Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Saalfeld-Rudolstadt

We had a great week in the Fichtelgebirge. The area is super nice for hikes and excursions as a family. The place was perfect. Beautifully furnished & superbly located (all excursion destinations can be reached in 15 minutes). Felix was also a great host. Although I am always available, even when on vacation. And his tips in advance were also great. Overall, therefore, a clear recommendation;-)

We visited Cor and Marie José's place for a family get-together with 12 people, from age 1 to 87. The place was perfect for a group with diverse needs - beautiful and cozy bedrooms for privacy and a lovely kitchen and dining area for lots of fun-filled family time. Cor and Marie José were super helpful and wonderful hosts. You can tell that they are passionate about what they do. They are just very warm and welcoming people that make you feel right at home in their house. We can highly recommend staying at their place.

We booked the place for a weekend and celebrated our family reunion there. We particularly liked the secluded location and the proximity to the forest. The children could play carefree outdoors, also the large group room with long table and cozy oven was just great! Thank you!

The cottage is very quietly located on the outskirts of a village and ideal starting point for hiking in the surrounding area. You can hike directly into the mountains from the house. By car, many other interesting destinations in South Thuringia and North Franconia are also quickly accessible. Supermarket and butcher is in the village, discount stores and large supermarkets are a few minutes away by car. The house is a typical Thuringian forest house with small rooms and steep wooden stairs, freshly renovated and very well equipped. The largest room is a games room with lots of toys for the kids. The communication with the host works very well, Marcus responds very quickly and tries to meet any requests. We enjoyed it here. If we are in the area once again we will book the place again.

Sandar and Hans are very nice - we had no problems at arrival and departure, everything went smoothly. The house is in a well-maintained condition and very clean. The kitchen was great! The communication was top notch. The house has a quiet and private location - beautiful view of the village. The surroundings are very nice and great for short hiking tours. The garden invites you to relax and barbecue. Shopping and restaurants in Großbreitenbach are about 8 minutes away by car. All in all, it was a very pleasant and quiet stay. We will be back!

We had a thoroughly lovely stay: the cottage is super nicely located with distant views. The outdoor area with its own outdoor seating is also beautifully designed. Also designed from the inside with a great kitchen and a large elegant bathroom. There's nothing missing. We didn't use the sauna in the summer. The double bed is very comfortable, rather hard, we slept like on clouds. We will be happy to come back and look forward to it.

The apartment in this beautiful area of Thuringia is very quiet, spacious and lovingly furnished, plus perfectly equipped with everything you need. The landlord is very friendly and always quick to reach. We felt very comfortable and would be happy to come back.

Very nice spacious apartment, very quiet for sleeping. Check-in worked super easy with a call and we were even able to get into the apartment at 11 am. Parking is available in the courtyard. The hostess Ms. Adelheid was super nice and helpful.

The apartment is small but nice and fully equipped. Ideal for one or two guests. It is a great starting point for cycling tours (e-bike) and hikes in the Thuringian Forest. The contact with Lisa is perfect. It's all straightforward because it's described very well. I would book again anytime. The price/quality ratio is unbeatable.

We had a wonderful stay with Thomas and Simone. The apartment was super equipped and extremely clean. Ideal for two nights and a great starting point for our exploration of Ilmenau and its surroundings. We were greeted in a very friendly manner and welcomed with cake. Communication went smoothly. We booked the place for the Rennsteiglauf and were more than satisfied. Very clean and cozy apartment in a quiet location, Swen was also able to recommend restaurants nearby and informed us about the train times. We felt very comfortable and can absolutely recommend the accommodation.

Everything is available for the stay. Well-equipped kitchen. Refrigerator, freezer, oven, and stove. Handy the table between kitchen and living room. TV with Netflix, etc. Internet is fine for laptop work. Internet good throughout the apartment. Bedroom and bed are fine. Easy to park your car in front of the house. Stores nearby. What to do? Within 1 hour drive Weimar, Erfurt (Saturday market), Gotha and Arnstad, Saalfeld, Coburg. On the way back, stop and rest in the nature, forests, hills and fields. Thuringia has turned out to be a positive surprise, certainly worth repeating.

The apartment is modern and tastefully decorated, the location to the city center is perfect. The only downside: The supermarket next door was supplied from 6 am, so our days started quite early…… The contact with Sebastian was great! Everything invites you to come back.

It couldn't be better! Sybille is a great host! Everything is well organized! And the apartment is a feel-good oasis in a perfect location, right in the old town! If back here in the region, then back here at Sybille's!

We were in Coburg for a short stay and were looking for and found an inexpensive and child-friendly accommodation. The kitchen amenities were great and the beds were comfortable. However, our highlight was the cozy play corner, which our almost 3-year-old daughter didn't want to leave. We had a great time ☀️

We were there as a family with 2 children (15/8). Everything as shown in the pictures, great condition and spatially larger than expected. Super comfortable sofa. Very nice communication and super flexible check-in. THANK YOU Linda, happy to come back.

Great location in the middle of Erfurt. Great restaurants, scenic and great transportation. Space was perfect for what we needed and it was very clean when we arrived (like new). Very easy to communicate with host.

Staying at Julia and Oliver's was very relaxing. We have proactively received all the information. Communication was very quick and friendly. Julia personally welcomed us, showed us everything and gave us great restaurant tips. The accommodation was sparkling clean and equipped with everything you could ever need. In addition, a pretty terrace invited you to relax. I can only recommend the place.
