Farmstay vacation rentals in Puntarenas Province

My friend and I really appreciated Ana Maria's hospitality and her family's gorgeous home. We loved the special personal touches including the jungle of house plants and well-stocked library with board games and books. Having the fireplace stocked with wood made it possible to have the perfect ambiance for reading in front of the fire on a misty afternoon! We found it helpful to have earplugs at night, as the home is close to a transit road, and earplugs did the trick to help us sleep soundly.

I made it to the Cottage right before dark. Hearing Howler Monkeys up above was amazing! The fan was on high and both ceiling fans going. Bed was very comfortable and welcoming. I had traveled all day and it was perfect! Loved the airiness of the room and the simplicity of the bathroom and kitchen. Plan to stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay. Chandra was awesome. Would definitely recommend if you are looking to connect with nature.

Absolutely beautiful setting. Close to town, restaurants and beaches. We sat outside by the plunge pool with our coffee and watched Macaws. We saw a sloth on the property! The hosts always responded quickly. We highly recommend this amazing spot!

Beautiful home with a private and relaxing pool. Easy bike ride into town with private access to a beautiful black sand beach. The home is comfortable, clean and has a well stocked kitchen. Martha and her team (Ricardo and Ale) were extremely friendly and helpful and very responsive. Great job! We would stay here again.

Genny and Jason were wonderful hosts. The property is paradise surrounded by jungle but a close walk to the beach. Lots of shops and restaurants near by. The beds were comfortable. The shower was hot. Couldn't ask for anything more.

We absolutely love the finca. The home, hiking trails, waterfalls, surrounding views, the farm animals and especially Digna and Renee. This place is very special to our family. What an incredible getaway at Las Cumbres! It was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. The place is absolutely stunning, and the cabin exceeded all our expectations! There’s so much to explore nearby, making it an adventure-filled retreat. Our stay was simply delightful, and the host delivered outstanding service that truly made our experience unforgettable. This place was absolutely perfect for what we needed for our family of 4. Our boys are teenagers and were fine sleeping in the room separate from the house. Everything was as expected and communication was great. Views were gorgeous as described. One of our most favorite stays in Costa Rica.

A beautiful private place to relax on our Costa Rica vacation. I would recommend accepting the services of the free private tour guides. They were great at sniffing out the waterfalls and showing us the property. One of them had a keen interest in pointing out specific ball shaped rocks!

This has been my favorite Airbnb since I have been in CR. I absolutely loved it! We will remember our time on the farm fondly. The view is something indescribable. The open air kitchen was awesome! The bed is super comfy. The steep drive up is a little rough but we made it with a small standard auto rental. I can not recommend this Airbnb enough. Xinia is a beautiful human and I wish I had been able to spend more time with her.

Apartment with a very nice and modern industrial design, the photos of the advertisement match what it is and it is 3 minutes from Jaco boulevard.

I work remote and took my work to the mountains. I stayed at this hotel for a whole month. The mountains are beautiful and amazing to wake up to every morning. The sunrises and star gazing on this mountain was phenomenal. The fruitful trees that the monkeys have to climb daily was so inspiring to watch how God provides to all species. The sounds of the birds singing in the jungle was a great experience for my morning coffee. And last but not least the amazing staff here! I am blessed to have found this wonderful place to stay for a month! The food was amazing, and the service was excellent. Staff responded timely and very helpful. Great WiFi connectivity, electricity worked well, plenty of hot water. You will need a 4x4 vehicle or a taxi that provides it. Beaches are nearby and the culture was great to visit and explore. I see why this area specifically is the blue zone. Pura vida lives in this mountain top. Definitely recommend. Can’t wait to visit again. Glamping!!

Our stay at Rancho Montecito was beyond amazing. The accommodation is second to none, and the views from it are incredible and emotional; from the peace of the morning with the birds singing, to the exhilarating theatre of dramatic thunderstorms. The forest walk, ending at a stream with a green meadow beyond it, was beautiful, and the herds of white Brahman/Nelore cattle were striking against the jungle background. We love that this is a ‘no-kill’ farm. Debbie was welcoming and went out of her way to ensure that we had the best experience possible not only of her ranch, but also of the whole area. Her story of finding the farm, and the vision she had for it, was mesmerizing. Using her immense knowledge of fauna and flora, she poured her energy into it and molded it into the truly amazing place it is now. Thank you so much, Debbie, for such a unique and magical experience. We truly felt we made a lifelong friend from pretty much the moment we met you, and we can’t wait to return.

This place is a true hidden gem. It's tucked away in a very peaceful spot, perfect for relaxing and soaking up nature. The view is absolutely breathtaking—photos don’t do it justice. Sitting on the balcony, you’re surrounded by life: macaws flying by, the sounds of the jungle, and stunning quiet beaches. Shane was very resourceful and responsive throughout our stay. One tip: make sure to read the check-in instructions carefully ahead of time—the exact location isn’t listed in the PDF they send, so it can be tricky to find if you're not prepared. All in all, a magical and restorative stay. We’d definitely come back!

We (family with 2 children , 6 & 3 years old) felt very comfortable on the Fidelito Ranch. The kids enjoyed playing in the garden, feeding and showering the dogs, as well as the great horseback ride with Leon. We greatly appreciated the quiet location, but were also able to get to the larger cities quickly.

This place is fantastic. Big and spacious. Peaceful and quiet. We had hoped for lots of birds and more wildlife, but that was practically nonexistent. The place is fairly close to Santa Maria, which offers everything you would need for supplies and some great restaurants. If you are a larger group, this is the perfect place. Especially if you have kids. The soccer field was awesome. We would stay here again, and Gustavo and his group of helpers were very responsive and on top of everything! Thanks for helping make our stay wonderful.

We stayed only one night prior to our flight. Despite being close to the city/airport, it felt very private and was relatively quiet. The view was great, and we walked to a restaurant down the street for dinner. Beds were very comfortable. Stephen’s team was super responsive and went above and beyond.

This is a beautiful property: a pair of little houses set in a lush garden. A lot of attention to detail in decor and equipment available to renters. We would certainly stay here again!

I can honestly say this place was like no other!!We were passing through and needed a last minute single night stay. Robert was quick to respond and was a spectacular host! I had no idea we had signed up for. This place will forever be a wonderful memory of ours. We have stayed in countless luxury Airbnb’s but few will be a memory such as this one. The sound of the flowing water right out the back doors in the middle of the jungle with the sound of nature = priceless. Property was clean and had everything we needed. We had traveled all day and didn’t really feel like doing our grocery shopping that late in the evening. The host offers a food option where they prepare and bring it to you. We have been in Costa Rica for a week, and this was the best meal we have had so far! The food was absolutely perfect. This place has been a highlight of our trip. A absolute privilege to spend a few days here as a family. A gem of a house that felt immediately like a home. We loved the quirks and the passion for enjoyment. Top of our price range but to us it was worth every penny. Thank you Tucker.

Luis was a wonderful host. Very attentive and responsive, and had no problem answering our questions despite the language barrier. All the necessities were available, as well as extras we didn't expect. His family even gave us a small parting gift for each of my young children on our last day. The house is in a beautiful location; somewhat difficult to find at first through the winding mountain roads, but once we knew where it was it was nice to have such a private spot. The view is absolutely breathtaking. Having a morning coffee on the patio looking out over the valley was my favourite part of our trip!
