Cabin vacation rentals in Prior Lake

We had a fantastic stay and would absolutely return to Beth’s cabin. It’s hard to believe such an incredible lake experience is just about an hour from the Twin Cities. The cabin, while cozy and charming, had everything we needed. The backyard setup offered a stunning view of the lake and made for the perfect evening meals and hot tubbing. Just a small note for future guests: if privacy is a top priority, it’s good to know that one bedroom has a curtain and the other has a sliding barn-style door. It didn’t affect our stay, but something to keep in mind depending on your group.

Very much enjoyed our stay at The Malbec! It's close enough to town to go do things during the day, and far enough out to feel like you're relaxing in the country. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable!

Chris’ place was just as described. Beautiful views, clean, and sharp kitchen knives were a lovely bonus! Like some others have said I would prefer blinds or curtains in the front living room for a bit of added privacy.

Great location not to far from the twin cities. It was great that there were kayaks and a canoe there for us to use free of charge. Also, there were instructions for using all of the necessities in the home, like the hot tub, fireplace, etc. Thanks for a great, relaxing weekend!

We had a great stay. The cabin was clean, easy to find and the views/property are beautiful! Nice neighbors in what seems like a great lake/cabin community ! The owner was very responsive, flexible and kind. We would definitely recommend.

I was not able to enjoy the dock or lake due to the weather. Other cabin guests walk through my lot space and came up to my window and looked in on me, I didn’t care for that but not the hosts fault. but this isn’t a very private a spot of that is what you are looking for. Others fish and hand out on your dock and have random boats tied to the dock. I am uncertain if they are shared socks, but I was under the impression it was for the cabin I rented. Other than that, the cabin is cute, clean and close to the water.

We really enjoyed staying at Roy's place and plan on being back in the future!

5 Stars – Peaceful, Perfect, and Exceptionally Hosted We booked Maria’s cabin last minute due to unexpected home construction, and she went above and beyond to accommodate us—including helping extend our stay without hesitation. The cabin is peaceful, clean, and perfectly located. We spent our days relaxing on the deck overlooking the lake, enjoying quiet mornings and stunning sunsets. Maria even let us use their pontoon, which made for incredible days of fishing and swimming. We caught big sunfish nearly every cast right from the dock and had an amazing fish fry! Maria’s flexibility, kindness, and thoughtful hospitality made a stressful time feel like a mini-vacation. Highly recommend this spot for anyone needing a break from the chaos of everyday life.

I needed a place to be alone and rest in a quiet and peaceful place. I am a stressed out caregiver and needed some respite. I wanted to be on a lake to look out at and sit by. I found the perfect place! Erika was a wonderful host who had some nice touches to make me feel welcome. I loved the feeling of being in a cabin on a lake but so close to the metro! I had beautiful sunsets! I’d love to return with my grandkids in the summer. There are so many water toys to play on the lake!

We had a great week! The main level was listed as "shared," but no one else was ever there when we were. There were 2 wonderful patios, 1 right off the master bedroom. It was less then a block to Bald Eagle Lake with a small beach. Beds were very comfortable. We would love to come back!

Leisa was a fantastic host! The cabin was extremely clean, and included everything you need to feel right at home. The location was fantastic - peaceful and private. I’m positive this hidden gem won’t be so hidden for long. Easily one of the most memorable vacations for me. Highly recommend!! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

This cabin lives up to its "hygge" description. It's peaceful, comfortable, and cozy, especially the sleeping loft. Great place for a personal retreat or romantic couples getaway! I loved the thoughtful Nordic decor, the big, well-equipped kitchen, and the heated floors. I also liked the wooded setting -- I saw deer and heard owls, and went hiking at William O'Brien State Park, only 5 minutes away. Susan was responsive and friendly, and she knows a lot about the history of the area. Highly recommend this unique cabin for its appealing combination of rustic simplicity and contemporary convenience and comfort.

AMAZING cabin. We had a family get away for a couple nights and didn’t want to leave! Great running trails, fishing, comfortable and beautiful home. The fall colors were breathtaking. Tricia was a great host! We really hope that we can come back soon!

Myself, my mother and my three children stayed for 6 nights at Sally’s place. We loved our stay. We were a short drive to Nickelodeon Universe, but most importantly the lake views were just as wonderful as I had imagined. We ate breakfast every morning on the patio overlooking the lake. My children loved swimming in the lake off the little sandy beach area. Sally took my three children for a ride in the paddle boat and they loved it. My children loved talking with Sally. Don’t miss out on the relaxing scenery.

The house was comfortable and very nice, it had recently been updated. We enjoyed staying there.

My co-worker and I enjoyed the stay at the cabin. It was perfect! Made the work trip so much more relaxing and enjoyable. David was responsive when messages were sent. If ever a need to be in MN for work, this is where we will stay 100%.

This was a fabulous place to stay - just the right size for two, and very cozy - while friends did their own rustic cabin camping in nearby William O'Brien! A side-channel of the St. Croix River is just out the door, with a short hiking trail through the nearby woods, and birds singing their spring songs. It was just what we needed for a quiet respite.
