Our stay was just great, we felt right at home. The apartment really offers everything you have at home. The bed is a dream😌. Everything is very clean, bright, spacious, even a generous freezer is available. Lots of nature directly within walking distance but also many possibilities to do something by car (Erfurt/Weimar/Coburg) 😊 but even after 1 week of stay - the time was far too short. Also the contact with Nicole and her family was very nice, you felt immediately welcome🤗. We really didn't miss anything, definitely worth a visit - be it for hiking, city trips or simply to unwind. Rustic, sparkling clean and super equipped apartment in beautiful surroundings. We hiked to the Saaleturm (if you want to go up, it costs a small entrance fee) and looked at Schloss Burgk (by the way, the fairy tale "Die goldene Gans" was filmed there). You can also relax and eat, drink and take a break on the castle terrace. An insider tip is the Café Isabellengrün, from which you can walk to the Bleichloch dam. When it rained, we played a game of "overtaking without catching up" - even our teenager liked it and we all had a lot of fun. Pure nostalgia! All in all, a well-rounded, successful short vacation that we had over the Pentecost days with Klaus and his wife.

The cottage is very quietly located on the outskirts of a village and ideal starting point for hiking in the surrounding area. You can hike directly into the mountains from the house. By car, many other interesting destinations in South Thuringia and North Franconia are also quickly accessible. Supermarket and butcher is in the village, discount stores and large supermarkets are a few minutes away by car. The house is a typical Thuringian forest house with small rooms and steep wooden stairs, freshly renovated and very well equipped. The largest room is a games room with lots of toys for the kids. The communication with the host works very well, Marcus responds very quickly and tries to meet any requests. We enjoyed it here. If we are in the area once again we will book the place again.
