Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Puntarenas Province

Sarah’s place is amazing, we will definitely be back. This house has oceanfront views, a beautiful yard and a great pool to make our stay very relaxing and peaceful! We saw macaws, a variety of birds, iguanas, lizards, coati’s and a mama sloth that the kids would run and try to spot every morning. The property manager was so friendly and helpful and would crack coconuts for us and spot the sloth when we couldn’t find her. Sarah would check in and see if we needed anything. She has a book at the house with wonderful recommendations of things to do in the area and places to visit that were reasonably close! We ate at Coquito’s frequently. They are the nicest restaurant owners with amazing food! We loved swimming in the pool and ocean every day. We enjoyed our daily beach strolls and didn’t feel like leaving much because of how peaceful and quiet Zancudo is, especially at Sarah’s place! I can’t say enough good things about this place, especially if you are looking for a relaxing getaway!

Axel’s Samara home is nothing short of amazing! After a super long day of travel I was speechless walking through the door - it is even better than the pictures. This property is a great way to experience a smaller coastal Costa Rica town while still feeling like you are living in luxury. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back!

Thank you to the hosts for creating a true paradise, this stay went above and beyond anything I had envisioned. My daughter and I felt at home the moment we arrived. The view of the ocean absolutely blew us away, and the peaceful jungle setting made it even more magical. We felt completely safe and private the entire time, which let us fully relax and enjoy every moment. This was more than a vacation rental, it felt like a retreat. We’ll never forget it. And one last thing, we HIGHLY recommend the tiramisu from Potz Bistro just down the road.

Eloide is such a wonderful host. She was there to greet us and made sure we had everything we needed. The unit was just perfect for us., very comfortable and a peaceful location. We loved the beautiful jungle surroundings and enjoyed a swim in the pool. This was a great find and we will be back again! Thank you for having us, Eloide.

Marlen was a great host! she was always responsive and quick. when we arrived she took us on a tour of the property. The place was nice and peaceful. we even got greeted by the neighbors puppy!

Cindy’s place was absolutely amazing. We loved every minute! The pool was SO nice, the views are incredible. It’s a short drive to the beach and town. Cindy was so great! She was so gracious and accommodating. We saw frogs, monkeys, iguanas, toucans and more all from the porch and pool. I really can’t say enough about the house and host! Thank you for an amazing time in your beautiful home!!!

Uvita This place is stunning! It's up in the hills of the jungle and super quiet. This modern home was gorgeous and immaculate and had everything we needed. The art work and the attention to detail was amazing! They left a bottle of wine, a beautiful fruit basket, homemade ravioli and complimentary T-shirts, wow and thank you! All the glass windows constantly remind you that you are in the jungle and to slow down, what an amazing space! The owner and hosts are super friendly and responsive and a pleasure to work with. Our trip was cut a little short and hope I get an opportunity to come back and soak it all in.

Incredible views, beautiful pool, private and quiet - 10/10 experience

My time in Costa Rica was great but what made it the best experience was my Airbnb with Leidy she was absolutely amazing the entire way and very helpful and communicative. I can’t wait to stay at her property again. Definitely worth it. The place was beautiful and clean and it made me forget all about my own home 😂

What an absolutely incredible experience staying at Nathalie’s Airbnb! Waking up in the morning to the sound of jungle with the cicadas, birds chirping, and howler monkeys + the most stunning view of the jungle was unreal! I also loved swimming in the pool as the squirrel monkeys iguanas and birds hang around it was SO cool- It was one of my favorite memories from our trip to Costa Rica! It was by far my favorite place we stayed and I really appreciated the in-depth detail of instructions she laid out for us! Also there was the CUTEST dog that hung out with us at the pool all day and we will miss him so much! We truly felt at home and loved the location to town as well :)

Host was very responsive, very clean property, wonderful pool & staff. Would absolutely recommend! We stayed for five nights and took day trips to Montezuma for waterfalls.

My husband, three-teenaged kids, and I had an amazing stay here! The condo is a great location close to the main strip for restaurants, shopping, groceries. The resort is well kept and the pool is top tier. The view from the balcony is breathtaking! The condo has washer/dryer and A/C which was necessary for our family of five. Communication with host was easy. We had an issue with water leaking from master BR’s A/C unit and Phil immediately had the issue rectified. We rented a car and drove from SJO airport, and we are so glad we did! Getting around is easier with the Waze app. It took us about 2 hours to get from SJO to condo due to afternoon traffic and about 1 hour and 15 minutes for return to airport in the early morning with less traffic. We give our stay at Anik and Phil’s a strong five star!!

This place is perfect location, steps from the beach and walking distance to most of the shops, food and light life! The bed was comfortable and it was quiet. They did my laundry for $5 and left it folded, outside of my room the same day. The bathroom was a little small but I didn´t mind. The water was hot. Would no doubt stay here again in Jacó.

Laura’s place was more beautiful than the pictures, we wished we could’ve stayed longer. She was so helpful, kind, and gave us the perfect amount of privacy while using the amenities. I highly recommend staying here for the views and distance for experiencing everything in tamarindo! Thank you so much Laura!

A place that's too beautiful, super clean, like being at home, plus the host is super accessible with excellent communication!

This condo is as pictured. Breath-taking views of the ocean. The two bedrooms are spacious, and it was a huge benefit that both bedrooms had their own private bathroom. The washer and dryer were an added bonus- and allowed us to pack light and do laundry while on the trip!! The host was excellent, providing helpful tips for the area to ensure we not only had a great time, but that we were safe. They recommended an excellent tour-guide of sorts who provided safe and dependable transportation from/to San Jose airport. They also took us on a tour to Manuel Antonio National Park. Fees were very reasonable. The pool in this facility was excellent, clean and well appointed deck with nice lounge chairs. There was a nice clean bathroom near the pool and a security guard always on duty. From a safety perspective, we really appreciated the gated facility and that there were staff/guards there 24/7. The neighborhood itself, we felt very safe walking around, never had an issue.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this Airbnb. We were celebrating a momentous occasion, and the host left a delicious bottle of champagne along with fresh fruit. This was such a special touch and helped to make our stay even that much more enjoyable. The place was clean and looked exactly like the photos. The beach view was the wonderful cherry on top! The host was very responsive to all of my questions and inquiries. I definitely recommend this Airbnb to others, as it was a lovely experience for us. Sending a big thanks to the host!

We loved our stay this weekend. The apartment was spotless, very nice, well equipped. The location is excellent, with easy access, the beach just a few steps away and very nice pools to enjoy and relax. In addition, Carla's service was excellent: very friendly and helpful at all times. Definitely a place we would go back to. 100% recommended!

Had a lovely stay at Ideal Living. Peaceful and private space for our 10-day trip. It was super clean, had everything we needed and Steve, our host, was highly communicative and friendly throughout. He even brought us fresh fruit from his farm, including fresh coconuts and prepared some fresh ceviche too. 5/5 stay!
