Modern 2 Bed and 1 Bath - 6 Blocks from Mayo

CindyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We stayed for a month and felt right at home. It was perfect for my husband and I and our grandkids were able to visit. Great location, we walked downtown almost every day. I really appreciated a months worth of garbage bags, dishtabs and other essentials. The beds are comfortable and the sofa and chair were nice.

KayBird Cottage- Entire Parkside Corner Home

BrettRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We were staying in Rochester for a wedding and lived at the Kottage for three nights. If you have up to 5 people in your party, it's a great space. Wonderful kitchen with everything you need. Beds are comfortable. Bathroom is clean and has a great shower. Very quiet and peaceful. If we ever find ourselves returning to Rochester (we're in Tennessee), we will definitely look into reserving this space again. Well worth the investment!

Discount Charming 2 Bedroom Close to Mayo

MistyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This house truly felt like a home during a very stressful time of cancer treatments. We were here for 6 weeks and the hosts were welcoming and generous and warm. We are in Rochester a couple times a year for appointments at Mayo Clinic and I can say that we won’t stay anywhere else if this rental is available. The hosts were very responsive and were able to fulfill all of our requests with speed and kindness. Great location and close to the clinic and anything else you might want to do in Rochester. It became a running joke that everything was two miles away! Thank you, Mark and John, for an amazing stay!

Luxury Cottage | 5 Blocks from Mayo | No Stairs!

My wife and I had a wonderful one in this mini house. Since we arrived, everything was impeccably clean and very well organized. The fridge and furniture were new and modern, which provided a feeling of freshness and comfort. Each space was thought out in detail, which made us feel at home from the first moment. The house is cozy, quiet and perfect to disconnect and rest. Without a doubt, you can see the love and care they have put in every corner. We would love to go back and we totally recommend it. Thank you for giving us such a special place to enjoy as a couple!

Luxury Home - Newer Construction - 3 BR/2 Bath

KaraRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This was by far the best Airbnb we’ve stayed at in Rochester. Sarah was an exceptional host and her house was beautiful! It is hard to find truly elevated accommodations when traveling with your fur-baby, but this house checked all the boxes for our roadtrip to MN to catch up with family and friends. We appreciated having a full garage to park in and a private backyard for our dog. The neighborhood is newer, safe and very walkable - we even located a park steps away as well as a doggy park a short drive away. This felt like our home away from home. We will definitely seek out this property again and highly recommend both this house as well as our amazing host, Sarah!

Your guide to Rochester

All About Rochester

Located amid tree-topped bluffs in southeastern Minnesota, the city of Rochester lies in the valley of the Zumbro River. The river, which winds its way downtown, provides opportunities for kayakers and tubers to float down the waterway. Rochester is Minnesota’s third-largest city and home to one of the country’s best-known medical facilities, which has fed the city’s growth, but it manages to keep a small-town vibe with a walkable downtown.

During the warmer months, musical concerts and other artistic performances take place by the riverside, and you can hop on one of the city trolleys to check out a wine trail, a local brewery, or the farmers’ market. The Twin Cities are a little over an hour north, while the Mississippi River’s Bluff and Amish Country are within an hour’s reach.

A well-developed park system around the city offers more than 85 miles of multi-use trails to explore. Near the heart of downtown, the Quarry Hill Nature Center features trails and paved pathways for hikers and bikers. The area was underwater during prehistoric times, and you may find fossils and other remnants if you keep your eyes out for them. During the wintertime, you can rent snowshoes and cross-country skis at the quarry.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Rochester

The best time to stay in one of Rochester’s vacation rentals is during early summer, when temperatures are typically pleasant. July and August are warm to hot and more humid, but you can cool off by paddling on one of the nearby lakes and rivers. In September and October, temperatures cool down, and the nights grow chilly. Apple orchards and changing fall foliage are main attractions, as are the pumpkin patches and bonfires.

Snowfall often begins in October and lasts through April, and Minnesota winters are snowy, icy, and cold. The Christmas holiday season kicks off in November with the Festival of Trees, and skating rinks like the outdoor skating rink at Soldiers Field are a popular place to be — next to a fireplace is nice, too. January and February temperatures stay below freezing, and the wind chill factor can keep temperatures at zero degrees Fahrenheit. But there’s little chance of cabin fever with themed ice bars, ice sculptors, DJs, and bright lights of the SocialICE festival. March weather can still have freezing temperatures, but the winter thaw usually begins by April.

There are 30 miles of blacktop for biking in the warmer months and for cross-country skiing in winter.
