One The old smelting works, near Hall for Cornwall

The Old Smelting works is a building of historical importance. Around 1892 and next to Brunels viaduct, it was a Tin Smelting Works. In recent years it has been converted into four modern apartments but holding on to as much of it’s industrial history as possible. The Smelting Works is in the centre of Truro, though quietly tucked away from all the hustle and bustle of the Town Centre which is just five minutes walk away. Train station a 5-10 minute walk away and close to all transport links.

Get away from it all with a cosy stay in a unique little barn conversion on a small holding with poultry, sheep and pigs. Acorn Barn sits at the end of its own driveway across a field set above a small CAMC 5cl. At night you may hear owls in the valley and the usual country noises by day from nearby working farms although the barn itself is double glazed and previous guests haven’t found any noises intrusive. You can see the railway line and look down on the duck pond and watch the poultry.

We stayed in Tonkin at Lambriggan Court and it met our requirements perfectly. Wonderfully peaceful but nicely situated to get to beaches and attractions on the North and South coast of Cornwall. The cottage was pristine and really well equipped, and having fresh eggs for breakfast was a bonus. Our hosts were friendly and helpful at all times.

I had such a lovely stay at Jodie’s cottage in Truro! The place was clean, cozy, and had everything I needed - a real home away from home. It’s in a great spot too, just a short walk to the town and lots of local cafes and restaurants, which made exploring super easy. Jodie was a fantastic host - really friendly, quick to respond, and full of great local tips that made my trip even better. Would definitely recommend staying here if you’re heading to Truro ☺️✨

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Poppet the Gypsy caravan which had a magical atmosphere and comfortable bed. The surroundings are peaceful and idyllic, wonderful gardens and wildlife, woodland walk, fun train ride, turtles and Alfie the friendly dog. The private bathroom was perfect and the shared chill out room was a superb space for relaxing and there are cooking facilities. Thank you to the amazing and kind hosts Steve and Gina. I would definitely recommend a holiday at Wildflower Cottage. Christine

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Air bnb. Lucy allowed us to check in early and check out late, which was really helpful as we had a long journey down. Lucy was absolutely lovely, and it was a pleasure to meet her and the family. The location was spot on, and although the annex is a part of the house, we didn’t hear them at all. The perfect drive away from multiple beaches. Thank you for making our holiday so perfect!

Myself & my partner spent a lovely week at Rose’s Stable. Anna was very friendly and gave us all the necessary information. Check in was easy, when we arrived the accommodation was clean and tidy, and felt very homely. Lots of leaflets available to look through and find nearby places. Surrounding area was peaceful and quiet, perfect for the relaxing break we wanted. Parking was available close by. Bed was super comfy, and rooms were spacious. We visited lots of nearby beaches and towns. The perfect week away. Thank you very much. Would highly recommend x

We had a wonderful time playing board games for new years! The space was gorgeous and super comfortable. The oven doesn’t work fantastically well and the host didn’t reply to messages, but the house was so nice it made up for those small things.

We loved our stay. The house had everything you could possibly need for a family stay. It looks even better than the pictures! It’s extremely peaceful and a welcome change to a busy hotel or caravan park you get in Cornwall. Definitely our favourite UK family holiday, we only wish we had stayed for longer. We felt incredibly fortunate to find Veronica lodge. It was a really peaceful, comfortable and private place for us to stay at for the week, rather than opting for one of the many caravan parks near by. Most importantly my two boys (6 & 9) felt relaxed and slept really well. The place was ideal for our needs and only a few minutes drive from Perranporth. A big highlight for us were the big window in the living room for which we spent plenty of time watching the rabbits or when the sun was out, opening up.
