Vacation home rentals in Puntarenas Province

This house is beautiful! The rooms are great. The kitchen is large and it has a nice pool and hot tub. It is set back from road 100 meters and has a private gate making it feel very secluded. There are some nice local restaurants with great views of the city 10 minutes away as well as a small grocery a few minutes away. We had a great stay!

Excellent location, a few minutes from downtown Tamarindo and places of interest, ideal for a group of friends or family. A whole complex for private enjoyment with friends or family

It’s always a pleasure to stay at Freddy’s place. He’s a great host. The pool is lovely and the property is surrounded by nature. The house is comfortable and cozy with lots of outdoor space. This is our favorite place to stay when we are working in the area.

Great location, very complete kitchen utensils and some appliances are even new. However, I note that the dining table was extremely dirty, even with cat hair embedded on it (we had to clean it 3 times to make it decent and the black rag didn't come out). In addition, the shower was quite uncomfortable because there was no pressure for the hot water (not so for the cold water). Finally, the fans were very old and dusty. We had a great stay anyway.

Awesome stay at Mike's Bamboo Cabin - clean, very private and well equipped! The best part is its serene and tranquil surroundings, lots of birds, and a nice trail down the road into the forests where had great wildlife experiences. Mike is a wonderful host, probably the most organised we've met. He gave super detailed and clear instructions on everything you need to get there safely and to have a enjoyable experience. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

My family and I were so pleased with our choice. The home was very clean, lots of parking. The outdoor covered patio is perfect for rainy evenings. The pool was cleaned as soon as we got there and we enjoyed it every day. I recommend going to the home before going to the grocery store because it is well stocked. Martin even had coffee from their family and it was the best coffee we had the whole time we were in Costa Rica. The restaurant recs from Lorena were on point and delicious. I suggest staying for at least three or four days because the amount of wildlife that traverses through the property changes from day-to-day. There is a resident sloth that lives right outside the gates and we saw him three out of the five days that we were there. another sloth that we saw every morning on our walk that was about a 10 minute distance from home. So many tropical birds. We would stay here again, highly recommend. Check out was extremely easy and effortless. Also, several walkable restaurants.

We loved our stay at this private little place close to the beach. It's a bit overgrown, which adds to the charm in my opinion, though the walkway to the pool could perhaps be easier to get through with some trimming. It was beautiful and clean, and if it hadn't been for an abundance of mosquitoes swarming the porch, it would have been absolutely perfect, however that's obviously not the hosts fault. 🙂

This was a really nice property. Pool was amazing. Clean and gorgeous setting. Private oasis ! I loved this place. I am very active and walked or hiked 15-20k each day during my 2 week stay and didn’t have a car so I didn’t mind that it was a little bit off the beaten path and not near the city center. Weights, exercise bike, pool table were all nice to have. Air conditioning worked well. Did I mention the pool ? Laundry on site worked well, all amenities were as advertised, full kitchen, the outdoor barbecue area was really nice although I did not use it. Be sure to check out this small local “pub” near the Wal Mart and tell Eva that the Pepsi guy from Canada recommended it ! Bar y Restaurante Chicken Tempura

This place is total gem 💎 its pictures do not do it justice. It’s absolutely breathtaking, modern, safe at location is close enough to everything yet good distance away so you can enjoy the private luxuries the place offers. It is clean, clutter free, well kept, has the items you most need and everything works especially the A/C. The added bonus is the excellent concierge service with High Vibe it blew my mind—exceeded expectations!! I cannot thank Janice for this added touch which made the trip so relaxing because I knew there was a team right there at the ready to answer questions and respond to our needs. We would book again without blinking!

We had a wonderful stay at this charming spot in Sámara Beach! What really stood out to us was the exceptional friendliness and helpfulness of the staff — they made us feel truly welcome from the moment we arrived. The room was cozy, clean, and thoughtfully decorated, and we absolutely loved the lush interior garden and the secluded pool — a peaceful little oasis tucked away from the street. The location was also perfect, with plenty of amazing local food spots just a short walk away. Everything about this place contributed to a relaxing and memorable stay. We’re very happy with our choice and would love to come back next time we visit Sámara. Highly recommended!

We felt very comfortable in the accommodation. It is modernly decorated and perfect for up to 4 people. Kitchen, bathroom, room - everything perfect. Private parking in front of the door. The view from the balcony was almost better than visiting the national park - we saw lots of birds, monkeys and other animals. We would recommend it to anyone traveling with a rental car.

Our stay at **Carlos' house** was absolutely perfect. He was incredibly **responsive and helpful**, ensuring we had everything we needed. We even received an **extra cleaning after two days** and **free laundry service**, which was a wonderful bonus. The location is fantastic—just a few minutes from the beach. I would **highly recommend** this place to anyone looking for a great stay!

A group of eight of us (two families with kids) stayed at Ana's house in April. The four bedroom layout with shared kitchen & living room worked out well for our group. April is one of the hottest months in Costa Rica so we were very happy to find that all of the bedroom ACs and living room AC were adjustable and worked well to keep us cool. Although the true highlight of our stay was Mari! She made us feel so welcome and well cared for, she is very kind. Every morning she would make us a delicious breakfast (which you choose from a menu Ana sends ahead of time) and it would always be served on time. Mari also keeps the house in great shape with daily housekeeping (or as desired). We also enjoyed the private pool and surrounding lounge areas. It was fun to go outside in the morning to see a green parrot/parakeet(?) family that lives in the tree on property. We also saw daily lizards sunning themselves in the yard but they kept their distance. Overall a great spot to call home.

Wonderful experience! The house was very nice and spacious. Lovely outdoor space, huge pool, nice outdoor dining and BBQ area, beautiful views especially during sunset time! Beds were comfortable, plenty of bathrooms, good house for large groups. Kitchen had everything you could need. Definitely make sure to have a 4x4 car like the description suggests, the drive to house from main road is about 20 min of steep hills and dirt/gravel road. You get used to the drive after the first day. Worth it for the amazing views and privacy at the house. We were able to spot many animals around the house and enjoyed having breakfast and dinner every day with spectacular views. They have many pool floats and toys. The host was very friendly and quick to respond for anything we needed. Thanks for everything! Pura Vida

We loved our stay! The house was spotless and gorgeous. We loved having breakfast outside everyday and enjoying the view. The hammock outside was wonderful and we loved falling asleep to the sound of the stream. It had everything you needed for cooking meals and feeling at home. The location was close to chirripo national park and just an hour and a half from Nauyaca and eco chontales. Nina was so kind and helpful. 10/10 would recommend!!

Loany’s place at Ciudad Del Mar is truly a gem! The community is stunning—beautifully landscaped, secure, and just minutes from the beach. The home itself is cozy, immaculate, and thoughtfully stocked with everything you could need. The layout was absolutely perfect for our group—ideal for two small families or a family traveling with in-laws, offering just the right amount of shared space and privacy. One of the best Airbnb’s I’ve stayed in my life! My sister and I felt at home right away, it’s so cozy, warm and very clean. It’s a comfy place! There is many restaurants and supermarkets walking distance. And what can we say about Heilyn?! She is a super host, she is sweet, kind, respectful, very helpful! Excellent woman!
