed was comfy. Everything was clean and organized neatly. The kitchen was well stocked too. We would stay here again.

Lindsey and Heidi’s cabin was such a charming gem of a place. It was clean, cozy, peaceful, and very private! A perfect couples retreat. Her kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed to cook full meals. My favorite detail were the white waffle knit robes. I brought clothes to wear but probably didn’t need to because I pretty much lived in the robes my entire stay!! The hosts were so responsive to my questions and even suggested some local activities that were happening the weekend we were there, which was great! I highly recommend their cabin if you are looking for a place near the Buffalo River!

This location was the perfect spot for our girls getaway. Between the privacy, fire pit, and hot tub we had our own piece of heaven. The views in this area are breathtaking. Plenty of room and amenities!

The sunrise is supreme. The cabin details were well thought out and they had almost anything you could want. The kitchen is well stocked with extras like oil, coffee, filters, sandwich bags, and plastic cutlery. Sharp knives, Ninja coffee maker, laundry supplies, a lighter for the stove/grill/fire pit, and more. The AC worked well. The storms caused a tree to fall over the driveway and flooded out the hot tub. They were quick to answer and address the issues we had related to the storm. The turn-off is a bit unexpected, so read the access instructions carefully before you get there. It was easy to find with the instructions provided. The location was perfectly central to everything we wanted to do: Buffalo River, MTB at Ponca/Upper Buffalo, waterfalls south of Jasper, hiking and fishing, and Horseshoe Canyon Ranch (definitely look into the Via Ferrata!!!) We will absolutely stay here again.

I absolutely loved staying at this cabin! It was just two of us and our dogs but the host was very responsive and everything was as advertised. As far as the cabin amenities, it has all the basics you would need. But the property itself the real star! It is just incredible. Very private and serene. Front porch sittin that is hard to beat! Bring your binoculars!

We loved it. We came to the area for hiking and canoeing, and while we didn't get to do a LOT of that because of the weather and rain, we still had a fantastic time because we were able to get away, play games, and just relax. We were really impressed with the cabin. The big front porch was great for watching the rain and drinking coffee. The hot tub was great for relaxation. He had everything we needed, and was super friendly and helpful - thank you Davis! The driveway to get to the house may not be for every person or vehicle, but we did not mind. It was totally doable with 4x4, and Davis has spent a lot of time, money, and effort improving it (and is still working on it even over the weekend we were there) - raging flood waters don't take it easy on anyone. Thanks again Davis, for a fantastic place to get away from everything!

Great place to stay. The cabin had everything we needed for our stay. The creek was perfect for our younger kids to play in.

Nice and clean, modern cabin in the woods with friendly, neighborhood dogs to greet you. We felt secluded but close to grocery in Marshall, Skylark Cafe in Leslie, and near the Buffalo River. Views from the deck and from large windows inside is serene. Lots to do and natural beauty abound in this area!

The Triple D cabin was a great stay near the Buffalo River. We stayed in October but could tell that this place must be loads of fun in the summer. The cabin is on a complex of sorts, there are some other cabins, a restaurant, an antique store and there are a lot of projects going on to make this place a destination. The owner was nice and responsive and the staff at the cabins were nice as well. The restaurant Craw Billy's was great and is located about 75 feet from the front door of the cabin! The interior and exterior of the cabin have some much fresh wood, so much attention to detail it was super neat to stay in and really gave those true cabin vibes. Only feedback for host is I wish the TV was smart and bigger but besides that place was great. Thanks!

Neat little cabin away from it all! It is about 3.5 mi of gravely dirt roads and gets rockier with the steep incline to the cabin. Better have a 4-wheel drive vehicle. Be aware you may not have WiFi service. We couldn’t get it to work. Our phones also did not have service. No tv, but there is a fun record player/radio. Small charcoal grill to use. Couldn’t find a can opener, but there are other basic kitchen tools and a coffee maker with coffee available. The shared walkout overlook area was a cool feature. It extends right behind the larger cabin. We were lucky and didn’t have anyone else in that cabin. We met George, who lives in the area and oversees things. He was very kind and helpful. Nighttime is so quiet! Well, other than the wall heater that sounded like Bigfoot coming down the mountain! Do yourself a favor and use the plug in one! 5 stars though- clean and unique stay. Thanks!

This was a great place to stay. Beautiful countryside and amazing views of the mountains. Plenty of space for our 3 dogs to roam. Loved the outdoor grill and outdoor fire pit. We used both and had no problems. John was in communication with us for anything happening while we stayed there. Besides the free wifi we did have great cell service on the hill. Kitchen was well stocked with spices and supplies of all sorts. We will be coming back.

The cozy cabin was a great option for us, floating on the Buffalo River and hiking. Loved that our dogs were able to stay with us. Had everything you need to cook, extra fans, heaters, pillows, blankets.

We planned this as a 4-day waterfall chasing adventure and Dennis and Naomi were incredibly helpful in accommodating our needs, providing us with a list of the 5 best waterfalls to see and providing us with several interactive maps that were developed by a notable "waterfall chaser". As our rental period approached, the weather forecast showed cold and rainy for our entire 4-day stay. We decided to follow through with the rental and Dennis provided additional tips on hiking in the rain. Then, I threw out my back the day before our trip was to start, but once again we decided to follow through. We arrived late at night but with Dennis' guidance were able to find Big Oak Cabin with no trouble at all. Dennis further assisted by providing a list of the 5 best short and easy waterfall trails. Dennis was extremely responsive to other requests for assistance. The vacation turned out to be one of the most memorable we've had. thank you Dennis and Naomi!!

The owner was very communicative and helpful. He was responsive to our questions about the area and gave us great advice. Our stay, which included two families (total of 10 individuals) stayed very comfortably in this space. We enjoyed being able to cook out and do a campfire/smores with the kids. Firewood was available with a fire pit, which was convenient. The kids loved playing games in the game room when they needed something to do. The porch had a picture perfect view of the mountains, and we loved being able to lounge, have coffee, and chat. Our trip to Falling Water Falls was a huge hit with everyone. We swam there most of the day and explored the area. Anyone traveling in this area should be aware of ticks and how to prepare/manage while exploring the area. Overall, we would love to return.

Neat place to stay and Marshall is a great centralized location for ONF sights and outdoor adventures. Easy to find, easy to check in, responsive host. No hassle and a great place to call home base, hike the local hillsides, or just relax on the porch.

We absolutely loved the cabin on Silver Hill! Pam has the whole cabin stocked with so many thoughtful items that made it feel like home! From cozy blankets by the couches to seasonings and condiments and a fully stocked kitchen, this place has everything we needed and more! We wished we had packed more disposable dishes because we missed having a dishwasher but there were more than enough dishes for our 5 person family! Could not be happier with our experience or with Pam's excellent communication and hospitality. 5 star experience all around!

Came here for a company float trip and was surprised at how peaceful the location was. Just out of the way enough to feel at peaxe while also close to the rental place/river. Unsurprisingly the wifi was not great but we spent most of our time on the river or enjoying the outdoors anyway! Perfect for a couples! Our dog loved running around the property

We loved the peace and solitude of Tall Pine Grove. We explored the creeks and trails on the property and spent most of our time outside. We brought headlamps for after dark exploring and were able to find a very cool milk snake. We didn’t want to leave!

We were incredibly grateful for our stay at "Wishin 2 B Fishin." As a native Arkansas, it brought me so much joy to share the beauty of our Natural State with a could of out-of-state friends. The cabin was absolutely beautiful-peaceful, clean, and very well cared for. We love the quiet serenity of the area and were delighted to spot several chipmunks during our stay. We even made a furry friend in the neighbor's dog, which added a sweet, homey touch to our visit. The host was exceptionally kind and responsive, making sure we had everything we needed. A quick note for future guests: be sure to follow the directions provided by the host, as Google Maps led us a bit astray. All in all, it was a wonderful experience, and we would absolutely recommend this peaceful retreat to anyone looking to relax and enjoy the natural beauty. The location is very close to Tyler Bend, Silver Hill Floating Service, Buffalo Outfitters, and Gilbert. We had a great time.

Beautiful house!!! Very secluded. TV's worked great as did the wifi! Kitchen is beautiful with everything you need! Bathrooms had all the little extras you might want! This place is great!!!

The pictures of this cabin do not do it justice. When you drive around the bend and see the view it’s breathtaking. The cabin was spotless and had everything we needed! So many places do not have basics like seasonings, ziplocks etc. Betty had all this covered which made everything easier to plan for cooking. There were so many fireflies at night. I loved sitting on the porch and watching them. The bed was extremely comfortable! Betty was responsive quickly when we reached out. Everything about this stay was perfect. I give it 10/5 stars! We will be back for sure! There is also a lot of fun hiking around as well as some amazing food at the Ozark cafe!

It's a bit off the beaten path and that's what makes it amazing. The cabin is just the right size for a couple to get away. Sitting on the porch listening to the water was peaceful. The resident dog was really sweet. Stephanie is really nice and only a step away if you need anything. We plan to be back soon.

If you want to rest and relax, come to these cabins. Super quiet.
