The house is very easy reachable via public transportation; the post-van is 5 minutes to go, with direct connection to St. Gallen (with an overall travel time of 30 minutes). The apartment itself is in the basement of an old Stickerhaus, that is an embroiderer house where once the famous embroidery of the region have been manufactured. We guarantee leisurely days in an unconventional place.

The Studio-Pfauen is on the main street, 5 minutes from the center and 10 minutes from the train station. It is furnished for 2 people and is located on the 3rd floor with private entrance. Suitable for bike and/or motorcycle riders as our workshop is on the first floor. Book 3 nights or more with us and receive the Appenzell vacation card with 25 attractive free offers, as well as arrival and return travel by public transport in Switzerland. The renovated apartment is equipped with new furniture and impresses with its bright and friendly atmosphere. The apartment can accommodate 3 people. A few minutes' walk away you will find the picturesque Rhine, which invites you to relaxing walks or bike tours. The surrounding area offers numerous bike paths that lead you into the surrounding nature. The bus is in the immediate vicinity. The apartment is right in the center of the village next to a bakery (open 7 days) and a butcher shop.

The approximately 400-year-old farmhouse, which is located at almost 700 meters above sea level, was partially renovated in 2019. The rustic base was skillfully combined with modern elements. The house is ideally furnished for family vacations of up to 6 people. Of course, groups, couples and individuals are also very welcome. The house impresses with a spacious swing which is kept very close to nature. For children, there are various play options in and around the house.

Despite the quiet location (car strongly recommended!), you are only about 10 minutes in the valley. The Laterns ski resort is only 10 minutes away by car. Our gem is also perfect as a starting point for hikes. We always strive to improve our offerings and want to provide our guests with a nice and affordable vacation

The private entrance and free parking provide extra comfort. The private toilet with shower is a little older but clean and functional. Guests can use the bbq in the garden. A little outside the village center is our house where we as hosts are at home on the upper floor. In a few minutes' walk along the canal you will find yourself in a beautiful and idyllic landscape with a nature reserve. From this accommodation you can also reach many places in the shortest possible time as the highway is only 5 minutes away. The border with neighboring Austria can also be reached in minutes.
